Mariska Hargitay fittingly made a special My Mom Jayne screening a family affair as she stepped out with her three kids on Monday, June 23. The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress’s three kids have become her biggest supporters as she takes a look back at the life and legacy of her late mom, Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield, in her new film—and they were back by their mom’s side in Los Angeles for a special red carpet appearance.
Hargitay—who shares sons August, 18, and Andrew, 13, as well as daughter Amaya, 14, with husband Peter Hermann—ditched the Old Hollywood, Jayne Mansfield-coded looks she’s been donning for other My Mom Jayne press events, instead going sleek and modern in a fitted black long-sleeved dress with a mockneck and floor-length hemline. Wearing her balayaged brunette hair in middle-parted waves, the 61-year-old actress accessorized with a belly button-length pearl pendant necklace and metallic platform heels. Hargitay was all smiles as she posed with her arms around her three children at Monday’s event.

Meanwhile, her mini-me’s went for contrasting looks for their mom’s red carpet, with August donning a striped t-shirt, metallic black jeans, and white sneakers. Andrew broke up his all-black t-shirt and jeans look with a pair of baby pink sneakers, while Amaya took cues from the pop of color with her own ruffled light pink dress.

While Hargitay and Hermann have traditionally kept their kids out of the spotlight, the trio have been ramping up their red carpet appearances to support their mom’s documentary. They suited up for a black tie Tribeca Film Festival premiere in June, shortly after walking the red carpet as a family at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

Hargitay previously got visibly visibly emotional when speaking to InStyle about what her family’s support means to her. “Well my husband is my biggest supporter, and it’s been amazing," she said, tearing up. "Being in Cannes with the family was kind of like tectonic plates shifting. It was so beautiful and to see my children proud of me was…I don't have the word for it but [it was] deeply meaningful."
