Multiple Western North Carolina locations have been voted best in the nation for road trip options, according to this year's USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice roundup.

WNC's wins in the category for 2025 included three separate lodging options, plus an iconic road trip route, in the second year in a row the region has made the lists of reader's choices. Methodology provides locations chosen by an expert panel to voters in the community, who choose their favorite options to add to the lists.
