Evacuations ordered for 2 wildfires in southern New Mexico

Evacuations were ordered Monday night for two New Mexico wildfires.
The 7 Springs Fire is 350 acres in size, located south of Mescalero and north of Cloudcroft, and is 0% contained. Evacuations have been ordered for four zones to the east, south and west of the fire: MES-085-B, MES-085-C, MES-088-C, MES-088-D. They are shown on the map below.

Sign up for our NewslettersThe Trout Fire, burning since June 12, is 24,706 acres in size and 0% contained. Evacuations have been ordered for zones 1. Lake Roberts, 2 - Thunderbird, 3 - Sapillo Creek, 4 - Bear Dam, 5 - Gila Cliff Dwellings, 6 - Bear Canyon, 8 - Indian Springs Ranch, 9 - Cooney Place, 10 - Mimbres, 11 - San Lorenzo, 12 - Santa Rita Mine, 26 - Lampbright. They can be seen in green on the map below:

The Trout Fire is located near Meadow Creek and Highway 15, North of Silver City in Grant County.
