There's a body — Mr. Boddy's body. And it's cold, much like the case of who did him in. Was it Miss Scarlett, in the library, with the revolver? Professor Plum, in the kitchen, with the knife?
Find out "whodunit" by taking part in "CLUE: A Walking Mystery," in which amateur sleuths hunt for hints hidden at various sites in the Short North. The interactive experience is held on select days through June 15.
Also running through June 15, the Actors' Theatre of Columbus' production of "Emma" takes a funny, feminist approach to the classic Jane Austen novel.
Combustion Brewery & Taproom also dives into spring with three simultaneous events. The Pickerington and Clintonville lager fests will run the same hours from May 23-25, and the Clintonville Spring Flea will offer shopping, food and music on May 24.
Author Grady Hendrix will bring horror and humor to his book release, discussion and signing on May 28. A book sale will accompany the event.

Actors' Theatre to put humorous spin on Austen's 'Emma'
Too clever for her own good, Emma plays matchmaker for everyone around her but can’t seem to find a partner for herself. Kate Hamill captures the wit, language and charm of Jane Austen's "Emma" in this hilarious, feminist adaptation of her classic.
The Actors’ Theatre of Columbus will stage the production at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through June 15 at the Schiller Park Amphitheater, 1000 City Park Ave.
Blankets, ground-level loungers and zero-gravity loungers can be reserved in advance online.

Play detective and solve a murder in "CLUE: A Walking Mystery," which will be offered Thursdays through Sundays through June 15 by CAPA and the Short North Arts District.
'CLUE' to give players a chance to slay at solving a murder
The trail for Mr. Boddy's killer has gone cold and it's up to you to crack the case in "CLUE: A Walking Mystery," an interactive, immersive experience being offered by CAPA and the Short North Arts District through June 15.
The search takes place in multiple locations in the Short North, where "detectives" will be greeted by the butler, then sent to gather clues around the neighborhood and solve the mystery.
Start times are available from 5-7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The game is recommended for ages 8 and older, with an adult accompanying all minors.
Columbus Moving Picture Show to screen vintage films
The Columbus Moving Picture Show will showcase 16mm films, including silent movies and a spotlight on W.C. Fields, from May 22-25 at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North, 6500 Doubletree Ave.
The event also will include seminars, book signings and more than 100 dealers with movie memorabilia including original posters, stills, pressbooks, films, DVDs and Blu-rays, books, records, dolls and more.
Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 22, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 23-24 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 25. Films may continue to run after the dealer floor has closed. A schedule is available online.
Tickets, which will be sold at the door, cost $30 for a single day and $85 for four days. Those under 18 are free when accompanied by an adult. (columbusmovingpictureshow.com)
Combustion Brewery to host lager fests at both locations
As the weather warms up, Combustion Brewery & Taproom will help you cool down with several events at its Clintonville and Pickerington locations.
Running concurrently, the Clintonville Lager Fest, 2971 N. High St., and the Pickerington Lager Fest, 80 W. Church St., Suite 101, will be held from 11 a.m. to midnight May 23-24 and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 25.
Clintonville festivalgoers can also browse the Spring Flea, an outdoor market with food, music and vendors taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 24.

'Carmina Burana' to be presented in dance with live music
Though inspired by 13th century clergymen's poetry, Carl Orff composed "Carmina Burana" for entertainment instead of sacred purposes. The poems included religious verses, bawdy drinking songs, pastoral lyrics and satires of church and government.
With new choreography, live singers, musicians and guest dancers, Oyo Dance Company will perform "Carmina Burana" at 7:30 p.m. May 23-24 in the Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long St.

Comedian, reality show judge and sitcom star Ms. Pat's will stop at Columbus Funny Bone for three shows running May 23-24.
Ms. Pat to bring brass and sass to Columbus Funny Bone
Ms. Pat, star of two BET hit series, will let her no-holds-barred humor loose at Columbus Funny Bone, 145 Easton Town Center, where she will perform three shows.
The comedian, who came to the Southern Theatre in 2024, can be seen holding court in the reality show "Ms. Pat Settles It" and holding down a family in the sitcom "The Ms. Pat Show," which will return with new episodes in the fall.
Performances will be at 9:45 p.m. May 23 (doors open 9:15 p.m.), 6:30 p.m. May 24 (doors open 5 p.m.) and 9:15 p.m. May 24 (doors open 8:45 p.m.). The show is open to those 21 and older.

Write Now Columbus will host its fourth annual Ohio Authors Book Fair on May 24 at the Wagnalls Memorial Library in Lithopolis.

Scheduled authors include Stephanie Ayers, Penny Frost McGinnis, Jane Ries, Amba Elieff, Mary Mars, Terri Lott, Brooke Adams, Kathryn Haueisen, Raymond Eichenberger, Steven Basford, Lynk Noir, Jay Willis and Charles O'Donnell.

Sunday at Central to close season with folk-inspired program
Folk-inspired works such as Béla Bartók’s “Contrasts,” which is based on Hungarian and Romanian dance melodies, will highlight Sunday at Central's last concert of its 2024-25 season at 3 p.m. May 25 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St.
The program will feature Mariko Kaneda (piano), David Thomas (clarinet) and Jeffrey Myers (violin). Sunday at Central concerts are recorded and can be watched later at youtube.com/sundayatcentral.
The concert is recommended for ages 9 and older. Seating is first-come, first-served.

The Westerville Public Library will host a book launch, talk and signing by Grady Hendrix on May 28 at Villa Milano.
Author Grady Hendrix to share dark humor at book launch
Part meet-and-greet, part one-man show, author Grady Hendrix's upcoming visit will be anything but a run-of-the-mill book signing as he celebrates his latest book, "Witchcraft for Wayward Girls."
Hosted by the Westerville Public Library, the author's talk, with ASL interpretation, will begin at 7 p.m. May 28 at Villa Milano, 1630 Schrock Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. A book sale hosted by The Book Loft will follow at 8 p.m., along with a book signing.

Peter Hook, co-founder of '80s groups Joy Division and New Order, will perform with his band, The Light, on May 28 at The Bluestone.
Peter Hook to reel in fans of Joy Division, New Order
The post-punk and new wave hits of Joy Division and New Order will be revisited when the bands' co-founder Peter Hook comes to The Bluestone, 583 E. Broad St., at 7 p.m. May 28.
Hook and his current band, The Light, will perform New Order's album "Get Ready" in its entirety, as well as seminal tracks from the Joy Division and New Order catalogs.
Joy Division is known for "Love Will Tear Us Apart," while New Order's hits include "Blue Monday," "True Faith" and "Bizarre Love Triangle."
