New ‘Extreme Adventure Park’ to open in Kansas City’s Northland next year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Extreme family fun is heading to the Northland in the form of a new attraction.
NRG Entertainment announced it will open a new NRG Adventure Park early next year. It will be the first in the metro and located in Metro North Crossing. The exact location will be the former Macy’s location.
Developers said the adventure park will feature:
- Trampolines
- Free climb
- Mega ball pit
- Toddler zone
- Rainbow net
- Freedom gaming
- Soft play
- Ziplines
- Ninja course
- Foam pit
- Virtual reality valo jump

The first Adventure Park will open in the coming weeks in New Jersey. The Kansas City location is the first for the metro and is one of more than two dozen parks to open by the end of 2026.
NRG said it plans to eventually open more than 100 parks across the country.
