Antonia Salzano, mother of soon-to-be Saint Carlo Acutis speaks in N.Y.

Carlo Acutis, left, was born in London in 1991 to a wealthy Italian family. His mother, Antonia Salzano, is pictured in front of her son's portrait. In 2006, Acutis died of acute leukemia within 10 days of becoming ill. In his 15 years he lived a life devoted to his Catholic faith, which he shared online with others, earning him the moniker "God's Influencer." In 2025, nearly 20 years after his death, Acutis is set to be canonized by United States-born Pope Leo XIV. He is the world's first millennial saint.
