Art and craft fairs have a long tradition in the Milwaukee area. The Firefly Art Fair and the Morning Glory Art Fair are two premiere events held in early August with a lengthy history of featuring fine art and craft artists. Use this list to find weekend fairs hosting juried artists (those selected by the event organizers) and other fairs that may have a mix of non-juried local and regional artists. Firefly Art Fair

The Wauwatosa Historical Society will host fine art by local and national artists from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 3 on the grounds of the Kneeland-Walker House at 7406 Hillcrest Drive, Wauwatosa. The 39th Firefly Art Fair will feature both new and returning artists showing paintings, pottery, ceramics, glass, basketry, jewelry, fiber art, mosaics, photography, pen and ink drawings, metal work and wood. The weekend includes baked goods and pie, a food truck and beverages, live music, a silent auction and a floral arranging workshop. The Firefly in Bloom workshop, presented by Aromatic Acres, includes instruction on floral arrangement, refreshments, and entrance to the fair. The ticket price is $60. An indoor exhibit in the rooms throughout the first floor of Kneeland-Walker House will present “Wauwatosa Goes to War.” The displays feature photographs, uniforms, and memorabilia from the Revolutionary War, War of the Rebellion (Civil War), War of 1812, World Wars I and II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and recent military action. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children age 12 and younger. Tickets may be purchased in advance. Morning Glory Art Fair
This art fair is celebrating 50 years of bringing juried art to Milwaukee. It is the first of two annual Wisconsin Craft events supporting independent artists and will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 on the Plaza at Fiserv Forum, 1111 Phillips Ave. Admission is free. The fair will include the 2024 best of show award-winner, Mark Winter, and award of merit winners Kate Marotz and Andrew Krueger. They join more than 100 other artists for the two-day event. Starving Artist Fair
This juried art show is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 3 at the DeKoven Center, Wisconsin Ave. and 21st St., Racine. The Racine Art Guild event is a showcase for artists from Racine county and throughout the Midwest, representing nearly every medium of original art. racineartguild.com/safracine
Art in the Park
The fine art and craft fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 10 in Flat Iron Park, 201 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva. Watertown Riverfest Craft Fair
The craft fair is held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 on Rotary Island in Watertown as part of a larger community festival. The event displays works by artists from throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Beverage and food vendors also will be available. Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts
The juried fine art exhibition is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 16 and 17 in Fowler Park, 438 N. Oakwood Ave., Oconomowoc. For over 50 years, the festival has featured artists from around the country and offered scholarships to young artists and musicians majoring in the fine arts. Donna Lexa Memorial Art Fair
The fair is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 in Wales Community Park, 500 S. Brandybrook Road, Wales. The juried event exhibits fine arts and crafts, including paintings, photography, pottery, glass, wood, jewelry, metal, mixed media, drawings and fiber art. Wade House Arts and Crafts Fair
The Wisconsin Historical Society hosts the fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Wade House historic site in Greenbush. The day includes a fair featuring handmade works, with craft demonstrations held throughout the grounds. Potters, quilters, metal workers, woodworkers and herbalists are just some of the trades represented. Admission is $6, and tickets can be purchased in advance online. Third Ward Art Festival
The street festival is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31 on Broadway from St. Paul Avenue to East Menomonee Street. View the work of more than 120 juried artists from around the country working in a variety of media, including ceramics, fiber, glass jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. Walk in the Woods Art Fair
Fine art and nature are on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 along the wooded trails and gardens of Hawthorn Hollow, 880 Green Bay Road, Kenosha. Over 70 artists will show a variety of fine art, ranging from glass to garden art, wood sculpting to jewelry, and paintings to photography. Harvest of Art & Crafts
The juried art fair features local artisans from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7 on the grounds of Trimborn Farm in Greendale. With limited parking on-site, park at Southridge Mall and take the free shuttle to the farm. Fair admission is $8, with a $3 discount for shuttle riders. Cash only. Holy Hill Arts and Crafts Fair
Hundreds of artists and craftsmen will present their work from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 on the grounds of the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill, 1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus.
