Las Vegas could see stormy weather, gusty winds

Scattered regional showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast again Friday!

The threat of flash flooding will be possible in areas where storms develop, along with sudden gusty winds.

TODAY: Moisture in place will lead to another day of active weather around the region. Storm chances will begin before midday, mainly in the mountains with storms becoming more scattered this afternoon.

Expect mostly sunny skies in Las Vegas with high temperatures around 98 degrees. A chance of storms will be possible again today with the best odds of active weather in the mountains with better storm chances in the valley during the afternoon. Winds will be out of the south, up to 10 mph, becoming stronger where storms form.

Air quality is ranked 'good' today with 'good' to 'moderate' pollen levels. The most common pollen right now in the valley is weed pollen.

TONIGHT: Storm chances will continue through the evening commute, tapering up around sunset, which is 7:56 p.m. Skies will be mostly clear overnight with valley low temperatures dropping to 83 degrees. Temperatures will fall to the upper 70s on the edges of town with winds out of the southwest, up to 10 mph.

WHAT'S NEXT: Slight storm chances will linger on Saturday with the best odds of unsettled weather in the mountains with an outside chance, 10% odds of active weather in Las Vegas/Henderson.

Drier air will start moving in next with breezes picking up slightly on Sunday with wind gusts around 20-25 mph. Daytime valley highs will be back in the triple-digits this weekend and remain in the triple-digits through the start of next week.
