Let Freedom Howl! at CSU Pueblo

2200 Bonforte Blvd. Hasan Amphitheater and West Lawns | 2-9:30 p.m. | The red, white, and blue Fourth of July celebration features live music, food trucks, and a splash-worthy water fight. Enjoy a special performance by the Pueblo Symphony at 7:30 p.m., then look up for a sensory-friendly drone show at 9 p.m. Parking is available in the lots on the east side of campus, and Arch’s Peditaxi will be running to help with on-campus transportation. The event is free and open to the public.

Fourth of July Celebration at Civic Center Park in Pueblo West

61 E. Civic Center Plaza | 4–9 p.m. | Join the Pueblo West Metro District for the Jack Fowler Memorial community celebration featuring a "Water in the Park" water fight, local food trucks, games for all ages, a Bubble Tower, and a fireworks show at dusk. Don't forget to bring lawn chairs.

Rollin’ on the Riverwalk at Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo

101 S. Union Ave. | 4-10 p.m. | The free family-friendly event will feature more than 60 food and retail vendors, live music including local favorite The Runners and headliner Thumpin, which is known as "Colorado’s Favorite Dance Band," plus boat rides and a fireworks display. Come for fun, music, and fireworks along the scenic Riverwalk.

"Anniversary Gala" at Steel City Art Works

330 S. Union Ave., the McLaughlin Building | 5-8 p.m. | Celebrate the gallery's 18th anniversary, six months in the new location and the Fourth of July by visiting with the artists and enjoying complimentary refreshments. A total of 36 local artists have work on display at the gallery, plus there is a "Summertime in the Whimsical Hollow" display in the back room. The gallery is open free to the public, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Reservation deadline for July 10 Pueblo County Historical Society dinner

Pueblo Union Depot, 203 W. B St. | Doors open at 5 p.m. July 10, dinner at 6 p.m., program at 7 p.m. | Join the Pueblo County Historical Society for "The Life & Times of Charles Autobees," as told by his descendant George Autobee. Autobees was a trapper, trader, traveling salesman, scout rancher and more. He lived near the confluence of the Huerfano and Arkansas rivers from 1853 until his death in 1882 at age 70. Cost is $37. Pueblo Energy Park talk at Rawlings Library

100 E. Abriendo Ave., Bret Kelly A room | 7 p.m. | Join Jamie Valdez, founder and director of Roots to Resilience, an environmental justice advocacy organization for Pueblo and southern Colorado, who will speak about the Pueblo Energy Park proposal for the Pueblo Humanists meeting. The park represents a comprehensive strategy for replacing a retiring coal plant with a sustainable, economically beneficial, and reliable energy solution. Valdez will explain the project and answer questions. There is no admission fee, but donations are appreciated. The public is invited, and the venue is handicap accessible. The event will feature modern soul singer and recording artist Miriah Avila and Latin soul singer Pepe Marquez, both of California. Also on stage will be Joey Cota, Johnny David and the Nandos. Country Music Concert at Copper River in Pueblo West

Kyle Smith Concert at Brues Alehouse

120 E. Riverwalk | 7-10:30 p.m. | Join Kyle Smith and special guest Ghost.Wav for a reggae concert. Smith, from Ventura, California, offers a blend of Cali-Reggae influenced by ska, hip-hop and punk rock. His self-titled debut EP gives a glimpse of the life he endured with songs like “Dope Fiend,” and “Jaded,” all the while keeping an uplifting spirit and tempo. She has been integral to the creation of several projects with History Colorado, including Borderlands of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Trinidad and Fort Garland. It’s ideal to book for classrooms, libraries, and youth events. Explore engaging educational trunks, meet living history figures like Zebulon and Clarissa Pike and more. This is an opportunity for teachers and educators to preview what’s available for their classrooms.
