Even Princess Kate Loves a Chunky Gold Chain Necklace

Princess Catherine can just as easily pull off a ball gown and a diamond tiara as she can an easy and relatable look. This morning, she did the latter.

The Princess of Wales looked sharp in a fitted cerulean suit as she visited the V&A East Storehouse in London—a purpose-built museum that offers free access to the public.

Kate’s suit was composed of a structured blazer and matching straight-leg pants, both with a slight sheen. For footwear, she slipped into her go-to shoes: suede pumps in navy. But the princess went more low-key and relatable with the rest of her ensemble.

Under the blazer, Kate wore a simple white T-shirt. She cinched her pants with a black leather belt with a golden buckle. And for jewelry, she wore dangly gold earrings adorned with colorful stones, plus a chunky gold chain necklace—all of these being pieces that most of us have in our closets and wear regularly.

“Celebrating the joy of of creative opportunity and craft at the V&A East Storehouse. Great to see these incredible collections are now accessible to everyone, allowing us to enjoy our nation’s exceptional talent and history,” Kate—who is a patron of the V&A—wrote on her and Prince William’s X account following the inspiring visit.

She included two photos in the post, both of herself admiring the museum alongside Tristram Hunt, the director of the institution.
