Starbucks’ Fall Menu Brings Back 5 Classics — Plus Something You Haven’t Tried Before
Starbucks is leaning on nostalgia while sneaking in something totally new for the season.

Key Points
- Starbucks kicks off fall with the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, alongside new drinks like the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and Pecan Cold Foam.
- Seasonal favorites including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin also return to the menu.
- The chain is testing a new Coco Menu, featuring two coconut water–based drinks: a cold brew coffee and matcha, at hundreds of locations across the U.S.
Starbucks is gearing up for its buzziest time of year — meaning, Pumpkin Spice Latte season is now upon us.
A new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado will arrive at Starbucks cafés tomorrow, marking the start of the autumn drink season at the country’s biggest coffee chain. It’s joined by the Pumpkin Spice Latte, of course, along with a slew of other pumpkin-themed treats to spice up your workweek.
While this year’s fall menu is noticeably slimmer than previous years, we can still expect a few new items. Look for the return of the Internet-loved Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, along with the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte. Seasonal treats like the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Racoon Cake Pop will also be available starting tomorrow.
Notably absent from this initial lineup are the Apple Crisp Macchiato and other pie-like drinks from years past — but hey, maybe that’s an opportunity to try something new.
This fall’s menu highlights pecans and pumpkins
The Seattle-based chain introduced the classic Cortado last winter, and now it’s giving this equal-parts espresso drink a fall makeover. The Pecan Oatmilk Cortado, served hot, is the star of this autumn’s menu.
Here’s where the magic happens: Starbucks’ lead beverage developer says the “saltiness and browned butter notes combined with the toasted pecan flavors are the perfect complement,” all wrapped up in the Cortado’s bold espresso base. Craving something sweeter? The Pecan Cold Foam, layered over iced or cold-brewed coffee, might be more your speed.
That all arrives alongside the Italian Sausage Egg Bites (first teased in the announcement earlier this summer). This breakfast snack features crumbled sausage, sundried tomato pesto, basil, eggs, and Monterey Jack cheese in a bite-sized package.

Planning to visit a Reserve Roastery or store this fall? Beginning tomorrow, you can snag a Reserve-exclusive autumnal coffee or cocktail — might we recommend the new Tiramisu Latte? The Pumpkin Spice Whiskey Barrel-Aged Manhattan is also on the table, as well as the returning Reserve version of the PSL, and finally, a Pumpkin Spice Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew. Yum.
Even more updates are brewing online. After an eight-year hiatus from social media, Starbucks HQ logged back into @TheRealPSL's Instagram account — and this once-viral archive of pumpkin-spice love is becoming active again. They’ve already kicked off by teasing the fall menu with a cameo from Bravo’s Andy Cohen, reading captions in the voice of the inanimate seasonal latte.
After all, social media had a considerable hand in propelling the PSL to national fame in the mid-2010s. Dedicated Facebook groups, like the Leaf Rakers Society, have rallied around the drink’s autumnal return for years. Turns out, Starbucks is now turning to its consumer base for upcoming product launches.

Testing the Coco Menu
One more announcement from Starbucks HQ this week: It’s testing a coconut water-based drink at select locations across the United States. The Coco Cold Brew and Coco Matcha blend “refreshing coconut water” with caffeine in a familiar format.
Starbucks says it’s “accelerating health and wellness innovation” with the launch of Coco Cold Brew and other products, like the expected protein cold foam. The chain isn’t the first to imagine coffee with a coconut water base, though: New York City’s Rhythm Zero, for one, went viral earlier this year for its Coco Americana.
You can find the two drinks at 400 locations nationwide — including select spots in New York City and Los Angeles, plus a handful of cafés in cities like Cedar Rapids, St. Louis, and Milwaukee. These coconut water-based drinks began rolling out last week, according to the company.
Whether you’re hanging onto the last bit of summer by way of the Coco Matcha or looking forward to curling up with the first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season, this rollout has a little bit of everything.
