Nega maluca cake is a typical Brazilian chocolate cake, super easy to make and absolutely delicious! With its moist texture, intense chocolate taste and naturally lactose-free, this cake is a real treat for chocolate lovers. Made with simple ingredients you probably have in your cupboards, this cake is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a birthday, anniversary or just a gourmet dessert! And for even more fun, we've added a "brigadeiro" icing, a typical Brazilian recipe :-)
Ingredients
Cake:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar (180 grams)
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder (100 grams)
- 1/2 cup neutral oil (12 cl)
- 1 cup warm water (24 cl)
- 2 cups cake flour (240 grams)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
"Brigadeiro" glaze :
- 1/4 cup milk (6 cl)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup condensed milk (200 grams)
- 1/2 tablespoon butter (7 grams)

Preparation

For the cake: Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar together.

Once the mixture is smooth, add the cocoa powder, oil and hot water. Mix again.

Add flour and baking powder.

Pour the batter into the buttered mould.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F/180°C for 30 to 40 minutes (insert a knife blade or toothpick to check doneness).

Brigadeiro glaze: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and cocoa.

Add the condensed milk and butter.

Stir constantly until slightly thickened, between 10 and 15 minutes.
