Jessica Simpson Adds Boho Flair to Her Slinky Neon Orange Slip Dress
Simpson stepped out in NYC wearing a bold lingerie-inspired look.
The singer stepped out wearing a neon orange silk slip dress, pairing it with a velvet tie-dye bomber jacket and one of Valentino's studded Nellcôte totes. Simpson also accessorized with crystallized sunglasses, completing her outfit with large hoop earrings, a stack of rings, and a long diamond necklace.
On Wednesday, Simpson revealed that she's ready to date again following her split from Eric Johnson. After ten years of marriage, People confirmed her separation from the former football player in January.
Speaking with Jenna Bush Hager on Today, Simpson said that she's still “slightly terrified” of getting back out there, though Bush Hager offered to set her up with someone. “Please!” Simpson responded enthusiastically.
When it comes to what she’s looking for, Simpson revealed that her "type of person is one-of-a-kind."
"I just like for somebody to be individually who they are and exude confidence without the ego," she shared.
This type of man, Simpson admitted, might be “hard to find”—but she’s still determined to find love: “I feel like it’s out there, and I don’t need somebody to be supportive of me all the time,” Simpson added. “I feel like the independence I have right now, if I can have that and give it to someone else, that would be cool.”
Simpson and Johnson, who played for the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, share three children: Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie.
As for marrying a third time, Simpson told Bush Hager she wasn’t interested in that, but that she is “very passionate” and has “a lot to give,” she said, before jokingly adding, “I feel like I’m on a dating app.”
