Dozens of Hoosier veterans move into new homes

Some of the veterans were able to move back into an Indianapolis building that was renovated after a fire last year.

Veterans got placed across the city, including 23 beds in Helping Veterans and Family's (HVAF) Manchester Apartments.

It's all part of their surge move-in event. The group's COO says their goal is to help as many veterans with same day access to housing as possible.

"The fact that we have any veterans who are who are unsheltered, you know, is a tragedy for the community, so to be able to come in and and be part of that solution is, you know, we're going to take advantage of that every time," said Bryant Dysert.

The Manchester Apartments South Tower reconstruction is on track for completion next year.
