Ann-Margret, 84, Makes Rare TV Appearance and Shares 2 Secrets for Her Dance Moves
More than six decades after she first wowed moviegoers, Ann-Margret still has all the right moves.
The two-time Academy Award nominee, 84, made a rare public appearance June 28 at Project Angel Food’s Lead With Love fundraiser in Los Angeles.
Video of her with “Will & Grace” star Eric McCormack during the telethon on Los Angeles’ KTLA appeared on Ann-Margret’s Instagram page, as well as the pages for the station and Project Angel Food.
The “Viva Las Vegas” and “Bye Bye Birdie” star got a rousing round of applause as she walked onto the set toward McCormack.
“I was telling you before I have a lot of male friends that are very, very jealous of me tonight because I get to stand with you,” McCormack said, alluding to her sex symbol status.

He then mentioned how Ann-Margret, who was born in Sweden, rose to fame and won over fans with her dancing.
“Obviously, your ‘60s dance moves captivated the world,” McCormack said. “They called you the female Elvis. You changed how a generation hit the dance floor, and now you’re a TikTok sensation. So, where do those incredible moves come from, Sweden? Does everyone in Sweden dance like that?”

“My heart and my seat,” she replied with a laugh, as she gently touched her posterior.
Fans certainly loved seeing Ann-Margret.

“BEAUTIFUL! SHE STILL CAPTIVATES THE WORLD! LOVE YOU ANN-MARGRET! XX,” someone else raved.
“She looks wonderful!!😊❤️,” another fan wrote.

“Ann-Margret, A legend whose talent and beauty continue to shine brightly ✨,” someone else gushed.
Ann-Margret is an icon whose life is in the works to become a movie, with Lindsay Lohan attached to play her.
“We’re working on the story,” Lohan told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” in November 2024. “It’s exciting.”
“It has to be the way that she wants it to be, so I really want it to be special in that way,” she added.
