Arsenal Women have completed the signing of goalkeeper Anneke Borbe.

The German joins the Gunners on a free transfer after her contract with Wolfsburg expired at the end of last month.

Borbe will be expected to come in and provide competition for Daphne van Domselaar, who established herself as Arsenal’s No1 last season.

“I’m really proud to join this amazing club,” said Borbe. “I’m so happy to have the opportunity to come and be a part of Arsenal at such an exciting time.

“I’m looking forward to getting down to work with my team-mates and of course playing in front of our incredible supporters at Emirates Stadium.”

Mosquera to complete Arsenal move

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Cristhian Mosquera after the defender flew to London on Tuesday morning.

The Gunners are putting the finishing touches to a deal with Valencia that is understood to be worth below the LaLiga club’s initial £17million asking price.

Reports in Spain state that Arsenal will pay £13m up front, but add-ons may see the total value of the deal increase by around £3.5m.

Bayern consider Arsenal duo

Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Arsenal wingers Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

The German club are in the market for a winger following the departure of Leroy Sane, and Liverpool star Luis Diaz is said to be top of their shortlist.

However, BILD report that Trossard is also a serious target, with Martinelli a back-up option if other moves do not materialise.

Done deal!

Brentford have completed the signing of former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on a two-year deal.

The 35-year-old joins Brentford on a free transfer after leaving Dutch giants Ajax at the end of last season.

Henderson had considerable interest from clubs across Europe but prioritised a move back to England.

The 84-cap England international has his sights set on making Thomas Tuchel's 2026 World Cup squad and feels a move back to the Premier League will put him front and centre of the England boss's thinking.

Henderson left Liverpool in 2023 after captaining the Merseyside club to the Premier League title in 2020 as well as the Champions League in 2019.

The veteran midfielder endured an ill-fated spell at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq before joining Ajax in January 2024.

In a summer where Brentford have already lost long-standing head coach Thomas Frank and captain Christian Norgaard as well as potentially losing both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, Henderson's experience is viewed as an important asset.

No breakthrough in Vinicius talks

Talks between Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid over a new contract have come to standstill.

Reports in the Spanish media suggest that Vinicius’ wage demands have been deemed too high by the club and no agreement is close.

The Brazilian’s current deal runs through until the summer of 2027.

Liverpool turn focus to new striker

Liverpool are now set to focus on signing a new elite striker, with Alexander Isak part of a possible three-man shortlist.

The Reds have already spent upwards of £210million, including the club-record-smashing £116m arrival of Florian Wirtz and the £40m spent on Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez.

Arne Slot is keen to continue bolstering his Premier League-winning squad with patience finally running out on £85m flop Darwin Nunez, who is expected to leave this summer.

The Athletic report that both Napoli and Al Hilal are monitoring the Uruguayan. Federico Chiesa is also likely to leave should an acceptable offer come in.

The same report details Liverpool's intention to sign a new striker, and Newcastle frontman Isak remains of significant interest along with Hugo Ekitike, who the Magpies are currently looking to sign to play alongside the Sweden star.

Also named are Victor Osimhen, who Napoli are keen to offload and last week rejected a bid in the region of €75million (£65m) from Galatasaray as they were unhappy with the payment structure.

Arsenal could wait for further signings

Arsenal are set to focus on outgoings before strengthening further this summer.

The likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke are close to completing moves to Arsenal, with the Chelsea winger in particularly set to be announced soon.

However, the Athletic report that while the Gunners have interest in Eberechi Eze and Rodrygo, that could be put on hold until later in the window.

There are no immediate plans to sell Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard, but the sale of one of those players could allow further reinforcements to arrive.

Forest lodge complaint over Spurs' Gibbs-White approach

In case you missed it...

Gibbs-White, who has a £60million release clause in his current contract at the City Ground, was due to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Spurs on Friday.

But the deal has since been thrown into doubt, with Forest claiming Spurs were never granted permission to speak to the England international and raising concerns over how the North London club became aware of confidential details within his contract.

Coventry due millions in Gyokeres sell-on fees

The Swedish striker joined Sporting Lisbon from Coventry in July 2023, and the Sky Blues retain a 10% sell-on clause on any profit over and above the £21m they received for him in that deal.

If the final figure for Arsenal’s Gyokeres fee reaches £64m as expected, Coventry would therefore be due around £4.3m.

A small amount of that would in turn be due to Brighton as part of the deal they agreed with Coventry for the sale of Gyokeres in the summer of 2021.

Coventry's sell-on was initially 15%, Sky Sports reports, but they sold 5% of that back to Sporting last summer for an undisclosed amount.

Modric takes AC Milan No14 after medical

Luka Modric has been unveiled as AC Milan’s new No14.

The Croatian, who left Real Madrid this summer after 13 seasons in the Spanish capital, has been completing his medical in Milan today.

Other previous No14s for the Rossoneri include Frank Rijkaard, Paulo Maldini and Modric’s former manager in Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti.

The 39-year-old wore the No10 at Real, but that shirt number is currently held by Rafael Leao in Milan.

Brentford see Hutchinson as Mbeumo replacement

Earlier, we reported that Brentford are considering Omari Hutchinson as a potential replacement for Bryan Mbeumo if the latter forward ends up leaving London in favour of Manchester United.

Mbeumo's imminent departure has left Brentford looking for replacements, and they have now identified Hutchinson, who favours a move back to London, as an option on the right wing.

Hutchinson stood out last term despite a difficult season for Ipswich, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 31 appearances as the Tractor Boys were relegated from the Premier League.

The 21-year-old joined Ipswich permanently from Chelsea last summer in a club-record deal worth up to £22.5million with performance-based add-ons.

Chelsea have the right to match any bid that comes in for Hutchinson this summer, but are likely to waive that option, having already brought in wingers Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian from Borussia Dortmund and Palmeiras, respectively.

Hutchinson wants to play Premier League football again next season, and with Mbeumo set to leave, the England Under-21 international would play a key role under new Brentford head coach Keith Andrews.

Kudus risks Hammers fans wrath

The Ghanaian attacker’s £55million move to north London was finalised last week, and he is likely to have already wound up some Hammers fans by saying - during his first interview after joining his new club - that he “only wanted Spurs”.

But a new clip has since emerged on social media of Kudus - the first West Ham player to leave for rivals Tottenham since Scott Parker in 2011 - during his medical which will no doubt be a further talking point among his former fans.

Leicester and QPR agree compensation over Cifuentes

Leicester City have reached an agreement with Queens Park Rangers over a compensation package for manager Marti Cifuentes.

The Foxes faced delays organising the Spaniard’s new visa over the weekend, according to Sky Sports, but remain hopeful that the deal to confirm him as their new boss will be completed in time for the squad’s flight to Austria on Wednesday for a pre-season training camp.

It comes after Cifuentes offered to pay half of the £500k compensation himself.

The 43-year-old left QPR by mutual consent at the end of last month, after being placed on gardening leave by the Championship club in April amid links to other clubs.

Eze to Arsenal latest with Gyokeres and Mosquera deals close

Arsenal’s priority after completing their deal for Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly to bring in an attacking midfielder, and Eberechi Eze remains top of that list.

With the Gunners edging ever closer to finalising a deal for the Sporting striker, a formal approach to Crystal Palace regarding England international Eze could happen in the near future, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Arsenal also hope to strike a deal for a fee lower than Eze’s £68million release clause, it is reported.

It comes after news broke earlier today that the North Londoners also have a verbal agreement in place for the signing of Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera.

Sunderland and West Ham vying for Leicester playmaker

Sunderland and West Ham are among several clubs pushing to sign Leicester’s Bilal El Khannouss.

The Moroccan international was a rare bright spark for the Foxes at times last season and - despite having a few years remaining on his contract - has been linked with an immediate return to the Premier League after suffering relegation with the East Midlands side.

The Black Cats are currently leading the race for his signature, according to L’Equipe, but the Hammers and Ligue 1’s Monaco are also keen on the 21-year-old playmaker.

United preparing £26m bid for Colombian midfielder

Manchester United are said to be preparing a bid of around £26million for Colombia international Richard Rios.

The Red Devils have been pushing to bring in Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo as well as a new centre forward this summer, ever since signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves at the start of the transfer window.

But with further frontline deals still stalling, there are reports from Brazil that United could be lining up an offer for Palmeiras’ 25-year-old midfielder.

Scouts were sent from Manchester to watch Rios at the Club World Cup, according to PalmeirasOnline, but the Brazilian club are said to want at least £30m for him.

The player also may prefer a move to Italy, Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says, throwing another spanner in the works.

Sesko's agent contacts four Premier League suitors

Benjamin Sesko’s agent has reportedly contacted Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle after the 22-year-old’s move to Arsenal fell through.

With the Gunners having chosen to pursue Viktor Gyokeres as their first-choice No9 despite courting both forwards this summer, Sesko’s camp have now been in touch with four other top-flight sides in England to determine interest in the RB Leipzig player, according to TBR Football.

The towering Slovenian turned down a move to the Emirates last summer, saying at the time that he wasn’t quite ready to leave Leipzig.

But 12 months later, there are once again rumours swirling that he could soon be on the move.

Liverpool want more than £45m for Konate

The 23-year-old PSV and Belgium forward was viewed by Forest as a potential replacement for Anthony Elanga, who departed the City Ground this summer to join Newcastle.

But according to multiple reports, Bakayoko has decided to pursue a move to Leipzig - with whom he already has a full verbal agreement, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Noni Madueke’s move from Chelsea to Arsenal is signed and sealed.

The England winger flew back to the UK from Chelsea’s Club World Cup camp in the USA after a deal worth £52m was agreed between the London rivals.

He has passed a medical over the weekend and Fabrizio Romano reports that all the relevant transfer documents have been signed.

Who are the Premier League's big spenders so far?

Chelsea are the Premier League’s biggest spenders so far in this summer transfer window, having splashed out some £218million on recent incomings including Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

All in all, Premier League clubs have spent £1.3billion on transfers this summer, according to Sky Sports data analysis, with 49 days remaining in the window.

But it’s Bournemouth and Wolves who lead the way for money raised, with outgoings totalling nearly £100m each to date.

Liverpool eyeing big Vini Jr bid

Despite having already spent big this summer to bolster their Premier League-winning squad, the Reds may be preparing an offer of around €130 million (£112m) for the Brazilian winger, according to Spanish media outlet Defensa Central.

That’s apparently because Vini Jr - whose current deal with Los Blancos runs until 2027 - is yet to sign a contract extension at the Bernabeu, with the situation reportedly catching the attention of Liverpool’s higher-ups.

Newcastle and Man Utd lead Ekitike race

Newcastle and Manchester United are said to be the “most active” clubs in the race for French frontman Hugo Ekitike.

The Eintracht Frankfurt striker has a release clause believed to be around £86million, with the Magpies - looking to bolster their attacking options - and United - who remain in search of a reliable first-choice No9 - reportedly the most engaged of the sides currently in the race for his signature this summer.

That comes from journalist Abdellah Boulma, who says big spenders and newly-crowned Club World Cup champions Chelsea are continuing to monitor the situation closely.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are said to be “taking a back seat” as they follow the player - who is understood to be open to a move to the Premier League - but don’t view him as a priority signing.

Darren Fletcher to lead United U18s

The former Scotland midfielder first returned to Old Trafford - where he previously spent 20 years as a player - as an U16s coach in 2020 before joining the first-team coaching staff early the following year under then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Fletcher will begin his new role immediately, United confirmed, and will continue to lead the U18 squad’s pre-season preparations after overseeing a training camp at Adidas’ global headquarters in Germany before an 8-2 win over QPR at Carrington over the weekend.

Gyokeres to Arsenal latest

Standard Sport understands that the final details of the transfer are now being discussed, with all parties moving towards reaching a full agreement for the Swedish striker to join the Gunners from Sporting.

Gyokeres, 27, has already agreed personal terms on a five-year deal and has been awaiting a club-to-club agreement. He is now expected to join Arsenal in a deal worth €63.5million (£54.86m), with a further €10m (£8.64) in add-ons.

Sporting want the full add-ons to be realistic and achievable while the striker’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has waived his entire commission - which was due to be worth around €7m (£6.05m) - to help finalise the deal.

Liverpool meet with Mateta

The Reds are in the market for a new striker, with Darwin Nunez up for sale as Arne Slot continues to strengthen his Premier League-winning squad.

And their latest target may be the Frenchman, who is reported by Foot Mercato journalist Sebastien Denis to have met with Liverpool in Paris sometime in the last few days.

Mateta, 28, scored 14 league goals last season as well as helping Palace win the 2024-25 FA Cup.

Marcus Rashford has reportedly rejected an offer from the Saudi Pro League as he continues to push for a move to Barcelona.

One club made an offer of around €40million (£34m), according to Mundo Deportivo, who report that Rashford declined the proposal as he waits for Barca, his preferred destination, to table a bid - either for a permanent or loan deal.

Arsenal 'increasingly confident' of Nwaneri extension

The 18-year-old Gunners academy product enjoyed a break-out campaign with Mikel Arteta’s squad last season, notching nine goals in 37 appearances.

Despite speculation that he could leave the Emirates this summer, with one year left on his current contract, Arsenal’s higher-ups remain positive that an agreement can be reached, according to the Mail.

There are reportedly talks over a five-year contract, or a four-year deal with an option for an additional year.

Al Hilal want Watkins

Al Hilal are eyeing Aston Villa frontman Ollie Watkins as the Saudi Pro League side look to sign a new striker.

Watkins, who was the subject of a £40million offer from Arsenal in January, is under contract at Villa Park until June 2028.

And amid interest from several other Premier League rivals already this summer, Villa have reportedly set an asking price of at least £60m.

But Al Hilal, who sent Manchester City crashing out of the Club World Cup a few weeks ago, have now taken an interest in the 29-year-old as well, reports journalist Nicolo Schira.

Morgan Gibbs-White has been pictured returning to pre-season training at Nottingham Forest as his potential move to Tottenham continues to stall.

Spurs reportedly triggered the England midfielder’s rumoured £60million release clause last week, and Gibbs-White was understood to have been set for a medical in North London on Friday before the deal was delayed.

But with Forest lodging a legal complaint - which has now been filed, per The Sun’s Tom Barclay - alleging an illegal approach was made for their player, the 25-year-old has now returned for pre-season in Nottingham after being given extra time off following England duty last month.

Arsenal agree Mosquera deal

Arsenal reportedly have a verbal agreement in place for the signing of Valencia centre-back Christian Mosquera.

The deal, which has been in the works for some time, is a long-term one with a fee of around €15million (£13m) plus add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Formal steps are to follow, with a medical potentially now set for later this week.

Bayern could target £20m Trossard

Arsenal could sell Leandro Trossard to help “balance the books” as they continue to pursue the completion of a deal for Sporting striker Viktor ­Gyokeres - and Bayern Munich could be in for the Belgian forward.

German media Bild reports that the Bundesliga champions will turn their attention to Trossard if they are unable to bring in their top target, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The 30-year-old, who has also been linked with Turkish side Fenerbahce and clubs in Saudi Arabia, is expected to demand a fee of around £20million, according to the Guardian.

It comes as the Gunners also look to finalise a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who Fabrizio Romano reports will sign a five-year contract with Mikel Arteta’s side today.

£19m West Ham centre-back target flies to London

West Ham defensive target El Hadji Malick Diouf is reportedly flying to London this morning to complete his £19million move from Slavia Prague.

The 20-year-old Senegal international is en-route to England, according to Foot Mercato, who reported that the Hammers had agreed a deal to add him to Graham Potter’s squad.

Diouf, who was given an emotional send-off in Slavia Prague’s friendly against Dynamo Dresden on Sunday, is expected to complete his medical early this week.

Garnacho excluded from United pre-season squad

Alejandro Garnacho has been omitted from Manchester United’s pre-season tour squad as he continues to seek a move away from Old Trafford.

The rest of the Red Devils squad are embarking on a five-match pre-season tour that will see them face Leeds in Sweden this Saturday, followed by West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the United States, and Fiorentina at Old Trafford.

But Garnacho - likely alongside fellow exit-bound attackers Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony - will play no part in those warm-up matches, reports the Manchester Evening News.

It follows reports over the weekend that Garnacho rejected a potential move to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi side Al Nassr, with the player instead thought to be keen on remaining in the Premier League.

Travers medical today

Everton are closing in on the £4m signing of goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth.

According to Sky Sports, Travers will undergo a medical with the Toffees today after reaching an agreement over personal terms.

Gibbs-White set for Forest return

At one stage last week it appeared Morgan Gibbs-White was on his way to Tottenham.

However, Sky Sports report that the deal has been delayed - and could be called off - as Forest have lodged a complaint to the Premier League.

In a fresh development of such, Gibbs-White is due to report back for Nottingham Forest pre-season today after being given extra time off having played for England in June.

Neom SC to sign Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is set to join Neom SC.

Neom will play in the Saudi Arabia top-flight next season and Sky Sport in Germany claim the midfielder has reached a verbal agreement with the club.

It looks set to be a busy week for Arsenal, who are looking to wrap up deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

But the Gunners are looking to get THREE deals done next week according to Henry Winter, who says they also want to complete a move for Cristhian Mosquera.

“Should be a good week for Arsenal,” said Winter on social media. “Madueke and Mosquera in. Gyokeres fee virtually agreed, just at the add-on debating stage, plus dealing with agent’s substantial cut (and Arsenal being strong on that point).

“Gyokeres obviously v keen to go to Arsenal (and will need a contrite farewell letter to Sporting). Maybe needs to have another word with his agent - get the deal done.”

Fenerbahce rule out move for Spurs midfielder

Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is being linked with a move away from Spurs and Fenerbahce have been credited with an interest in the midfielder.

Spurs want to sign a new midfielder this summer and there have been reports that officials from Fenerbahce had flown to London for talks over Bissouma.

But Fabrizio Romano claims there have been “no active talks” between Spurs and the Turkish club, who he claims are “focused on different targets”.

Garnacho rejects Al Nassr move

Alejandro Garnacho has rejected opportunity to pursue move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo's team had initial discussions with Garnacho but the Telegraph report the 21-year-old has prioritised a move to Europe.

Fabrizio Romano has gone one further and claimed Garnacho wants to stay in the Premier League.

Totteham latest on Gibbs-White

Nottingham Forest captain Ryan Yates has had his say on Tottenham’s move to sign Morgan Gibbs-White.

Spurs this week submitted a £60m bid for Gibbs-White but Nottingham Forest believe their efforts to sign the midfielder amount to an illegal approach.

The transfer saga looks set to rumble on and, while Spurs still confident of a deal, the deal is on hold for now.

Yates has said: “I feel as though that, until something is done, until a player signs on the dotted line for another club, it is just speculation. I don’t know what more to say on the Morgan situation, because it has all happened so quickly.

“As a player, you just accept it is a business. I do not know the ins and outs of what has happened, because it all happened so quickly. Morgan is a fantastic player and somebody who has been hugely influential for us in the Premier League. But this is football.”

Benfica target cut-price Joao Felix deal

Another player who looks to be on his way out of Chelsea is Joao Felix.

Benfica are in talks over a move for the 25-year-old and reports in Portugal claim they are eyeing a £21.6million deal.

A Bola say Benfica want a cut-price deal for a player they sold to Atletico Madrid for £113m in 2019.

Talks are continuing but Benfica are said to be keen to keep the transfer fee involved in any potential deal “under control”.

Chelsea set Nkunku price

Christopher Nkunku have set an asking price of over £30million for Christopher Nkunku, according to fresh reports in France.

Nkunku wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and has been linked with several clubs including Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

L’Equipe say Chelsea want €35m (£30.3m) for the 27-year-old, who is in the Blues squad at the Club World Cup.

PSG want Fulham ‘crown jewel’

Fulham face a fight to keep hold of the “crown jewel” of their academy, as Paris Saint-Germain and top Premier League clubs target England Under-17s captain Seth Ridgeon.

Ridgeon is considered one of the best young talents in the country and Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa are all keen on the midfielder.

TBR Football claim Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Ridgeon, who was not among the Fulham scholars to sign fresh terms last week.
