NJ Transit features Shore pizzerias, breweries on new interactive map

New Jersey is home to thousands of pizzerias and breweries, and more than 100 are getting some love from NJ Transit.

The bus, rail and light rail system launched a "Pizza and Pints" map that highlights places to grab a slice or a glass of beer, wine or spirits within walking distance of NJ Transit stations.

Hungry travelers can search the map, available at njtransit.com/pizza, by trail, bus or light rail line to see nearby restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries.

"Pizza and Pints’ is designed to boost economic activity for New Jersey-based businesses while increasing recreational ridership by offering new and existing customers the opportunity to visit some of New Jersey’s best spots by public transit,” NJ Transit President and CEO Kris Kolluri said in a news release.

Blonde, a light European-style lager, is a signature beer of Asbury Park Brewery.
