Isak considering 'all options'

Alexander Isak’s agent says the player is considering his options as he draws transfer interest from Al Hilal and Liverpool.

The Swede was left out of Newcastle’s squad for a friendly loss to Celtic this weekend, with Eddie Howe confirming he made the decision due to the transfer speculation surrounding him.

Saudi outlet Al-Riyadiyah ran quotes from Gonzalo Gaitan, an agent with Isak’s representatives.

Gaitan said: “We are already studying and analysing all options, and we may be close to finalising the next step for the player.”

He offered no further detail as to Isak’s plans. Newcastle insist he is not for sale, and Howe has said he is ‘desperate’ to keep ahold of him this summer.

Thiago Silva's son signs Chelsea scholarship

Thiago Silva’s son Isago was one of 16 academy prospects to sign scholarships with Chelsea earlier this week.

He joined the club’s academy when his father signed to the first team from PSG in 2020, and stayed on after Thiago returned to Brazil with Fluminense.

Silva today wrote to Isago on his social media: “Watching you chase your dreams makes me so proud. I’ll always support you.”

Timothy Weah agrees terms with Ligue 1 side

Timothy Weah, son of George, has agreed personal terms with Marseille as he looks to leave Juventus.

So reports RMC Sport, who add that a five-year deal is on the table.

The clubs remain in talks over a loan with buy obligation, with that clause thought to be worth between £10.3m and £13m.

The player, who only made one appearance at the Club World Cup, is keen on the move.

Marcus Rashford has touched down in Barcelona ahead of completing his loan move to the Blaugrana.

James Trafford agrees City return

James Trafford has agreed to return to Man City this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The keeper joined Burnley from City in 2023 but has a buy-back clause in his contract, which has inhibited Newcastle in their negotiations to secure his services.

That clause is worth £40m, but City are hoping to reduce that price. He will join up should one of Ederson or Stefan Ortega leave the club, with the former drawing interest from Galatasaray.

Wissa agrees terms with Newcastle

Brentford striker Yoane Wissa has reportedly agreed personal terms with Newcastle ahead of a potential move, according to reports in the French press.

Newcastle are in the market for striker cover this summer and have already fallen short in moves for Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, who opted to join Chelsea and Liverpool, respectively.

After Bryan Mbeumo agreed to join Man United - he completed a medical on Sunday - Brentford are not thought to be willing to let Wissa leave, but the Magpies may still try their luck.

BlueCo shenanigans continue

Chelsea are putting the BlueCo network to good use this summer.

After signing Mamadou Sarr from sister-club Strasbourg for £12m, the centre-back is now set to return to Ligue 1 on loan with the Alsace outfit, so reports Fabrizio Romano.

Strasbourg are also set to take Kendry Paez and Mike Penders on loan from Chelsea this summer, having earlier signed Mathis Amougou on a permanent deal just six months after he joined the Blues from Saint-Etienne.

Evan Ferguson to complete Roma switch

Evan Ferguson has arrived in Rome to complete his loan move from Brighton to AS Roma.

The Irishman spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, going goalless in eight league matches.

He will now move to Serie A, with his loan worth £2.5m. The deal also includes an option to buy.

Alvaro Morata finds new club

Alvaro Morata is on the move again, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Spaniard, currently of Galatasaray, is now set to join Como next season.

The decision comes as the Turkish outfit chase a deal to add Victor Osimhen on a permanent basis after he starred on loan last season.

Arsenal centre-back Gabriel has spoken on Viktor Gyokeres as the Gunners near a deal to sign the Sporting striker.

Gabriel and Gyokeres faced one another in the Champions League league phase last season, with Arsenal winning 5-1.

“For sure, when we played against him, it was a big challenge for us,” the centre-back told The Athletic about facing the 27-year-old Sweden international. “What we know now is that he’s a great player, who definitely had a great season last year.

"We all know he is a great player, but he is a Sporting player not an Arsenal player.

"Playing against him last year was a challenge. He is great and had a great season.”

Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are reportedly confident of completing a deal for Man City goalkeeper Ederson.

Bryan Mbeumo is set to complete his move to Manchester United imminently, according to Sky Sports.

The Cameroon international today completed his medical and ‘formalised’ the details of his five-year contract.

Details of Liverpool's behind closed doors friendly against Stoke have been revealed and the biggest talking point is that Darwin Nunez scored a first-half hat-trick in a 5-0 win.

Nunez has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, so perhaps that was a message to Arne Slot amid talk of a move for Hugo Ekitike.

Youngster Rio Ngumoha also got on the scoresheet as the Reds raced into a 4-0 lead before half-time. Federico Chiesa completed with the only goal in the second half.

Man Utd face Mbeumo issue

Manchester United are facing the disruption of losing Bryan Mbeumo to the Africa Cup of Nations next season.

Man United are closing in on a £71million deal to sign Mbeumo from Brentford with reports claiming the forward was due to undergo a medical over weekend.

Mbeumo is set to become the Red Devils' fourth signing of the summer transfer window but Ruben Amorim has already been dealt a huge blow as he is unlikely to have him available all next season.

This is because Cameroon have successfully qualified for AFCON which means Mbeumo - if selected - will be away at the tournament which runs for around four weeks between December and January.

Liverpool book Ekitike medical

This one is moving fast. Reports in Germany claim there is full agreement between Eintracht Frankfurt and Liverpool for the transfer of Hugo Ekitike.

It is claimed the total package will be up to €95m (£82m).

In addition, Ekitike now expected to undergo his medical at Liverpool next week and then join up with the squad in Asia for their pre-season tour.

Gibbs-White claim confirmed

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has confirmed Tottenham transfer target Morgan Gibbs-White is remaining professional amid speculation over his future.

Forest are unhappy with Spurs’ approach for the England international, claiming the north London outfit were never granted permission to speak to the 25-year-old.

As a result, any deal has been placed on hold at the moment and Forest signalled their intention to keep hold of the midfielder by naming him in their starting line-up against Monaco on Saturday in a pre-season friendly.

It has been reported that Gibbs-White wants his future sorted before Forest head off to Portugal for a pre-season training camp.

Xavi Simons is attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the RB Leipzig star is believed to want a new challenge and is being monitored by both London clubs as well as Barcelona.

Demiane Agustien has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal.

Described as an 'exciting Dutch midfielder' Agustien has spent the last two seasons with Derby, impressing in the under-18 Premier League with 16 goal contributions.

He now believes Arsenal is the best place to be for his development.

"I'm just very pleased, obviously playing for a big club. Can't wait to get started and play for Arsenal," he said.

“I think the way they’ve got the ex-pro footballers here as well, which is something big within the club.

“Obviously, you've got the likes of Per [Mertesacker], which I've obviously spoken to as well, and I know his values.

“They're very high and he wants to create a better player, but also a better person, which is a great statement as well.”

Renato Veiga is set to leave Chelsea again, but permanently this time.

The versatile defender only joined the Blues last summer, but departed on loan for Juventus during the January transfer window.

Howe voices frustrations

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe admitted his summer had not gone to plan after experiencing some frustration in the transfer market following the shock departure of sporting director Paul Mitchell.

News of Mitchell's departure came in late May while Howe was on holiday and immediately gave him added responsibilities.

Since then the Carabao Cup winners have only added winger Anthony Elanga to their first-team squad - Spain Under-19 international Antonio Cordero is expected to go out on loan after arriving from Malaga.

Newcastle appear to have lost a transfer battle with Liverpool who look set to finalise a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

Howe said: "My wish was for us to do our business early and we certainly tried, but it wasn't to be.

"We've had a frustrating time in terms of losing targets to other clubs. I'd be very open with that. That's happened on several occasions.

"You just have to accept it. In order for a transfer to really work, in my opinion, the player has to be desperate to come to your club. If we don't get that, the transfer doesn't work.

"We're seeking players that are good enough, that are desperate to come, and that can make the difference that they're in short supply for us.

West Ham head coach Graham Potter has long admired Kyle Walker-Peters’ game and is relishing the opportunity to work with him.

Man City eye Trafford deal

Man City have already earmarked a replacement for Ederson should the Brazilian join Galatasaray this summer.

Sky Sports claim City want to bring Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford back to the club.

Ekitike to Liverpool imminent?

Eintracht Frankfurt boss Dino Toppmoller has all but confirmed Hugo Ekitike is set to join Liverpool this summer.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reached an agreement to return to former side Olympique de Marseille.

The Gabonese striker, formerly of Arsenal and Chelsea, left the Ligue 1 club for Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah last summer but elected to terminate the remainder of his two-year contract.

It means Aubameyang, 36, is set to return to Marseille on a free transfer, according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that the forward will pen a two-year contract with his former side - now coached by ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi and competing in next season’s Champions League after finishing second in the French top flight - despite reported interest from Premier League clubs and Saudi outfit Al Ettifaq.

Fenerbahce set for PSG double swoop

Fenerbahce are set to complete a double swoop for Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio.

There are plans for the duo to complete medical checks and their official signing in Istanbul this week, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu among other reports.

Slovakian centre-back Skriniar, 30, spent the second half of last season on loan with Jose Mourinho’s side, while 29-year-old ex-Real Madrid man Asensio excelled with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa but was not signed on a permanent deal at the end of his own six-month loan.

The double deal is reportedly for a combined transfer value of €20m (£17m), according to A Spor, which could be quite the coup.

Arsenal accidentally leak image of FIFTH summer signing

Arsenal have accidentally confirmed the signing of Cristhian Mosquera during the announcement of Noni Madueke's arrival.

The Gunners on Friday unveiled Madueke as their fourth summer signing, joining from Chelsea in a deal worth up to £52million. The winger follows Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard through the door as Mikel Arteta's summer spending soars past £200million.

And a fifth signing is not too far away. Thanks to the possible slip of a website editor's finger, Arsenal inadvertently unveiled Mosquera in an Arsenal kit. The image appears to have been uploaded by accident during a batch release of Madueke imagery.

The image, which has since been deleted from Getty Images, shows Mosquera being interviewed by a member of Arsenal staff, seemingly during his traditional welcome interview for fans.

Madueke confirms Chelsea departure

Noni Madueke has confirmed that he will leave Chelsea this summer, with his move to Arsenal set to be confirmed imminently.

The Briton signed with the Blues from Eindhoven in 2023, scoring 13 goals in 67 League appearances since.

But he is now set to sign for arch London rivals Arsenal in a deal understood by Standard Sport to be worth £52million.
