Man Utd make Alejandro Garnacho decision as squad is confirmed for post-season friendlies

The Red Devils take on ASEAN All-Stars in Malaysia on May 28, before travelling to China to face Hong Kong just two days later.
Given United’s wretched campaign only ended on Sunday, the mini tour of Asia has been widely criticised, with the trip perceived to be nothing more than a money-making venture by many.
No doubt tired and weary after beating Aston Villa at Old Trafford, Amorim’s players were pictured immediately boarding a plane to Malaysia later that evening.
There had been some debate as to whether Garnacho would travel after the winger publicly questioned Amorim in the wake of the club’s crushing Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Just hours before United’s defeat of Villa, Garnacho’s girlfriend, Eva Garcia, appeared to confirm that the Argentina international had played for the Red Devils for the last time.
Amorim dodged questions over Garnacho’s future after deciding to leave the attacker out of the 2-0 victory over Villa. But the forward has travelled to Asia along with Andre Onana, who was also omitted against Unai Emery’s side.

Asked if Garnacho had played his final match for United, Amorim told Sky Sports: ‘No, Garnacho is a Manchester United player that is not in the squad today, but he continues to be a Manchester United player.’
Pressed on whether Garnacho would make the trip to Asia, he added: ‘Yes, everyone is going.
‘We have to go to meet our fans and give something to our fans on the other side of the world.’
Bruno Fernandes will continue wearing the captain’s armband in Asia and there is plenty of experience across Amorim’s squad, with the vast majority of the first-team involved.
However, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui will play no part due to injury.
Diogo Dalot has travelled despite being taken off at half-time in United’s clash with Villa.
Academy products Dan Armer, Godwill Kukonki, Reece Munro, Tyler Fletcher, Jack Moorhouse, Jim Thwaites and Shea Lacey will no doubt be desperate to get minutes under their belts over the coming days.

Veteran defender Jonny Evans, who leaves United this summer, has also been included and will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the club’s support in the Far East.
Addressing United fans after the side’s Premier League finale at the Theatre of Dreams, Amorim said: ‘First of all, I want to apologise for this season. I know you are really disappointed with me and the team.
‘Secondly, I want to say thank you. We are very grateful for your support this season and I know it was really hard to support us in many games.

‘But now we have to make a choice. Do we stick in the past? Because this season is in the past. It’s over. We could fight each other or we stick together and move forward.
‘Six months ago, after my first three games in charge, we had two victories and one draw and I told you a storm is coming. But today, after this disastrous season, I want to tell you the good days are coming.
‘If there is one club in the world that have proved in the past that they can overcome any situation and any disaster, it’s our club. It’s Manchester United Football Club.
‘Now I want to say sorry also to my players. Sometimes I was not fair but I’ve tried always to be honest with you guys.
‘Thank you very much and see you next season.’
