Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all aiming to seal big deals as the start of the new Premier League season draws nearer. It could be a busy 24 hours or so at the Emirates Stadium with the Gunners expected to confirm the signings of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera, to take their summer spend close to the £200m mark, whilst also retaining an interest in Eberechi Eze.
Liverpool, who have already spent over that amount, are looking to bolster their attack with a £70m move for Hugo Ekitike. This is after Newcastle made it clear Alexander Isak was not for sale and the Magpies themselves have turned to Brentford’s Yoane Wissa having pulled out of the race for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker.
Manchester United have seen a third bid for Bryan Mbeumo accepted. How this impacts Wissa’s future remains to be seen and the Bees will not want to lose both of their star forwards in the same window. Meanwhile swap deal involving United winger Alejandro Garnacho and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson has been mooted. Elsewhere, Tottenham remain hopeful of concluding a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White.
