Lake Fork, located at Wood, Rains, and Hopkins counties, is known for being one of the top bass lakes in the U.S. According to the article, Lake Fork has the Texas state record for Largemouth Bass, as well as the next five heaviest catches in the state. Other fish in the lake include Channel Catfish, Crappie, and Bluegill.
Toledo Bend Reservoir, located on the Sabine River between Texas and Louisiana, is also popular among bass anglers and hosts several prestigious tournaments annually. The article states the most dominant fish in Toledo Bend is the Largemouth Bass.
The lake also has crappie and plenty of catfish.
Only one other lake in Texas ranked among the 18, Lake Texoma along the Texas-Oklahoma border.
