Predicting the top assist makers in the 2025/26 Premier League
On the horizon

With the Premier League season right around the corner, fans cannot wait to see the most creative players showcase their talent on the biggest stage.
The players

Here are the players we think will be in the running for the Playmaker of the Year award come the end of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Morgan Gibbs-White (9 assists)

With the confidence of his new bumper contract and Anthony Elanga leaving for Newcastle, Morgan Gibbs-White will be expected to pick up the slack and deliver some memorable performances for Forest this season. He recorded eight assists last term.
Morgan Rodgers (10 assists)

Morgan Rodgers is one of the best dribblers in the Premier League, and can create space and find a deadly pass in the final third. With ten assists last season, we see no reason why he can't match that tally again.
Anthony Elanga (10 assists)

With or without Alexander Isak at Newcastle United, Anthony Elanga has proved he can be a playmaking maestro without an elite forward at the top of the pitch. He provided 11 assists for Nottingham Forest last season, per StatMuse, and he should be able to reach double figures again with the quality at Newcastle.
Tijjani Reijnders (11 assists)

Per ESPN, new Manchester City signing Tijjani Reijnders has expressed he's not at the club to replace Kevin De Bruyne, but with ten assists in Serie A last season, and now playing with Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush, Reijnders has the potential to be their next creative genius.
Eberechi Eze (12 assists)

Eberechi Eze continues to improve each season for Crystal Palace, with his unique dribbling and creative ability setting him apart from many. Just on his sheer ability alone, we think Eze will muster 12 assists in the Premier League.
Cole Palmer (13 assists)

With eight assists last campaign and 11 the season before, Cole Palmer is Chelsea's leading creative force. With the additions of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, we can see Palmer upping his production to 13 assists for the upcoming season.
Mohamed Salah (13 assists)

At 33, we expect Mo Salah to have one more good season for Liverpool. The loss of Luis Díaz means the burden will still be on Salah to perform, but with the additions of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, Salah will still produce a solid total of assists.
Bruno Fernandes (15 assists)

Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United's leading talisman for five years and has still produced eight or more Premier League assists in the past three seasons despite playing for a poor United team. With Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo joining, that tally should rise significantly.
Bukayo Saka (17 assists)

Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal's leading creative force for several years, and a new number nine is all that was needed, we believe, to take the winger to the next level. Viktor Gyokeres scored 39 goals last season, and Saka will be licking his lips at the prospects of this season.
