Steak fans, sharpen your knives: Palm Beach County’s steakhouse scene is seriously stacked. From LongHorn’s laid-back, cowboy charm to The Capital Grille’s buttoned-up elegance and Ruth’s Chris’ signature sizzle, Darden’s trio covers all the bases.

But wait, there’s more.

Morton’s keeps it classic for dealmakers, Bourbon Steak brings wagyu and wow to Delray, and Hyde Park Prime serves up prime cuts with a side of swank.

Feeling extra hungry? Texas de Brazil’s endless churrasco and salad bar might be your move.

Whether you're dressing up or digging in, here’s a cheat sheet to the county’s top chain steak spots starting with the newest offerings first.

Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Delray Beach

Hyde Park's fun and smoking seafood tower for four, $89.

A newbie among the chain's dozen outposts, Hyde Park lends a traditional steakhouse experience with a menu that leans heavily into the classics; think bone-in ribeyes, filet mignon and shrimp cocktail. A genius touch: the menu's color chart guide to beef doneness preferences (every restaurant should do it.) Prices reflect the upscale setting but early bird summer dining specials from $28 to $53 and happy hour deals make it more approachable.

Bourbon Steak

Slow poached in butter and herbs before being finished on a 900-degree, wood-fired grill, the tomahawk ribeye is sliced tableside at Bourbon Steak.

Bourbon Steak, the latest spot from James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina, opened in March at The Seagate hotel. Known for top-tier American, Kobe and wagyu beef and a favorite among power players in cities like Washington D.C., Los Angeles and New York City, this upscale newcomer brings tableside flair and serious style. Even though it’s near the beach, it’s definitely a place worth dressing up for.

Capital Grille, LongHorn, Ruth's Chris

LongHorn SteakhouseThe Capital Grille and Ruth’s Chris Steak House are three iconic American steakhouses owned by Darden Restaurants (a company many people know via Olive Garden).

While each is celebrated for their high-quality meats and distinct dining experiences, every now and then I run across Facebook groups asking for differences between the concepts. Chew on this:

LongHorn Steakhouse is a casual, Western-themed spot for flavorful steaks (our editor’s pick) at accessible prices. It prides itself on serving fresh, never frozen steaks that are wet-aged for at least 21 days and seasoned with proprietary blends. Certified Grill Masters (test required!) ensure each steak is expertly prepared.

LongHorn's ribeye is a popular choice.

The Capital Grille delivers a high-end, white tablecloth experience. Steaks are dry-aged in-house for 18 to 24 days and hand-carved by an in-house butcher. It’s also home to my all-time favorite restaurant deal, the “Plates” lunch, where $28 in Palm Beach Garden or $30 in Boca Raton scores a dry-aged "New York Strip Steak Frites" paired with soup or salad. Pro tip: Get the Caesar with extra anchovies. Portions are satisfying and servers treat you like royalty.

The Capital Grille's special 22-ounce prime bone-in ribeye. It's $74 in PBG but $77 in Boca Raton.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is known for its signature sizzling steaks served on 500-degree plates, ensuring every bite stays hot. The menu features wet-aged USDA Prime steaks, broiled using a patented method and seasoned simply with sea salt and fresh ground pepper. No matter the location, the always-packed happy hour earns raves. You heard it here first: A new three-course $55 deal running June 30 until Sept. 7 includes its famous 6-ounce filet mignon topped with shrimp.

Morton's The Steakhouse, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton

Morton's iceberg wedge, 8 oz. center-cut filet paired with petite lobster tail, loaded baked potato and Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake.

Another chain to consider is Morton’s The Steakhouse with its decades-long reputation as a safe bet for special occasions and power lunching, albeit not in our neck of the woods because both locations open late afternoon for "Power Hour" aka happy hour and dinner. Known for its old school glam factor, it merits a mention in Graydon Carter's new memoir, "When the Going Was Good: An Editor's Adventures During the Last Golden Age of Magazines." Pro tip: From Aug. 1 to 3 the budget-friendly "Power Hour" gets the all-night treatment. See you there.

New York Prime, Boca Raton

Tableside presentations with flair are found at New York Prime steakhouse in Boca Raton.

New York Prime exudes the polish of a classic American steakhouse, where prime cuts are seared at 1700° and service is as theatrical as it is attentive. Part of the CentraArchy Restaurants portfolio, with sister locations in Atlanta and Myrtle Beach, the Boca Raton outpost has cultivated a devoted following. Among them is Post reader Richard Gornitsky, who praises it as his preferred destination for a perfectly cooked steak in a lively, upscale setting reminiscent of a supper club.

Texas de Brazil, Palm Beach Gardens

National steakhouse chain Texas De Brazil offers one of the 'meatiest' (pun intended) all-you-can-eat menus around.

Texas de Brazil is a known for its all-you-can-eat churrascaria experience. Endless servings of flame-grilled meats carved by gaucho chefs and a better-than-usual salad bar make this an easy choice for those with hearty appetites. Welcoming ambiance, attentive service and a wide selection of wines and sides make it a popular destination.
