11-mile Garden State Parkway delay in Ocean County
As of 2:30 p.m., there is an 11-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway southbound from north of Exit 89C in Lakewood to south of Exit 530 in Beachwood. One left lane is blocked after a vehicle overturned just south of Exit 80 in Beachwood.

As of 1:58 p.m., there's an overturned vehicle on the Garden State Parkway south, just past Exit 80 in Beachwood, according to traffic site nj511.org.
Garden State Parkway has 3½-mile delay
As of 1:52 p.m., there is a 3½-mile delay on the southbound Garden State Parkway — in both the express and local lanes — from south of Exit 109 in Middletown to Exit 105 in Tinton Falls. There is also a 2-mile delay from Exit 117 in Hazlet to north of Exit 116, the PNC Bank Arts Center exit, in Holmdel.
13-mile delay on Garden State Parkway
As of 12:30 p.m., there is a 13-mile delay on the southbound Garden State Parkway express lanes, from north of Exit 117 in Aberdeen to north of Exit 105 in Tinton Falls.
Route 36 backed up
As of 12:14 p.m., there are traffic delays on Route 36 northbound in Sea Bright, from Center Street to Rumson Road (Route 520), according to nj511.org.
7-mile delay on Garden State Parkway in Ocean County
As of 12:11 p.m., there is a 7-mile delay on the Parkway South, from Exit 90 at Chambersbridge Road in Brick to just north of the Toms River Toll Plaza in Toms River.
10-mile delay on Garden State Parkway
As of 12:05 p.m., there is a 10-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway northbound, from north of Exit 81 at Lakehurst Road in Toms River to north of Exit 90 at Chambersbridge Road in Brick.
All lanes reopen on Garden State Parkway in Toms River
As of 11:55 a.m., all lanes have reopened on the southbound Garden State Parkway near milepost 88, following the vehicle fire.
2-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway
There is a 2-mile delay on the Parkway southbound from just south of Exit 89A (Route 70 east) in Lakewood to north of the Toms River toll plaza in Toms River, as of 11:20 a.m., due to the vehicle fire.
A vehicle fire has been reported on the Parkway southbound near milepost 88, according to nj511.org. The fire is located just north of the Toms River Toll Plaza and is blocking the right lane, as of 10:43 a.m., and is causing delays on the highway.
There is a 2-mile delay on the Parkway southbound express lanes, from south of Exit 120 in Old Bridge to Exit 117 in Aberdeen, as of 9:50 a.m.
Traffic is moving well on the Parkway as of 8:50 a.m. Saturday. It will take you just 7 minutes in the local lanes to get from the Raritan Toll Plaza to Exit 117, heading to Routes 35 and 36 and Sandy Hook.
It's 26 minutes from the toll plaza to Exit 98 in Belmar using both express and local lanes, and just about an hour to Exit 63 for Long Beach Island.
Heavy traffic on Route 35 in Ocean County
There is heavy traffic on Route 35 south from Higgins Avenue in Brielle to Broadway in Point Pleasant Beach, according to nj511.org.
There are delays from Route 35 north from North of Curtis Point Drive to north of Route 528/Herbert Street in Mantoloking, as of 11:03 a.m.
At 9:10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, there is heavy traffic southbound on Route 35 on the barrier island, from south of 6th Avenue in Brick to south of Barnegat Avenue in Toms River.
There are also delays on Route 35 northbound, north of 6th Avenue in Brick.
Monmouth County
The closure of Route 71 over the Shark River continued to redirect traffic through portions of Monmouth County. The bridge is closed for emergency repairs and is expected to stay closed until Sept. 30. Traffic is being diverted to the Route 35 bridge over the Shark River.
There are also delays on Route 35 northbound, north of 6th Avenue in Brick.
