Ruben Amorim had been sweating on the fitness of Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee ahead of a season defining game against Tottenham.

All three were rated as doubtful as recently as last weekend, but the trio took a full part in Tuesday morning’s training session.

Dalot has been a key part of United’s starting XI since Amorim’s appointment and is one of the few players suited to the 3-4-3 system.

The Portugal international has been absent since last month’s defeat against Wolves with a calf strain but now appears set to feature in Bilbao.

Yoro, meanwhile, injured himself in an off the ball incident against West Ham a fortnight ago and Amorim will hope he has made a full recovery, especially considering their remain huge doubts over Matthijs de Ligt’s participation.

Zirkzee’s potential return would, arguably, provide Amorim with the biggest boost of all considering his side’s lack of goal threat in recent weeks.

The summer signing from Bologna struggled to adapt to the rigours of English football during the first few months of his United career.

Prior to his hamstring injury, however, he displayed significant signs of improvement to the extent whereby he had usurped Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order.
