Meghan Markle Shares Rare Close-Up Photos of Archie and Lilibet

A new mood board shared by Meghan for her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry contains some of the most intimate photos of their kids she’s ever shared.

• Since relaunching her Instagram on January 1, Meghan Markle has frequently shared photos of her kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
• In most of the photos, though, the kids are seen only from the back or from the side.
• In a new mood board post shared to mark her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry on May 19, the Duchess of Sussex shared the most intimate photos yet of her kids while celebrating her love story with Harry.

To celebrate her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Prince Harry on May 19, Meghan Markle gave those interested in her life a spoil of riches in the form of a mood board featuring never-before-seen photos of not just Harry and Meghan but also their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are typically photographed only from the back or side (likely for privacy reasons).

Sure, there were plenty of loved up photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the anniversary post, from the early days of their relationship in 2016 up until the present day, nearly a decade later. But the many photos of the kids were also noteworthy—although understandable, as they are very much a part of their love story.

A photograph of Archie’s ultrasound is right next to a photo of Harry cupping Archie’s face in his hands on his birthday, May 6, 2019. Also nearby those photos is a photo of a very pregnant Meghan in a sports bra, presumably with Archie, though it doesn’t specifically say whether she is pregnant with Archie or Lilibet in the photo.

Further down the mood board, there is a full on photo of a baby that appears to be Archie, and below that a photo of Archie and Lilibet sweetly kissing one another. On the far left side of the mood board are two photos the public has grown accustomed to—photos of the kids from the back and from the side.

In the middle of the mood board is a photo of Harry and Meghan with Archie and Lilibet, who appear to be painting pumpkins. Two other photos show the family on a beach.

“Seven years of marriage,” Meghan wrote alongside the images. “A lifetime of stories.”

“Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story—we appreciate you,” she continued. She signed off, “Happy anniversary!” alongside a red heart emoji.

Of motherhood, Meghan told People in March, “When your children get to a certain age—when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again—it’s super joyful.”

“As a woman, a mom, and a wife, to be able to find yourself again—in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older—is a wonderful feeling,” she added about life raising Archie, who just turned 6, and Lilibet, who is quickly approaching her fourth birthday on June 4.
