The end of June and beginning of July is set to kick the summer transfer business up a gear, and Chelsea continue to be the biggest spenders of the window so far. Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens are set to join for a combined £105million, with the pair to undergo medicals this week. Pedro could make his debut in the Club World Cup on Friday evening.
Arsenal are also expected to confirm two new signings this week with Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga joining. Martin Zubimendi will not be far behind, and the club are also working on a deal for Cristhian Mosquera after having an opening bid rejected. Mikel Arteta is desperate to spend big on a striker, and Benjamin Sesko appears to be their preferred choice amid rival interest in Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike. Eberechi Eze is another target as they look to rival Tottenham for a key summer target.
Manchester United are plotting a third bid for Bryan Mbeumo after an offer worth £62.5m was rejected. Tottenham could move for Mohammed Kudus at West Ham, but Liverpool are unwilling to cough up £45m for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi. Follow the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours live below!

Estevao to face Chelsea?
16:00 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWhile Joao Pedro could yet play a role for Chelsea at the Club World Cup, fellow prospective signing Jamie Gittens will not be permitted to do so having already played in the competition for Borussia Dortmund.
It’s a different situation altogether for Estevao Willian, whom Chelsea agreed to sign from Palmeiras for an initial £29m fee that could rise above £50m with add-ons.
Chelsea have agreed for Estevao to remain at Palmeiras for the Club World Cup which means he is in line to face his parent club on the quarter-final showdown this week.

Norgaard gets Brentford blessing to complete Arsenal move

Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports News, Giles said: “Arsenal approached us in the last two weeks about Christian – we’ve spoken regularly with Andrea Berta.
“As it stands, I think it’s more likely to happen than not, but we have to go through the full process, tick all the boxes, and we’ll see at the end of it.
“He’s been a fantastic player for us, unbelievable. I’m actually happy for him that he has earned the opportunity, at this stage of his career, age 31, to go and have the opportunity to win some trophies.
“It isn’t done yet but we are aware that, if and when he does depart, we also have a leadership void to fill. We’ll look to cover it.”

"I wish I could have had a bigger impact on the team, on the results," Giroud said. "At the end, it was a good experience. Obviously I can't stay longer, so I need a new chapter. I need to challenge myself one more time, and when I had the opportunity to come back (to) France, I just grabbed it. I wish nothing but the best for the club. I tried hard. I tried my best."
He added: "If you would have asked me a few years before, I would have answered you that was not the plan to come back, but you never know, and never say no.
"If you know football, you understand that in one sense, yeah, I didn't really fit to maybe the game style, I would say. Just being honest. I try to adapt. I try my best one more time, but I can't do something I'm not used to (doing) and I don't know how to do."

Arsenal aware of Gyokeres U-turn
08:28 , Alex YoungViktor Gyokeres has had a change of heart over joining Arsenal this summer, with Manchester United now in pole position to sign the Sporting striker.

Standard Sport understands that Sporting are demanding at least €70million (£59.6m) to begin negotiations over a fee, and recent reports suggested that Arsenal were clear favourites to sign Gyokeres despite seeing an opening bid worth €55m (£47m) reportedly rejected.
