Dez Patmon has had a week, no?
The Oregon senior delivered her second walk-off hit in six days, this time giving the Ducks a 3-2 win over Liberty in eight innings Friday night at the NCAA softball Eugene Super Regional.
Playing in front of a sellout crowd at Jane Sanders Stadium, Patmon drilled a single to center to drive in Kedre Luschar for the game-winning run.
Earlier in the week, Patmon hit a three-run homer as Oregon walked off with a 10-7 win over Stanford to claim the Eugene Regional.
The Ducks (52-8) captured Game 1 in the best-of-three series. Oregon needs one more win to earn its first Women’s College World Series berth since 2018.

In a game where the rule book was almost as important as the bats and gloves, Oregon fended off several challenges by Liberty to pull out Game 1. The Ducks took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, only to have Liberty battle back with runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Kai Luschar had three hits, scored a run and drove in a run for the Ducks. But she was also involved in two replays that resulted in outs as it was ruled Luschar left the bag prematurely. In one case, Luschar scored a run that was wiped; the other came on a steal of second base that became an out to end the seventh inning.
The Ducks also struck with a review in the eighth inning, calling attention to incorrect uniform number by a pinch runner that led to an out.
Paige Doerr, an Oregon State transfer, and Savannah Woodard had two hits each for Liberty (50-14).
The Ducks used three pitchers. Staci Chambers picked up the win by setting down seven of the Flames’ final eight hitters.
