As the latest round of heavy rains and thunderstorms makes its way across Central Pennsylvania, emergency dispatch has received numerous reports of flooding and trapped vehicles in and around Lancaster County Monday afternoon.

5:12 p.m.: Multiple roads in Columbia borough shut down, 4:56 p.m.: More flooding reported in Dover, York County, 4:31 p.m.: Route 30 closed by flooding in Lancaster County, 4:19 p.m.: Trees down, flooding near Columbia, 4:10 p.m.: Flooding on Route 283 in western Lancaster County, 3:54 p.m.: Flooding on Route 30 East in West Hempfield Twp., 3:49 p.m.: Flooding on Main St. in Mount Joy

Most of the calls appear to be coming from western Lancaster County, in and around Mount Joy.

So far, FOX43 has been able to confirm the following reports:

6 p.m.: Traffic moving at Route 30 and Prospect Road Eastbound

After floodwaters covered Route 30 near the Prospect Road Exit, 511PA traffic cameras show traffic is moving once again. 

5:12 p.m.: Multiple roads in Columbia borough shut down

Columbia Police urged residents to stay indoors as several roadways in the Lancaster County borough have been shut down by flooding.

According to police, the following roadways are closed in the borough:

  • Front Street (Route 441) at Mill Street and at Blue Lane
  • 11th Street and Ridge Avenue
  • 15th Street and Lancaster Avenue
  • 900 block of Lancaster Avenue

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for this area until 8:30 p.m., police said. 

"This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation," the police department said. "Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order."

4:56 p.m.: More flooding reported in Dover, York County

The York County borough of Dover is experiencing additional flooding Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The flooding is reported at East Canal Street, according to local police.

4:31 p.m.: Route 30 closed by flooding in Lancaster County

According to 511pa, all lanes of Route 30 are closed in both directions between the Mountville Exit (Stony Battery Road) and the Columbia/Marietta Exit (Route 441) due to flooding on the roadway.

4:19 p.m.: Trees down, flooding near Columbia

A tree was seen blocking the roadway on the 800 block of Chickies Hill Road Monday afternoon near the borough of Columbia. Flooding was also visible on the side of the roadway.

4:10 p.m.: Flooding on Route 283 in western Lancaster County

According to 511pa, there is flooding on Route 283 East between the Rheems/Elizabethtown (Route 230) and Manheim/Mount Joy (Route 772) exits. 

At 4:53 p.m., the National Weather Service reported "large portions" of Route 283 are closed down between Landisville and Mount Joy due to flooding.

3:54 p.m.: Flooding on Route 30 East in West Hempfield Twp.

According to 511pa, Route 30 East is flooded near the Prospect Road exit in West Hempfield Township.

3:49 p.m.: Flooding on Main St. in Mount Joy

Mount Joy resident Bethany Roscoe shared footage of vehicles struggling to get through water on Main Street in the Lancaster County borough.
