Major brewery chain closes Cincinnati location: 'We’re incredibly grateful'

"It’s been an absolute honor to serve this city. Over the years, we’ve shared beers, stories, laughter, and unforgettable moments, and we’re incredibly grateful for every one of them," the chain stated in the post, adding that its bottled and canned beers will still be available at retailers, bars and restaurants across the region.

A look toward the main bar area at BrewDog Cincinnati.

BrewDog, founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, produces bottled and canned beers in a variety of styles, such as ales, stouts, India pale ales (IPA) and lagers, some of which are also available in keg containers.

The bottled beers are distributed to British supermarkets and exported worldwide. Kegs are available in the United Kingdom, Ireland and various other countries around the world.

The brewery's Cincinnati location at 316 Reading Road in Pendleton opened in 2019. The 8,500-square-foot taproom featured a 25-tap bar with half BrewDog brews and half Cincinnati craft beers, a second mezzanine bar and an outdoor space.

The Enquirer reached out to BrewDog Cincinnati to confirm its last day of operation, but its Instagram bio already says the location is "permanently closed."
