Halle Berry Sports Sparkly Fringe for Cannes Film Festival Arrival
The Oscar-winning actress is on this year's jury.

- Halle Berry arrived in Cannes ahead of the city's annual film festival.
- The actress will serve on this year's jury alongside Jeremy Strong.
- Cannes recently updated its dress code.
Halle Berry put a glamorous spin on a boho staple—fringe—for her arrival at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday. The actress touched down in a full look from Alexandre Vauthier's spring 2025 couture collection, which consisted of a fringe top with crystallized accents and pleated trousers.
Berry accessorized with crimson pumps and oversized cat-eye frames, wearing her highlighted tresses in a wavy bob.

Cannes's dress code is getting an update this year: per the festival's new charter, organizers will no longer allow nudity or gargantuan gowns on the red carpet.
"For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival. Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted,” the charter reads. "The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.”

In previous years, stars including Bella Hadid and Ashley Graham have favored barely-there fabrics and massive trains at the weeklong festival, which officially starts tomorrow. Berry is on Cannes's esteemed jury this year alongside Jeremy Strong and Juliette Binoche.
Although she surely won't be going sheer at Cannes, Berry's Met Gala look featured see-through striping. Last week, she attended the 2025 affair in a bespoke LaQuan Smith gown and cropped blazer, embodying the evening's "Tailored For You" theme.

Berry's plunging frock was embroidered with beads and featured a floor-length train. She completed her look with a veiled Jennifer Behr fascinator and diamond-encrusted Cartier jewelry.
For her previous Met Gala appearance in 2017, Berry modeled a sheer Atelier Versace jumpsuit trimmed with beads. The black and gold design also included a scalloped floor-length skirt. 2017 marked the first time the Met Gala honored a living designer with the theme "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between." Kawakubo's sculptural, avant-garde approach inspired many of the evening's memorable ensembles, including Rihanna's and Katy Perry's.
