Munoz 'open' to Crystal Palace exit

Daniel Munoz is open to leaving Crystal Palace this summer, writes Sam Tabuteau.

The right-back, who assisted Eberechi Eze's winner in the FA Cup final, is happy at Selhurst Park but remains keen to "play for the best teams in the world" and hopes a transfer will materialise this summer.

Munoz, 29, has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League since arriving from Genk two years ago, and hopes to have impressed enough to earn a move to a bigger team.

However, to date, no club has yet been in contact.

Chelsea in advanced talks for £25m deal

Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for £25million, writes Dom Smith.

Sunderland had previously shown interest in Petrovic, and Monaco were also linked, but the Cherries are now frontrunners to sign him.

Petrovic is keen to join Bournemouth, and there is confidence on all sides that the move will be completed.

Chelsea are currently planning to go into the new season with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen as their two main goalkeepers, and have been open to moving Petrovic on following a season-long loan at sister club Strasbourg.

Gibbs-White to Tottenham twist

Sky Sports have reported that a deal to take Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest to Tottenham is currently off.

According to the report, Forest are consulting their lawyers over what they believe is an illegal approach as they never gave permission for talks.

Kudus explains Spurs decision

Mohammed Kudus has explained why he only wanted to join Tottenham this summer.

Kudus became Spurs’ third major signing - after Mathys Tel and Kota Takai - under new head coach Thomas Frank as his £55m transfer from West Ham was finalised on Thursday.

In the announcement video on Tottenham’s official X account, formerly Twitter, a statement reads: “He only wanted Spurs. Welcome to North London, Mohammed Kudus.”

Chelsea are preparing for a huge Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain amid ongoing transfer speculation over Noni Madueke.

Arsenal have struck a £52million deal with the Blues for the winger, who has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Madueke is currently with the Chelsea squad in the United States, ahead of Sunday's Club World Cup final in New York.

Crystal Palace seal Borna Sosa deal

Crystal Palace have announced the £3million signing of left wing-back Borna Sosa from Ajax on a three-year deal, writes Sam Tabuteau.

The 27-year-old, capped 26 times by Croatia, will provide competition for academy graduate Tyrick Mitchell at Selhurst Park next season.

Sosa endured a difficult two-year spell at Ajax, spending last season on loan in Italy at Torino. However, he arrives in England with a strong reputation from his time with German club Stuttgart, where he recorded 35 assists and five goals in 115 appearances.

Wissa bid rejected, Spurs remain interested

Tottenham remain interested in signing Yoane Wissa this summer as Brentford reject a bid in the region of £20million from Nottingham Forest for the striker.

Forest have reignited their interest in Wissa after seeing a bid worth around £22m rejected in January. Their latest offer falls below that figure.

Spurs enquired about Wissa earlier this summer and were told by Brentford that a fee of at least £50m would be required. There has been no contact between the clubs in two weeks, but Standard Sport understands that the 28-year-old remains a target.

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Borna Sosa from Ajax.

Rashford to Barcelona latest

Huge developments regarding the future of Marcus Rashford.

Having been frozen out by Ruben Amorim, then sent out on loan to Aston Villa and then seeing his No10 shirt handed to Matheue Cunha whilst still at the club, it is clear that Rashford doesn't figure into plans at Old Trafford.

The good news for the Rashford is he is now Barcelona’s clear left-wing target.

According to Sky in Germany, Barca are expected to try and agree a deal and are 'prepared to go all-in' after missing out on deals for Luis Diaz and Nico Williams.

Rodrygo asking price

There is a lot of talk surrounding a possible exit for Rodrygo at Real Madrid.

The Brazilian has barely featured at the Club World Cup this summer and was left on the bench for the semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

It has since been reported that Los Blancos are willing to let Rodrygo leave this summer - but not on the cheap.

UOL Esporte in Brazil claim they want offers of around €100m (£86m) before they consider letting Rodrygo leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

Jackson could leave Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson is facing an uncertain future at Chelsea.

Jackson was Chelsea's first-choice striker last season but he has competition now following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

As a result, he could have a chance to leave before the window closes.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano who has revealed AC Milan have made an enquiry but Chelsea asking price is too high.

Interestingly though, Premier League clubs are said keen on Jackson.

Henderson to join Brentford

Jordan Henderson is set to join Brentford as a free agent following his departure from Ajax, writes Sam Tabuteau.

The former Liverpool captain will join the Bees on a two-year contract until 2027, marking his return to the Premier League after two years.

Henderson is expected to sign paperwork and complete a medical over the weekend, but an official announcement is not expected until next week.

Why Arsenal want Madueke

It would be an understatement to say that the reaction to Arsenal pursuing a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has not been positive among supporters.

A ‘#NoToMadueke’ hashtag, and even a petition, have surfaced on social media as Arsenal fans voice their scepticism about a potential deal worth in the region of £52million.

The Gunners have had this in the past with signings under Mikel Arteta. The £50m spent on Ben White raised eyebrows at the time, as did moves for Aaron Ramsdale and Kai Havertz.

It is hard, however, to recall a reaction quite like the one that has erupted since news of Arsenal’s interest in Madueke first came to light.

Well, that is according to the Athletic as they are reporting that Atletico Madrid decided to end their pursuit of the Argentina international.

Furthermore, the LaLiga giants believe Spurs will now try to tie Romero to a new contract.

Tottenham have confirmed Mohammed Kudus’ shirt number upon the completion of the big-money summer transfer.

The Ghana international was officially unveiled as a Spurs player on Wednesday after a £55m deal was agreed with London rivals West Ham earlier in the week.

Now, it has been confirmed that Kudus will wear No20 for Tottenham, which had previously been worn by Fraser Forster prior to his release at the end of last month.

After completing his £55m transfer from West Ham, Mohammed Kudus has told Tottenham fans exactly what to expect from him.

“It feels great to be here, I’m very happy and can’t wait to start,” he said.

“I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game.

“I like to entertain the fans as well. That’s what football is about – it’s putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home, and after the money they’ve spent to buy a ticket.

The Athletic reports that Forest have made a bid worth over £25million for the Brentford striker after Spurs enquired about his availability.

Forest made a bid worth £22m last January for Wissa, but it was knocked back by the Bees.

Elliot 'certain' to leave Liverpool his summer

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott’s exit from Anfield this summer is considered “certain”.

That comes from ex-Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who told Football Insider that the 22-year-old is likely to want out due to a desire for increased gametime.

Elliott - who recently starred for England in their U21 European Championships-winning campaign - was a bit-part player for Liverpool under Arne Slot last season, but has attracted interest from the Bundesliga as well as the likes of Brighton, Tottenham and Newcastle domestically, the outlet reports.

Konate Real's top target

Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate is reportedly Real Madrid’s priority target in central defence.

The Frenchman’s most recent talks with the Premier League champions ended in his rejection of a new deal offer, and Spanish media Diario AS now reports that Los Blancos are ready to enter the race for his signature.

Real are understood to prefer the idea of bringing Konate in on a free transfer next summer, but may make a move for the 26-year-old in this window if they sell one of their current crop of defenders.

Brighton could sell Ferguson

Brighton are reportedly open to letting Evan Ferguson leave on a permanent deal if the right offer was received.

The 20-year-old Irish striker is the subject of interest from clubs including Roma, with the Italian side initially looking at a loan with an obligation to buy.

Arsenal break world record for Liverpool's Smith

Arsenal have reportedly had a women’s football world record bid of £1million accepted by Liverpool for attacker Olivia Smith.

The Reds had previously rejected several offers for the Canadian forward, the Guardian reports.

But Arsenal’s latest attempt, which is believed to be the first women’s football transfer fee to break the £1m barrier, is understood to have been accepted for 20-year-old Smith, who scored seven goals in 20 Women’s Super League (WSL) appearances for Liverpool last season in what was her debut campaign.

The previous women’s world record fee was the $1.1m (£811k) paid by Chelsea for American centre-back Naomi Girma in January.

DONE DEAL

Simon Adingra has completed his move from Brighton to Sunderland.

The 23-year-old, who signed for the Seagulls in 2022 and has 22 caps for Ivory Coast, joins the Black Cats for about £18million plus some £2.5m in add-ons.

Adingra’s five-year deal marks Sunderland’s sixth summer signing since securing their return to the Premier League, and puts their total spending in this window above the £100m mark.

Barca not fully sold on Rashford

Not everyone at Barcelona is sold on the idea that Marcus Rashford is the right man to bolster their frontline.

The wantaway Manchester United winger has long viewed Barca as his preferred destination, and reports in recent days have suggested the feeling may have become increasingly mutual - particularly since top target Nico Williams opted to remain at Athletic Bilbao, and leading alternative Luis Diaz appeared to edge closer to Bayern Munich or similarly staying put at Liverpool.

Current information that Rashford’s appeal has “grown considerably” recently, particularly given his ability to play centrally as well as on the left wing, “does not guarantee anything at all”, according to Spanish journalist Adrian Sanchez, who said that without Williams and Diaz, Rashford is “needed”.

But the Catalan club “won’t go crazy” on any players on whom there is no full consensus within the club, he added.

Ronaldo wants Rudiger at Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly keen for Al Nassr to pursue Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

The 32-year-old German centre-back, who joined Real from Chelsea in 2022, has been a mainstay in Los Blancos’ backline over the last three seasons.

But with the arrival of Dean Huijsen, emergence of Raul Asencio and return of Eder Militao from injury, central defence is becoming a busy place for Xabi Alonso’s side.

Coupled with Wednesday’s Club World Cup humbling by Paris Saint-Germain, Rudiger - whose contract expires next year - may fancy a new opportunity, and Madrid might view this summer as a good time to cash in while they can.

Should that be the case, it’s reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes that Real legend Ronaldo is keen for his current Saudi Pro League employer to make a move for the experienced defender - and Al Nassr may be prepared to make a serious offer.

Dalot gets United No 2 shirt

Diogo Dalot has changed his Manchester United shirt number and will don the No2 top from the 2025-26 season onwards.

The Portuguese full-back, who had sported the No20 shirt since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2019, inherits his new number from Victor Lindelof after the Swedish centre-back left the club this summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Dalot joins the likes of former Red Devils right-back Gary Neville in wearing No2 for United.

It comes after United confirmed that new signing Matheus Cunha would take over the coveted No10 jersey from Marcus Rashford amid the latter’s ongoing search for a new club.

Gibbs-White to Spurs 'accelerating quickly'

Tottenham are reportedly gaining ground “quickly” in their bid to sign Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.

Reporting earlier today indicated the English midfielder was nearing a move to Manchester City, before Spurs expressed an interest earlier this afternoon.

And now Thomas Frank’s side, who are also nearing official completion in a statement signing of West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus, have opened formal talks with Forest over a minimum £60million move for Gibbs-White, according to the BBC’s Sami Mokbel.

If he does leave the City Ground this summer, the 25-year-old would mark another significant departure from Nuno Espirito Santo’s side after Newcastle swooped in for winger Anthony Elanga.

City youngster joins Leverkusen

Manchester City have let a few ageing big-name players go this summer in the form of Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker, but they’ve also now cashed in on teenaged talent Farid Alfa-Ruprecht.

The 19-year-old winger did not make a senior appearance in his time at City, but Pep Guardiola’s side still managed to agree a £5million package for him from Bayern Leverkusen.

Alfa-Ruprecht joins the rebuilding Bundesliga side on a long-term deal, according to Fabrizio Romano, with City understood to have a 40% sell-on clause.

It comes as City’s academy bring in 18-year-old striker Mahamadou Sangare from Paris Saint-Germain, with that deal being a free transfer.

Arsenal fans start #NoToMadueke petition

Arsenal’s pursuit of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has ramped up recently - but Gunners fans don’t seem best pleased with the plan.

In fact, further to the largely negative social media furore surrounding the proposed deal, an online petition has even been started featuring the hashtag #NoToMadueke.

The Change.org post, which says Arsenal fans “deserve better” than both Madueke - currently in action for the Blues at the Club World Cup and Mikel Arteta’s top striker target Viktor Gyokeres, has gained almost 2,400 signatures at the time of writing.

De Zerbi wants Auba Marseille return

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be set for a reunion with Marseille, with Roberto De Zerbi reportedly greenlighting the move for the soon-to-be free agent.

The Gabon striker left the Ligue 1 side last year after spending only a season at the Stade Velodrome, but is now expected to be released from the final year of his contract with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadisiya, according to recent reports.

That would leave Aubameyang, 36, a free agent, and L’Equipe says Marseille boss De Zerbi has approved a move for the ex-Arsenal and Chelsea frontman who notched 30 goals in all competitions for OM in 2023-24.

Penders set for Strasbourg loan

Mike Penders is set for a switch to Strasbourg.

The young Belgian goalkeeper has just arrived at Chelsea, but is expected to go straight back out on loan to the Blues’ sister club in Ligue 1.

Djordje Petrovic did similar last year and is close to finalising a permanent move away from west London, although Penders is thought to be more of a long-term option for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Spurs turn attention to Gibbs-White

Tottenham are set to make Morgan Gibbs-White their next transfer priority after they agreed a deal to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.

Standard Sport reported earlier that Spurs and the Hammers had struck an agreement for Kudus to move to north London, but now David Ornstein reports that Thomas Frank wants Gibbs-White as well as his summer spending spree continues.

Ornstein reports that Frank is a ‘long-term admirer’ of the 25-year-old, although it remains to be seen whether Spurs can convince Nottingham Forest to sell their talisman after they agreed to let Anthony Elanga leave for Newcastle.

Arsenal handed new Rodrygo boost

Arsenal will know more about Rodrygo’s situation very soon.

The Brazilian is high on the list of Mikel Arteta’s ideal transfer targets this summer as he seeks the addition of a new top-level winger to follow a statement striker arrival, likely Viktor Gyokeres.

Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid has become subject to serious doubt of late after he barely featured at all during their Club World Cup campaign.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old will have a meeting over his situation at the Bernabeu next week, with Madrid open to him leaving but will apparently leave it up to Rodrygo to decide.

In a boost for Arsenal, Rodrygo reportedly has no desire to move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia and wants to remain in Europe if he leaves Madrid.

Arsenal to make contact for Eze deal

It's been a busy few days at Arsenal.

Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have arrived to bolster the defensive midfield department.

And there could be a further addition in the engine room before too long.

According to the Guardian, the Gunners are expected to step up their attempts to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

It is understood that Arsenal are planning to make contact with Palace chairman Steve Parish to discuss a potential move, although he is unlikely to consider any offers below the £67.5m release clause.

Furthermore, it has been widely reported that the Gunners' pursuit of Eze is separate to their move for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.

Another Arsenal transfer could be at risk of collapsing as Valencia are standing firm on their valuation of defender Cristhian Mosquera.

The centre-back is out of contract at the Mestalla next summer and has reportedly rejected an offer for an renewal in the hope of joining the Gunners this summer.

Los Che are said to have rejected Arsenal’s initial bid of €15m (£12.9m) and are requesting €25m (£21.5m).

Cunha reveals pride at Man Utd shirt number decision

Manchester United summer signing Matheus Cunha has shared his pride at being handed the iconic No10 shirt.

The Brazilian was the first senior signing of the summer for United as Ruben Amorim looks to overhaul his squad following a dismal season.

He arrived from Wolves in a deal thought to be worth £62.5million, and will don the coveted No10 shirt, joining a long line of legendary players such as Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton in doing so.

“Yeah, wow. It's something that you always dream about,” Cunha said. “I can mention many players that use this shirt. It's so easy for me.

“Of course, I think the one that I always think about when I see this number in this shirt for me was Wayne Rooney. He was someone that I grew up to watch him play and I have [watched] many games now.

“Then I swapped shirts with Marcus [Rashford, after a game] also, I have his shirt in my home. But, of course, we know many players used this shirt – [Ruud] van Nistelrooy, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic.

Benfica eye Joao Felix return

Benfica have prioritised the signing of Chelsea forward Joao Felix this summer.

That is according to O Jogo. The Portuguese publication claims Benfica want to reunite Felix with his former boss Bruno Lage.

In addition, Benfica plan to acquire 50 per cent of his rights.

Felix, who has expressed his desire to return to his boyhood club, is also willing to take a pay cut to move back to Lisbon but Chelsea will want closer to the £46m they paid Atletico Madrid last summer.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed his delight at adding Christian Norgaard to the ranks.

Norgaard reveals Raya talks

Christian Norgaard will be reunited with one of his former Brentford team-mates at Arsenal in goalkeeper David Raya.

He spoke to Raya before making the move across London, while Gunners captain Martin Odegaard reached out to him, too.

“They both spoke so highly of [the club],” said Norgaard. “They keep describing this as a welcome to the family feeling.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Brentford captain Christian Norgaard.

The midfielder joins in a deal worth around £10million, and will compete with fellow summer signing Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice for first-team minutes following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.

Tottenham will avoid the disruption of losing Mohammed Kudus to the Africa Cup of Nations next season, writes Sam Tabuteau.

Portuguese publication A BOLA have reported that that the collapse of the Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal deal is 'imminent'.

Henderson statement

Earlier today it was announced that Jordan Henderson's contract at Ajax had been terminated as per his request.

Henderson's deal was set to run until June 2026, but he is now a free agent.
