PSG and Inter Milan's combined starting line-up ahead of the Champions League final

All eyes on Munich

Inter Milan and PSG booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final and will face each other in Munich. To prepare ourselves, we have created the strongest combined starting 11 using a 4-3-3 formation.

(GK) Gianluigi Donnarumma

Both PSG's Donnarumma and Inter's Yann Sommer are world-class goalkeepers, but despite his mistakes, Donnarumma is a brick wall when he's on form. He proved it with crucial saves in the Aston Villa and Arsenal games, and there is no other goalkeeper you would want for penalties.

A consistent presence in the PSG backline for over ten years, Marquinhos has won ten Ligue 1 titles and has already lost one Champions League final in 2020. His ability on the ball and incredible experience got him into this team.

The first Inter Milan player included in this team is Alessandro Bastoni. The defender broke into the team in 2019, and his left foot makes him one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe. He is tall and physical and has been at the heart of Inter's defensive stability.

You could argue that Vitinha has been PSG's most important player this season. The Portuguese sensation is the glue guy for the French team, with everything coming through him. He dictates the game and has the ball control and passing ability to split defences apart.

(CM) Fabian Ruiz

Spaniard Fabian Ruiz is a significant and dominant central midfielder who can score a goal at crucial times and win all his defensive duels. He has contributed nine goals in Ligue 1 this season and scored an exceptional goal against Arsenal in the semi-finals.

(CM) Nicolo Barella

It would be easy to put the whole PSG midfield in here, but Nicolo Barella is one of the most well-rounded midfielders in the world, proving crucial for Inter Milan's success over the years. The time two-time Serie A winner can break up play, retain possession, and score goals.

(LW) Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

On the other wing, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the most electric players in the world. His insane speed and dribbling make him a nightmare for defenders, with Jurien Timber and Matty Cash having incredible trouble in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. He has contributed four goals in eight Champions League games.

(ST) Lautaro Martinez

Lautaro Martinez is an Inter Milan legend. He has scored nine goals in 13 Champions League games this season and 12 in 31 Serie A matches. However, his goals are only a small part of his whole package. He works tirelessly, has incredible hold-up play, and is a true leader on the pitch.

(Manager) Luis Enrique

Both Simone Inzaghi and Luis Enrique are world-class managers, but Enrique's pedigree and the way he's turned the PSG team around make him the manager of this team. He led Barcelona to the European treble in 2015 and has transformed PSG from a team of individuals to a genuinely competitive and balanced squad.

(Super sub) Marcus Thuram

Marcus Thuram would be perfect as a super sub on this team. Thuram is a fantastic hold-up striker who can bring players into play and score crucial goals, like his skilled finish against Barcelona in the semi-final first leg. He has scored 14 goals in 32 Serie A games and four in 13 in the Champions League.

(Super sub) Joao Neves

PSG midfielder Joao Neves is elite offensively and defensively and could come off the bench to provide whatever is needed during a game. He's been exceptional for PSG this season, and at 20, he will only get better.
