Arsenal are looking to beat Tottenham to Eberechi Eze and reports say they have a clean run at signing the Crystal Palace star – but they want to pay below his release clause. The Gunners continue to be linked with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, and it appears the latter is now pushing for a move to London. In the meantime, Arsenal have planned a medical for incoming Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard and agreed to pay above the release fee for Martin Zubimendi.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m and are negotiating with Brentford about Bryan Mbeumo, having submitted an improved offer. Sporting’s Gyokeres is also on their list of potential additions, while Ollie Watkins has latterly emerged as a target.
Florian Wirtz is now officially a Liverpool player after agreeing a record £116.5m deal for the German superstar, while Reds defender Jarell Quansah is set to go the other way in a £35m deal to join Bayer Leverkusen. Marc Guehi is on their wishlist to join from Crystal Palace with Alexander Isak a rumoured target.
Chelsea are set to sign Jamie Gittens after Borussia Dortmund accepted an offer of £55m for the former England Under-21s winger, who will have a medical, while the Blues have agreed to sign Brighton’s Brazil forward Joao Pedro.

Ollie Watkins emerges as Manchester United transfer target
10:30 , Harry Latham-CoyleWith the future of Rasmus Hojlund far from certain, and Viktor Gyokeres potentially pricey, Manchester United have made Ollie Watkins a transfer target, according to The Athletic. The Aston Villa striker showcased his goalscoring prowess last season even while bouncing in and out of Unai Emery’s starting side - and the club will surely not part with the England international for a small sum.

Arsenal complete permanent deal for Chloe Kelly
10:16 , Harry Latham-CoyleArsenal have completed the permanent signing of England international Chloe Kelly after a successful loan spell last season.
The Gunners have confirmed that the 27-year-old, who is currently on Euro 2025 duty with the Lionesses, has returned to the club at which she spent eight years earlier in her career "subject to the completion of regulatory processes" following the expiration of her deal at Manchester City.
Kelly, who it is understood has agreed a three-year deal, made 13 appearances under head coach Renee Slegers last season after joining on loan in January and picked up a Champions League winners' medal after victory over Barcelona in Lisbon.
Kelly said: "Putting pen to paper on a permanent contract at Arsenal is a standout moment for me. Learning from an incredible manager and continuing to build relationships with an excellent team is a journey I'm looking forward to continuing.
"I'm excited for more silverware at this special club and to bring more trophies back to north London to celebrate with our supporters.
"I've always said that Arsenal supporters are the best and to have them on my side singing my name means so much to me."

Southampton reject bid for Taylor Harwood-Bellis
10:15 , Mike JonesSouthampton have rejected a £19m bid from Porto for Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Saints will listen to offers for the centre-back but value the defender at more than Porto’s opening bid.
But they are looking for a higher fee for the player who cost them £15m from Manchester City a year ago.
Jarell Quansah completes move from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen
10:09 , Jack RathbornLiverpool have sold Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen.
The deal is official with the England defender now set for a new advaneture with the Germans.
The Reds will receive a fee in excess of £35m to boost their transfer funds, with another defender now likely before the end of the window.
Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi has been linked with Arne Slot’s side.
Jamie Gittens to have Chelsea medical after £55m offer accepted
10:00 , Jack RathbornJamie Gittens is set to have a medical at Chelsea after Borussia Dortmund accepted a £55m bid for the English winger.
The 20-year-old has agreed a seven-year contract and the clubs have no agreed terms after negotiations began before the Club World Cup.
Gittens, an England Under-21s international, moved to Dortmund in 2020 after coming through Manchester City’s academy.

Borussia Dortmund exploring deal for Chelsea starlet Josh Acheampong
09:50 , Harry Latham-CoyleBorussia Dortmund are exploring a deal for Chelsea's Joshua Acheampong, among a number of clubs monitoring his situation.
The 19-year-old has been seen by the Stamford Bridge hierarchy as a prospect for the future, but the defender is known to want more first-team opportunities in order to progress.
There is now a belief among suitor clubs that Chelsea may be willing to do business for £35m, having previously rejected approaches - including loans.
Man City begin Ruben Dias contract extension talks
09:37 , Jack RathbornManchester City have started talks with Ruben Dias over a new contract.
City hope to secure the Portuguese defender’s future for the coming years, with his current deal expiring in 2027.
And now the Mail reports the two parties will negotiate an extension ahead of his sixth season at the Etihad Stadium.
Juventus and Newcastle vie for Argentine defender
09:25 , Harry Latham-CoyleJuventus are also said to be exploring a move for Marseille defender Leonardo Balerdi - though face competition from Newcastle, according to the Daily Mail, as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his backline.
Juventus close in on Jonathan David
09:15 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt feels like just about every top-to-middling club in Europe has been linked with Lille’s Jonathan David over the last few years - but it appears it is Juventus who have finally captured the Canadian, with the striker set to sign for the Turin club on a free transfer following the conclusion of his contract in France.
The logic behind Man United’s recruitment that could solve their goalscoring crisis
09:05 , Richard JollyManchester United were not merely outscored by 15 other clubs in the Premier League last season. They were outscored – as a team, and amassing the combined efforts of the 31 players who took the field in the division for them, plus the two opponents who donated own goals – by a trio who could have formed their new front three.
United got 44 goals. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Liam Delap got 47 between them. Cunha has already joined United. Delap definitely won’t; they always thought Chelsea was a likelier destination and so it proved. But if the much-coveted Delap’s preference was for Stamford Bridge, Mbeumo, who has a similarly large group of admirers, has his heart set on Old Trafford. A second bid of around £60m has been rejected, but Mbeumo could join Cunha in a forward line Ruben Amorim has acquired more than inherited.
Tottenham target Mohammed Kudus
08:50 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt is 14 years now since Scott Parker left West Ham for Tottenham in the last direct dealing between the two rival London clubs - but if The Telegraph are to be believed, there could yet be another player skirting northward around the city. Mohammed Kudus is said to be a top target for Thomas Frank as he seeks to add attacking talent to his squad after a blow in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.

Brentford chief provides update on Bryan Mbeumo future
08:40 , Harry Latham-CoyleBrentford director of football Phil Giles has said that it is “not impossible” that Bryan Mbeumo yet remains at the club this summer despite strong interest from Manchester United. Two bids have been rejected for the forward, and Giles has told the BBC that little progress had been made on a deal.
"He had a fantastic season," Giles said. "We expected big interest in him, we have had big interest in him.
"He has his ideas about where he wants to take his career. He is well within his rights to do that.
"It is not impossible he is still a Brentford player next season if we agree he is going to stay."

Liverpool give Bayern firm response over Luis Diaz
08:29 , Jack RathbornThe Colombian winger could follow in the footsteps of Sadio Mane, who made the move from Anfield to the Allianz Arena.
But Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl has been told by the Reds Diaz is not for sale.
Arsenal plan Norgaard medical
08:20 , Harry Latham-CoyleChristian Norgaard, meanwhile, will become an Arsenal player and a medical is being booked in for the Brentford captain.
The Gunners will pay up to £15m for the midfielder including a £10m fee and a further £5m in potential add ons.

Arsenal sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea
08:10 , Harry Latham-CoyleOne player is definitely making the move from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates: Kepa Arrizabalaga has been brought in to back up David Raya as Arsenal bolster their goalkeeping options.
Arsenal submit Noni Madueke offer
08:00 , Harry Latham-CoyleNoni Madueke emerged as an alternative Arsenal target earlier in the window, and Sky Germany now suggest that a bid has already been submitted for the Chelsea winger. The Independent has reported that Chelsea want a fee in the region of £50m for the England international, which may not be a price that their London rivals wish to pay.
Potential Marc Guehi replacement emerges for Crystal Palace
07:50 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt appears Crystal Palace may be contingency planning if Marc Guehi does leave. A Bola, the Portuguese outlet, suggest a £47m agreement has been reached for Ousmane Diomande, who was a key part of the best defence in the Primeira Liga with Sporting last season.

Liverpool continue pursuit of Marc Guehi...
07:40 , Harry Latham-CoyleLiverpool’s busy window looks set to continue with Arne Slot now hot in pursuit of a new centre-half. Marc Guehi appears to be the top candidate to become Virgil van Dijk’s new defensive partner with the future of Ibrahima Konate in doubt and Jarell Quansah bound for Bayer Leverkusen.

Arsenal lead Eberechi Eze race over Tottenham
07:30 , Jack RathbornArsenal are also still chasing Eberechi Eze. Fabrizio Romano reports that they are right in the mix to sign the Crystal Palace and England star, and still keen on a deal which could cost £85m.
Eze is reportedly interested in accepting a move to Arsenal, though the Athletic report the 27-year-old is among the options being considered, though no contact has been made yet with Crystal Palace.
The Gunners lead the race as no other club has the same level of interest currently, including Tottenham.

Arsenal close in on Viktor Gyokeres
07:20 , Harry Latham-CoyleThere is big news coming out of Paris, with L’Equipe suggesting that Viktor Gyokeres has informed Sporting CP of a desire to leave Lisbon for London and a move to Arsenal. Gyokeres has widely been reported to have told his Portuguese employers that he wishes to leave this summer, and it appears Mikel Arteta’s side are his preference.
