Slice shop named best pizza in Arizona. Here's 3 restaurants we think they missed
Food Network recently released a list of the best pizza slices in all 50 states. They named Otto Pizza & Pastry in Tempe as the best in Arizona for its "impeccable pastas and pizzas" that are "always piping-hot and glistening with just the right amount of grease."

Otto has been serving the Tempe community since the '90s. Food Network's Sara Ventiera praised owner Otto Hobeheidar for "(knowing) his way around a New York-style slice."

Venezia's New York Style Pizzeria
Venezia's first opened in Tempe in 1998, serving New York-style pizzas by the pie or by the slice (they also have an award-winning gluten-free menu). Now, there are locations all over the Valley. It was a contender in the 2025 pizza poll.
Via Della Slice Shop
As the name suggests, Via Della Slice Shop is a popular spot to grab pizza by the slice in downtown Phoenix. But they also offer 20-inch round pies and "grandma-style" deep dish. It made our 2024 essential downtown restaurants list.
Ziggy's Magic Pizza Shop
Ziggy's Magic Pizza offers New York-style pizza by the slice or 18-inch pie. Most of the pizzas have music-inspired names, appropriate for the restaurant's location right next to The Van Buren concert venue. The pro move is to take your slice through the walk-in cooler to the pinball bar.
