I refuse to accept that 1995 was 30 years ago. That's just factually incorrect. I remember 1995 like it was… well… definitely not three whole decades ago.

1995 was peak 90s. We were all still riding the Jim Carrey wave after he absolutely dominated the previous year with The Mask, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and Dumb and Dumber. Microsoft changed home computers forever with the launch of Windows 95, an operating system so hyped it had its own Rolling Stones soundtrack (Start Me Up, indeed). The whole world was dancing the Macarena (and doing it un-ironically), Brad Pitt was officially the sexiest man alive (arguably, still true), and Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise was the song of the year.

Everything in 1995 felt new and cool—from CGI dinosaurs in Jurassic Park to Tamagotchis and Nickelodeon slime. Now, somehow, it's considered retro?? That can't be right.
