Full Tour of Scarecrow: The Reaping Haunted House at Universal Horror Unleashed - Las Vegas

WDWNT had the opportunity to experience each of the four haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, which is now officially open to the public.

Each of the four walk-through experiences is based on previous Halloween Horror Nights houses, although updated. The Scarecrow: The Reaping house is described as follows:

This isn’t just a haunted house, it’s a cursed harvest. As you make your way through fog-choked cornfields, the air grows heavy and still. But you’re not alone. Twisted scarecrows lurk in the shadows, emerging from the mist-covered cornrows—silent, soulless and always watching. Every rustle in the stalks could be your last warning.

Scarecrow: The Reaping

There is a holding area outside the farmhouse and barn, which are realized as full facades. The house’s holding rooms have audio and video that add to the story. Scarecrow’s dust bowl story about the Earth taking revenge has been upgraded with a “fully realized dust storm.” Also adding to the theming is a dusty old truck parked in front of the facade.

After walking through the “exterior” queue, guests enter the old farmhouse and are greeted immediately by an animatronic jump scare followed closely by a scareactor swinging a weapon.

After walking through parts of the house with several scareactor interactions, we emerged into the cornfield where a dark scarecrow was waiting.

Through the field and into the dilapidated barn, there are pigs and other zombie-like scarecrows around each corner.

Near the end, guests exit back out through the corn field while facing several more scarecrow scareactors hiding among the stalks.

There are four total houses: Scarecrow: The Reaping, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Universal Monsters, and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer.  We have a full list of merchandise from the new event and a look at the full menus from Premiere House, the Blumhouse-themed table service restaurant.

Tickets range in price from $59 to $99. There are tickets with one-time access to each house, including a discounted option for Nevada residents, and tickets with unlimited access to the houses on the selected date.
