Bayern could target £20m Trossard

Arsenal could sell Leandro Trossard to help “balance the books” as they continue to pursue the completion of a deal for Sporting striker Viktor ­Gyokeres - and Bayern Munich could be in for the Belgian forward.

German media Bild reports that the Bundesliga champions will turn their attention to Trossard if they are unable to bring in their top target, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The 30-year-old, who has also been linked with Turkish side Fenerbahce and clubs in Saudi Arabia, is expected to demand a fee of around £20million, according to the Guardian.

It comes as the Gunners also look to finalise a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who Fabrizio Romano reports will sign a five-year contract with Mikel Arteta’s side today.

Garnacho excluded from United pre-season squad

Alejandro Garnacho has been omitted from Manchester United’s pre-season tour squad as he continues to seek a move away from Old Trafford.

The rest of the Red Devils squad are embarking on a five-match pre-season tour that will see them face Leeds in Sweden this Saturday, followed by West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the United States, and Fiorentina at Old Trafford.

But Garnacho - likely alongside fellow exit-bound attackers Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony - will play no part in those warm-up matches, reports the Manchester Evening News.

It follows reports over the weekend that Garnacho rejected a potential move to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi side Al Nassr, with the player instead thought to be keen on remaining in the Premier League.

Travers medical today

Everton are closing in on the £4m signing of goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth.

According to Sky Sports, Travers will undergo a medical with the Toffees today after reaching an agreement over personal terms.

Travers is expected to serve as a back-up option to Jordan Pickford next season.

Arsenal eye Eze deal

Arsenal are set to bolster their attacking options with the signings of Viktor Gyokeres AND Noni Madueke.

However, reports claim the Gunners are not done shopping just yet.

According to the Mail, Arsenal will set their sights on Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze next after completing a deal for Madueke.

Gibbs-White set for Forest return

At one stage last week it appeared Morgan Gibbs-White was on his way to Tottenham.

In fact, Standard Sport understands that Gibbs-White was due to undergo a medical with Spurs on Friday.

However, Sky Sports report that the deal has been delayed - and could be called off - as Forest have lodged a complaint to the Premier League.

In a fresh development of such, Gibbs-White is due to report back for Nottingham Forest pre-season today after being given extra time off having played for England in June.

Neom SC to sign Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is set to join Neom SC.

Neom will play in the Saudi Arabia top-flight next season and Sky Sport in Germany claim the midfielder has reached a verbal agreement with the club.

All that remains is for an agreement over a transfer fee.

This means Xhaka is one step closer to being reunited with former Arsenal teammate Alexandre Lacazette after he made the move to Neom earlier in the summer.

Chelsea have won the Club World Cup as they secure a second piece of silverware in as many months and with it a staggering prize pot worth a record $1billion (£726million).

Alejandro Garnacho will not be making the move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

That is according to the Telegraph who claim the winger was handed an Old Trafford escape route by former teammate and idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

And some even bigger news on Arsenal, with the Independent reporting that negotiations for Viktor Gyokeres “have stalled over a difference in overall value and terms”.

The report says Arsenal’s stance is to offer €65million, with potential performance-related add-ons of €5m and €10m.

But it is claimed Sporting's “hard line” is that they want €70m guaranteed, with no add-ons.

The Independent say the situation “mirrors Arsenal's earlier pursuit of Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko in how neither club are budging, in what is being described as a “setback” for the Gunners.

A big update on Arsenal’s move for Noni Madueke, who will complete the final part of his medical in the next 24 hours.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who says Madueke is already in London after Arsenal agreed a £52million deal with Chelsea.

Spurs have triggered the £60million release clause in his contract but Forest believe their efforts to sign the midfielder amount to an illegal approach.

The deal is on hold for now but Football.London say Spurs “still hope to push through with the deal” for Gibbs-White, who was left out of the Forest squad for their first pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Arsenal target Gyokeres as part of TRIPLE deal

It looks set to be a busy week for Arsenal, who are looking to wrap up deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

But the Gunners are looking to get THREE deals done next week according to Henry Winter, who says they also want to complete a move for Cristhian Mosquera.

“Should be a good week for Arsenal,” said Winter on social media. “Madueke and Mosquera in. Gyokeres fee virtually agreed, just at the add-on debating stage, plus dealing with agent’s substantial cut (and Arsenal being strong on that point).

“Gyokeres obviously v keen to go to Arsenal (and will need a contrite farewell letter to Sporting). Maybe needs to have another word with his agent - get the deal done.”

Fenerbahce rule out move for Spurs midfielder

Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is being linked with a move away from Spurs and Fenerbahce have been credited with an interest in the midfielder.

Spurs want to sign a new midfielder this summer and there have been reports that officials from Fenerbahce had flown to London for talks over Bissouma.

But Fabrizio Romano claims there have been “no active talks” between Spurs and the Turkish club, who he claims are “focused on different targets”.

Garnacho rejects Al Nassr move

Alejandro Garnacho has rejected opportunity to pursue move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo's team had initial discussions with Garnacho but the Telegraph report the 21-year-old has prioritised a move to Europe.

Fabrizio Romano has gone one further and claimed Garnacho wants to stay in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest captain Ryan Yates has had his say on Tottenham’s move to sign Morgan Gibbs-White.

Spurs this week submitted a £60m bid for Gibbs-White but Nottingham Forest believe their efforts to sign the midfielder amount to an illegal approach.

The transfer saga looks set to rumble on and, while Spurs still confident of a deal, the deal is on hold for now.

Yates has said: “I feel as though that, until something is done, until a player signs on the dotted line for another club, it is just speculation. I don’t know what more to say on the Morgan situation, because it has all happened so quickly.

“As a player, you just accept it is a business. I do not know the ins and outs of what has happened, because it all happened so quickly. Morgan is a fantastic player and somebody who has been hugely influential for us in the Premier League. But this is football.”

Benfica target cut-price Joao Felix deal

Another player who looks to be on his way out of Chelsea is Joao Felix.

Benfica are in talks over a move for the 25-year-old and reports in Portugal claim they are eyeing a £21.6million deal.

A Bola say Benfica want a cut-price deal for a player they sold to Atletico Madrid for £113m in 2019.

Talks are continuing but Benfica are said to be keen to keep the transfer fee involved in any potential deal “under control”.

Chelsea set Nkunku price

Christopher Nkunku have set an asking price of over £30million for Christopher Nkunku, according to fresh reports in France.

Nkunku wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and has been linked with several clubs including Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

L’Equipe say Chelsea want €35m (£30.3m) for the 27-year-old, who is in the Blues squad at the Club World Cup.

PSG want Fulham ‘crown jewel’

Fulham face a fight to keep hold of the “crown jewel” of their academy, as Paris Saint-Germain and top Premier League clubs target England Under-17s captain Seth Ridgeon.

Ridgeon is considered one of the best young talents in the country and Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa are all keen on the midfielder.

TBR Football claim Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Ridgeon, who was not among the Fulham scholars to sign fresh terms last week.

The 36-year-old has signed three-year deal with the National League South club after leaving Bordeaux last month.

Carroll said: It doesn't matter the level, or anything, as long as I get on the pitch and play football, that's all that matters.

"Coming here and showing people I am just playing for the love of football rather than the money and the level is something I wanted to do.

Manchester United are eyeing a shock move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson could be on his way out of Chelsea following the signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Arsenal work on fresh Gyokeres deal

Arsenal are weighing up their next move after Sporting president Frederico Varandas said last night that they will not budge on their valuation of Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres has gone on strike to force through his move to Arsenal but Sporting are holding out for £60.5million up front for a move to go through.

The Gunners are now considering their next move as they look to finally wrap up a deal to sign the elite-level striker that Mikel Arteta has been targeting.

In a fresh update on the situation, Fabrizio Romano has said: “Gyokeres feels betrayed. He feels there was a pact for him to leave for €60m plus €10m in add-ons. He does not feel that pact is being respected.

“Arsenal offered €65m up front, so even more than Sporting asked for, but Sporting did not accept because they want at least €70m.

“There is still a tense situation. Arsenal are still working on the deal.”

Konate rejects new Liverpool deal

Ibrahima Konate has again turned down an offer of a new contract.

The Liverpool centre-back’s deal at Anfield expires next summer, but Marca are reporting that the Frenchman has rejected the Reds’ offer of an extension.

It might be a case of who blinks first in this transfer saga.

Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly made it clear he will not return to Sporting, effectively going on strike to force through a move to Arsenal.

Though it doesn’t appear that Sporting president, Frederico Varandas, is going to budge on his asking price for the striker.

As for Arsenal, it’s been reported that Mikel Arteta wants a deal wrapped up before they head off to Asia for their pre-season tour next weekend.

Guess the next few days and hours will be very telling.

Gibbs-White absent from Forest friendly

With Morgan Gibbs-White’s move to Tottenham on hold, many Spurs fans will have noticed the midfielder wasn’t in the Nottingham Forest squad for their pre-season friendly against Chesterfield earlier this afternoon.

A reason for his absence hasn’t been confirmed, but it could have something to do with having extra time off after playing for England at the end of last season.

DONE DEAL

Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Andy Carroll has agreed a deal to join Dagenham and Redbridge.

The 36-year-old, who played nine times for England, has made the switch to the National League South side on a three-year deal. Dagenham announced earlier on Saturday that they had been taken over by a Qatari consortium.

Carroll left Bordeaux last month following one season in the fourth tier of French football.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: "The level doesn't matter as long as I get on the pitch and play football.

"I have had clubs ringing me up, higher leagues, but it has to be the right fit and I need to be in control of what I want to do and not go somewhere because it is higher or there is more money involved.

"I know what will suit me and this is something I believe can be fantastic. There is a project in place, getting them back out of non-league and up the leagues. It is just a great place to be."

Sporting issue Gyokeres statement

Viktor Gyokeres will face disciplinary proceedings at Sporting after failing to report for training.

Whilst the majority of the Sporting squad began their preparations for the new season at the beginning of the month, Gyokeres was granted an extended holiday for his international commitments at the end of last season.

However, the Sweden striker was due to have returned to Sporting by now.

Kudus explains Spurs decision

Mohammed Kudus has explained why he only wanted to join Tottenham this summer.

Kudus became Spurs’ third major signing - after Mathys Tel and Kota Takai - under new head coach Thomas Frank as his £55m transfer from West Ham was finalised on Thursday.

In the announcement video on Tottenham’s official X account, formerly Twitter, a statement reads: “He only wanted Spurs. Welcome to North London, Mohammed Kudus.”

Anthony Elanga has spoken about his move to Newcastle.

The rest of the squad have left for the Algarve for a training camp in Lagos without their prolific striker.

According to ABOLA, the Arsenal-linked forward is now facing disciplinary proceedings from the club.

Henderson to join Brentford

Jordan Henderson is set to join Brentford as a free agent following his departure from Ajax, writes Sam Tabuteau.

The former Liverpool captain will join the Bees on a two-year contract until 2027, marking his return to the Premier League after two years.

The Telegraph report that a breakthrough in negotiations with Brentford is expected which would see Mbeumo join the squad before the pre-season tour of United States.

United have seen two bids rejected for Mbeumo, the last totalling £62.5million. Brentford have been holding out for a bigger fee after seeing United spend a similar sum on Matheus Cunha.

Grealish declares love for Man City

Jack Grealish has reiterated his love for Manchester City amid speculation linking him with a move away this summer.

Grealish is expected to be moved on after playing a bit-part role last season, prompting likes with the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham and others.

Madueke lands back in England ahead of Arsenal medical

Noni Madueke has landed back in England ahead of undergoing a medical with Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Chelsea winger has flown from the United States, leaving the Blues squad ahead of Sunday’s Club World Cup final, to finalise his move to the Gunners.

Madueke is set to become the second Chelsea player to join Arsenal this summer, after Kepa Arrizabalaga.

A deal worth £52million was agreed between the two clubs earlier this week.

Chelsea offered hope over Donnarumma deal

Chelsea have an interest in Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Ahead of the two teams facing each other in Sunday's Club World Cup final, L'Equipe have detailed the Blues' interest in Donnarumma - considered among the best, if not he best, goalkeepers in the world.

Donnarumma is in the final year of his contract at PSG, but is keen to sign a contract extension despite plenty of interest from elsewhere.

PSG have offered the goalkeeper a new contract, but it would represent a pay cut as a third of the deal is based on a "variable" such as amount of games played.

Douglas Luiz wants Tottenham move as West Ham lodge loan bid

West Ham are leading the race to sign Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus, despite interest from Tottenham.

Juventus are keen to offload the former Aston Villa midfielder, and are open to loan offer with an obligation to buy.

Gazzetta dello Sport report this morning that Luiz is keen to return to the Premier League, a year on from leaving in a deal worth £42.35m (50m), and West Ham is therefore an attractive proposition.

Juve are keen to recoup as much of their outlay as possible and have slapped a €40m price tag on Luiz, and are in negotiations with West Ham over a loan fee of €10m plus an obligation to buy for around €30m.

However, TBR Football add that Luiz would rather move to Tottenham, who are currently assessing the financials behind a move for the 27-year-old.

Spurs also reportedly hold interest in Joao Palhinha, whose move from Fulham to Bayern Munich a year ago has not worked out.

Manchester City have joined the race for Flamengo right-back Wesley.

With Kyle Walker leaving permanently in a shock move to Burnley, Pep Guardiola is on the look out for a new right-back.

Roma were in pole position to snap up the 22-year-old Brazilian, having agreed personal terms ahead of a bid worth around €25million.

But now City have entered the fold, which means Flamengo can create a bidding war as they look to get closer to €40m (£34m) for Wesley.

Tottenham now expect Cristian Romero to stay at the club this summer.

Atletico Madrid were keen to sign the player, and made no secret of their desire, but never mustered a bid and no talks are ongoing or expected.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, following The Athletic’s report that Atletico have decided to end their pursuit of the Argentina international.

Nicolas Jackson is not for sale, but is not considered untouchable by Chelsea, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Juve agree fee for Sancho

Juventus have agreed a €20million [£17.3m] deal with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho.

According to La Stampa, United were holding out for closer to £25m but have decided to relent on their demands in a bid to get the transfer flop out the door.

Chelsea did look at matching United’s asking price but Sancho refused to budge on his £350,000-a-week wage, meaning they pulled out of a deal.

It remains to be seen what wage packet Sancho would demands at Juve.

Manchester United may soon be welcoming two new top young talents to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon so far this summer, in addition to a move for Enzo Kana-Biyi, who has since been loaned to Lausanne in Switzerland.

Amid an ongoing stalemate over Bryan Mbeumo, United are in talks to sign teenage midfielders Seth Ridgeon and Tyrese Noubissie, according to The Athletic.

Arsenal to make Eze bid

Arsenal are not content with just Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke it seems as they also step up their interest in Eberechi Eze.

The Gunners were known to have made initial contact with the England midfielder’s camp last month as they explored the parameters of a potential transfer.

Per The Mirror, a formal approach to Crystal Palace is now expected after Arsenal held several rounds of talks with his agency CAA Base.

Madueke set for Arsenal medical

While there is evidently work to do on Viktor Gyokeres still, Arsenal are set to sign Noni Madueke very soon.

It emerged late on Thursday night that the Gunners had agreed a £52m fee for the England winger, who has also already agreed personal terms for a high-profile switch from west to north London.

Madueke is now poised to return to the UK from Chelsea’s Club World Cup camp in the United States this weekend in order to undergo a medical and formalise his move.

His imminent exit from Stamford Bridge was confirmed by Blues boss Enzo Maresca last night in his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s final clash with Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey.

Arsenal have still yet to agree the signing of Viktor Gyokeres.

It is almost a full week now since the news first broke that the Gunners were in advanced talks with Sporting over a deal for the prolific Sweden striker, having already settled on personal terms for a five-year contract.

However, progress has been slow again during these lengthy negotiations.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there remains a small gap in the two clubs’ respective valuations of a furious Gyokeres, who will apparently not turn up for pre-season training at Sporting at any point as he looks to force an exit.
