Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently treated their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to “two days of pure joy” at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. In a sweet video montage shared on Markle’s Instagram, the family could be seen enjoying iconic rides, meeting famous characters, and even ringing in Lilibet’s fourth birthday with a Little Mermaid cake. But the trip has even deeper significance. In fact, it’s something of a full circle moment for Harry, who once visited Walt Disney World with his mother, the late Princess Diana, and his brother, Prince William.
Back in August 1993, Diana took the then 8-year-old Harry and 11-year-old William to Walt Disney World in Florida on a solo trip—she and Prince Charles’, the boys’ father, had separated only months before.
During their trip, they experienced some of the iconic rides. Diana was reportedly especially fond of Splash Mountain. Meanwhile, William took a liking to the Space Mountain ride. Years later, he recalled that he rode it “12 or 14 times”—so many times, his security guard got sick!

Thirty-one years later, Harry recreated some of those special moments with his own children. In Markle’s recent video, the family can be seen on the Splash Mountain ride, while Harry and Meghan were pictured on the Space Mountain ride.

During Harry’s recent trip, Markle wore a simple top and jeans with the iconic Minnie Mouse ears over a black cap, while Harry also opted for a casual ensemble and a cap. Markle kept Archie and Lilibet’s faces hidden in the video, but their hair is looking just as red as ever.
