Get ready to throw some glitter and make it rain, Nashville — pop powerhouse Kesha is back in town.

The "Tik Tok" and "Die Young" singer, who grew up in Nashville, is headed to Ascend Amphitheater on July 15 for a stop on her "T*ts Out Tour" alongside Scissor Sisters and Slayyyter.

The tour, one of Kesha's biggest American tour runs to date, follows on the heels of her sixth album "." (period), which released on July 4 as Kesha's first independent project under her own label, Kesha Records.

Ahead of Kesha's homecoming show, we're here to walk you through her Nashville connections.

Pebe Sebert, Kesha's mother, is a singer-songwriter who has written songs recorded by Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Johnny Cash, Pitbull and more. Sebert has also co-written music with her daughter, who was born Kesha Rose Sebert in 1987.

Pebe Sebert moved her family from California to Nashville after securing a new publishing deal when Kesha was only four years old.

Kesha attended Franklin High School and Brentwood High School and dropped out at 17 years old to pursue music.

She skyrocketed to fame after the release of her 2010 hit "Tik Tok."

4. Growing up in Nashville, Kesha was inspired by country music greats.

Kesha has expressed her appreciation of country music over the years, nodding to some of the iconic artists her mother has written music for.

In a 2017 interview with NPR, Kesha said one of the tracks on her album "Rainbow" was a return to her origins.

"I was listening to a lot of Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, and other outlaw country. I wanted to get back to my country roots," Kesha said, discussing the track "Hunt You Down."

"It's kind of my feminist, tongue-in-cheek response to all the outlaw cowboy songs from the male perspective about cheating women.

Kesha owned a home in Nashville from 2010 to 2016, a serene and secluded woodsy hideaway in Forest Acres, near Lake Radnor.

Her time at the Nashville oasis wasn't all zen, though.

"Sometimes I have parties at my house in Nashville and it's clothing-optional, and we just body-paint each other and run around, and I have a giant bed," Kesha said in a 2012 interview with Glamour. "I'm very much in touch with that side of myself."

Kesha has taken to stages all over Nashville.

There was the time in 2015 when Kesha and her temporary band, Yeast Infection, performed a hush-hush show at the Springwater Lounge.

In 2018, Kesha hit the stage at Bridgestone Arena beside Macklemore for their "The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore Tour."

Kesha accused Dr. Luke of sexual assault and battery, among other accusations, and Dr. Luke filed countersuits for defamation. The case reached a settlement in June 2023.

"Now, I'm at a place in my career where I feel complete, happy and making art that has transformed my PTSD and trauma into something honest and beautiful worth sharing at the Mother Church, The Ryman, the soul of Nashville," Kesha told The Tennessean in 2023.

In 2023, Kesha released her record "Gag Order," which has been renamed "Eat The Acid" on some streaming platforms.

2025 marks the first independent release under Kesha's own record label, her new album "." (period).

“Yippee-Ki-Yay.," a twangy, high-energy, country-infused pop hit, sees Kesha and T-Pain lighting a bonfire at a trailer park and singing "yippee-ki-yay, yippee-ki-ya-ya."
