It sometimes feels like we need to break the bank to get that glossy, salon look. In reality, however, there are many simple and low-cost changes that we can all make to improve the look and overall quality of our hair.

Wash only when necessary

The best approach to take is to wash your hair when it’s dirty, not just out of habit. As a general rule, fine and straight hair needs to be washed more often than thick and curly hair.

If you absolutely need to use a hair dryer (perhaps you’re in a rush), try and use one that allows for a cooler, kinder setting.
