- Queen Camilla wore $2.7 million worth of jewelry in just the first three days of the Royal Ascot.
Queen Camilla’s jewelry has quickly become a highlight of her public appearances, with the royal frequently choosing to model some of the biggest showstoppers from the royal family’s jewelry collection. The queen has been breathing new life into iconic pieces during her reign, from some of Queen Elizabeth II’s most cherished tiaras to the $10 million, 185-year-old brooch that inspired Princess Diana’s (now Kate Middleton’s) sapphire and diamond engagement ring. And the 2025 Royal Ascot was no exception as Queen Camilla showed off a rarely-seen royal heirloom that has been hidden for nine decades.
While joining the royal family at the annual horse race on Saturday, June 21, Queen Camilla paired her all-white look with a diamond brooch that hasn’t been seen in almost a century. Wearing a white v-neck long-sleeved dress with a large black hat adorned with white flowers and ribbon, the queen added some sparkle to her outfit with the Rothschild Brooch.

The diamond jewelry piece—which features a triple-loop bow embedded with diamonds with a diamond in the middle as well as a diamond flower at the bottom—was gifted to Queen Mary in 1893 at her wedding. The Queen Mother also wore it when she was the Duchess of York, but it hasn’t been seen in the public eye since it was worn in 1936 (meaning Queen Elizabeth never publicly wore it during her reign). According to U.K. jeweler Steven Stone, the brooch is estimated to be worth around £80,000, which would be over $108,000 today.

The Rothschild Brooch was only one of many priceless brooches during Queen Camilla’s 2025 Royal Ascot appearances, as the royal wore $2.7 million worth of jewelry during the first three days of the annual event alone. Perhaps her most eye-catching addition was the Victorian era diamond star brooch she wore on Thursday—a sparkling addition that she also wore at last year’s Royal Ascot. The piece, which is from Queen Elizabeth’s private jewelry collection, is valued at over $161,000, according to Steven Stone.
