LIVE – Updated at 17:19

The transfer window has shut after a mini opening ahead of the summer’s Club World Cup. The window will re-open on 16 June and clubs are continuing to make deals in the interim.

There have been plenty of moves already in the Premier League with Matheus Cunha, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jeremie Frimpong, Liam Delap, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki among the biggest names to switch clubs.

Arsenal hope to bring in Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Arteta has made RB Leipzig striker, Benjamin Sesko, their No 1 target for a striker.

Chelsea have been rebuffed in their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens though remain interested in signing him while Liverpool, who have already brought in Jeremie Frimpong, are making plans for a Florian Wirtz medical after preparing a fourth bid of £118m.

Over in Manchester, United have secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m, and are negotiating with Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo with Viktor Gyokeres also on the list of wanted strikers while Manchester City have signed Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and Lyon’s Rayan Cherki.

Tottenham to go in for Brentford's Christian Norgaard?

17:19 , Ella Witcher

Tottenham fans are eagerly awaiting the expected announcement of Thomas Frank as their new head coach following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou last week.

And even though confirmations are still yet to be made by the club, speculation is circulating over who the Brentford manager may poach from his old side.

According to GiveMeSport, Frank sees Christian Norgaard as a key part of his Brentford success. The pair have a well-established relationship, having worked with each other at Brondby, and also through the Danish youth system.

However, if Tottenham are to proceed in their quest for the Brentford captain, they will have to face fierce competition in the forms of Everton, Fulham and Bournemouth.

Liverpool 'plan' Wirtz medical

17:15 , Mike Jones

The Standard claim that Liverpool are planning a medical for Bayer Leverkusen winger Florian Wirtz and that it could happen this week.

The Reds have seen three bids for the attacker turned down already with a fourth, and reportedly final, offer worth £118m and possible rising to £127m being prepared.

Sky Germany report say things could move “very quickly”, with a full agreement “very close” and a medical possible.

Matheus Cunha reveals emotional reason behind Manchester United transfer

16:51 , Mike Jones

Manchester United have made their first summer signing and the biggest buy of Ruben Amorim’s reign as Matheus Cunha’s £62.5m move to Old Trafford has been completed.

The Brazil forward, who said he was a boyhood United fan from watching them in his grandmother’s home, has signed a five-year deal, with the club possessing an option to extend his stay until 2031.

They had triggered his release clause at Wolves and were waiting for the 26-year-old to return from international duty to finalise the move.

David wants new club soon

16:34 , Mike Jones

Lille striker Jonathan David wants to secure a new club as soon as possible.

Officially a free agent this summer David has been linked with moves to England, Italy and Spain.

He said: “I want a club with ambition that wants to do something. Obviously, I would love to fight for titles, to win titles.

“A team that’s competitive, that has ambition, really, with a good sporting project.

“I don’t know what the future is going to look like, but I think it’s exciting to just know that you’re going to have a new challenge.

“I obviously want to get something done before pre-season starts so I can get settled and have that pre-season time with my team.”

Arsenal in the market for a left-back?

16:25 , Mike Jones

I know it sounds crazy but Mikel Arteta might buy another left-back.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have made calls for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues want more back up for Marc Cucurella who is the only attack-minded option while, the Gunners have lost Kieran Tierney on a free transfer and Oleksandr Zinchenko is being linked with a move away.

That would leave them a bit slim in defence and Arteta is known to like a left-back or two in his squad.

Robertson on Florian Wirtz

16:17 , Mike Jones

Andy Robertson has spoke about Florian Wirtz who is rumoured to be on the way to Liverpool for a record breaking fee this summer.

"He was excellent against us. He was the one causing problems, in the half space, running in behind, he can mix it up," Robertson said.

"That was enough for me to see he’s going to be a top player. In the Germany team against us he was excellent. If we get him through, an exciting talent through the door.

“We have already got a lot of exciting talent. He’s a right good player and he’ll only help us. If he does get through the door we’ll be excited to play with him."

Ekitike price revealed

16:08 , Mike Jones

Eintracht Frankfurt will not drop below their asking price for striker Hugo Ekitike.

Interested parties like Liverpool and Chelsea have been told to pay €100m for the 22-year-old striker.

“If the price isn’t right, then he’ll just stay with us. We don’t have to sell Hugo,” said Frankfurt CEO Markus Krosche.

Andy Robertson unsure of Liverpool future as club rebuild continues

16:00 , Richard Jolly

Andy Robertson has admitted he is unsure what his future at Liverpool holds as the Premier League champions try to sign Milos Kerkez, but revealed he has been in talks with the club about his own situation.

Liverpool are interested in the Hungary international left-back, who Bournemouth value at £45m, as they continue their summer rebuilding

Arsenal face Sesko hurdle

15:48 , Mike Jones

To Arsenal now, and RB Leipzig are currently holding firm on receiving the full release clause for striker Benjamin Sesko, a figure which is now understood to exceed £65m.

Mikel Arteta has long-standing interest in the 21-year-old, having been pursuing him for well over a year, and has emerged as the top target this summer. Sesko wants to go to Arsenal and is energised by the prospect, with personal terms seen as no issue.

The primary issue right now is between the clubs. With some Leipzig contract terms having been activated over this season, Sesko's release clause has risen.

The German club are currently determined to get full value, although that is offset by buying clubs being aware they are under greater pressure to sell than usual, due to a failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Man City agree £12.5m fee for Norwegian wonderkid dubbed ‘next Odegaard’

15:44 , Richard Jolly

Manchester City have agreed a £12.5m fee to sign the Norwegian teenager Sverre Nypan.

The Rosenborg midfielder, who has been compared to Martin Odegaard, is expected to join and become City’s fifth signing of a busy summer.

City’s plan is to send the 18-year-old, who has been offered a five-year contract, out on loan to get first-team experience.

Manchester City have agreed a £12.5m fee for Norwegian teenager Sverre Nypan.

The 18-year-old is expected to become City’s fifth signing of the summer window but will be sent out on loan to gain some first team experience.

He was named the Young Player of the Year in the Norwegian league for both 2023 and 2024.

Son speaks out on his future

15:40 , Mike Jones

The Europa League winning captain of Tottenham Hotspur has provided an update on his future.

"I still have one more year left on the contract,” he said.

"Rather than saying anything at this moment, I think we should all wait and see what happens.

“But no matter where I end up, I will always do the best I can. It will never change."

Why Frank is exactly the right manager for Tottenham

15:32 , Mike Jones

It is the kind of story that has got around the Premier League, and explains why so many wealthy clubs have considered Thomas Frank. Earlier this season, the Brentford coach was having a chat with Fabian Hurzeler, and enthusing about Brighton’s style of play.

“I’d love to play like this,” Frank said, before smiling. “I’d need another £100m, though.”

Spurs on verge of announcing Frank

15:25 , Lawrence Ostlere

Tottenham are on the verge of appointing Thomas Frank as their new manager but will need to overcome one more obstacle to get a deal over the line.

Brentford boss Frank was quickly made Spurs’ top target following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou on Friday, with the club opting to cut ties with the Aussie despite Europa League success, leading the club to a first trophy in 17 years.

There is a growing confidence that the Dane will be the man to replace Postecoglou after positive discussions took place over the weekend.

Nearly all details have been agreed over the move to North London, but the matter of compensation is yet to be finalised, with Brentford holding out for £10m to let Frank out of his contract two years before its expiry in 2027.

Donnarumma not moving this summer

15:16 , Mike Jones

Gianluigi Donnarumma looks set to stay at PSG next season, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Inter Milan.

Donnarumma, who began his career at AC Milan, has solidified his reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the world at Paris Saint-Germain, helping them to their first Champions League crown with a string of memorable saves in each round.

Bournemouth move for Kerkez replacement

15:07 , Mike Jones

Liverpool are moving closer to signing Milos Kerkez, after Bournemouth agreed a deal to sign French left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes as his replacement.

The 23-year-old Truffert has been a regular starter for Rennes since breaking through as a 17-year-old, and has one senior international cap for France.

Kerkez is meanwhile expected to move to Anfield for £45m, where he will compete with Andy Robertson for a starting berth.

Real Betis hope to extend Antony's stay

14:58 , Ella Witcher

Real Betis are in talks with Manchester Utd to bring Antony back on loan for the 2025/26 season, this time with a £35m option to buy, according to the Daily Mail.

The move comes after the 25-year-old’s rejuvenation in la Liga this season.

The Brazilian enjoyed a productive loan spell, delivering 14 goal contributions in 26 appearances.

United originally invested £86m in Antony from Ajax in 2022, but he failed to meet expectations.

‘No formal decision’ on Michail Antonio future as West Ham striker continues recovery from car crash

14:47 , Mike Jones

West Ham are yet to make a formal decision on the future of Michail Antonio as the striker continues his recover from a serious car crash.

This is despite the 25-year-old being listed as a “free transfer” on the club’s retained list, which has been today been announced.

Antonio’s current contract is due to expire on June 30 and the Jamaica international is still sidelined after being involved in the crash in December, which left him with a broken femur.

West Ham still to make decision on Antonio

14:35 , Mike Jones

West Ham United are still to make a decision on Michail Antonio’s future after a serious road traffic accident in December required the striker to undergo surgery.

A club statement release on Monday read: "As a long-serving, highly-respected player, and a much-loved member of the West Ham family, the club’s absolute priority at this time is to support Michail personally in his journey to resume playing at the highest level."

Antonio’s contract runs out on June 30th and the club added: “There will be no formal decision and announcement on his future until such time that it is considered right and appropriate.

“However, as his current contract is also due to expire on 30 June, for the purposes of the Premier League Retained List procedure at the end of the 2024/25 season, Michail will be listed as a free transfer.”

Kendry Paez set fot Strasbourg loan after arriving at Chelsea move

14:27 , Jack Rathborn

Kendry Paez is set for a loan move to Strasbourg after his permanent deal to Chelsea kicked in.

The Ecuadorian midfielder is not in the Blues’ squad for the Club World Cup, meaning he will now finalise a loan deal to further his development and the transition to European football, having emerged at Independiente del Valle.

The 18-year-old joins Enzo Maresca’s side this summer in a €20m (£17.27m) deal, but Strasbourg will be the initial beneficiaries as he begins the next phase of his career.

Kostoulas to have Brighton medical

14:18 , Mike Jones

Olympiacos forward Charalampos Kostoulas is due to undergo a medical with Brighton on Wednesday.

The Premier League club are closing in on the signing of the 18-year-old.

Sky Sports News reports that Brighton had submitted a bid of £34m. The Greek champions are also asking for a sizeable sell-on clause.

Sporting boss responds to Gyokeres strike threat

14:09 , Ella Witcher

The Mirror says Sporting Lisbon boss Rui Borges has offered no response over the future of Viktor Gyokeres amid strike claims.

The Swedish forward has supposedly been left “furious” over Sporting increasing the asking price for his signature.

There are now claims that the 27-year-old could go on strike from the club in attempt to force a move away.

When asked about Gyokeres, Borges responded saying, “I’m on vacation. I’m not here to talk about that.”

Villa thinking hard about PSR breaches

13:57 , Mike Jones

Aston Villa are nearing the threshold of PSR and will have to be savvy with their summer transfer business according to Football Finance expert Kevin Maguire.

"I think of the 20 Premier League clubs, Villa are the ones who we're most concerned about," he said.

"Last season, when they did qualify for the Champions League, for every £100 of revenue that Aston Villa brought in, they spent £91 on wages. Those players will have had contract step-ups for qualifying for the Champions League.

"And remember, Villa have done very well in that competition. So that will be a plus. And they have sold some players as well, in both the last summer market and the January one.

"But I think there is still a perception that Villa will have to box clever. And of all of the clubs under pressure to sell players by June 30, I guess they're the ones who are the club that gives the most attention because their spending in the last couple of years before getting into Europe was so extensive."

Cochrane sticking with Frank

13:49 , Miguel Delaney

Earlier we reported that Brentford’s No 1 choice to replace Thomas Frank as manager was Justin Cochrane the Bees’ current head of coaching.

But it seems as though Cochrane will stick with his current boss and join Frank at Tottenham Hotspur should an deal be agreed between the two clubs.

It seems increasingly likely that Tottenham will get their man to replace Ange Postecoglou and Cochrane will remain a part of Frank’s backroom staff.

For Brentford, they also admire Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna but it is thought he is not interested in making that move.

Club World Cup, Saudi money, PSR and No 9s: The factors driving the summer transfer market

13:48 , Miguel Delaney

Over the three days around the Champions League final in Munich, in hotels like the £900-a-night Rosewood, a number of intense meetings were taking place.

Security was tight, agents and club representatives were trying to find secluded corners. They were so close to the transfer window that a certain discretion was needed. At least one big deal was struck.

For some in football, the regular season’s games have stopped so the real business begins. A strand of modern fans might feel the same.

They are likely to be very engaged over the next few months, because there is going to be a lot of activity.

13:39 , Ella Witcher

Sunderland and Leeds have enquired about Athletico Madrid defender Reinildo Mandava according to The Mirror.

The 31-year-old is set to leave the Spanish side following the Club World Cup.

The left-back has also had interest from Crystal Palace Nottingham Forest, but recently declined a formal offer to join the Premier League due to insufficient financial terms.

Lee Carsley ‘delighted’ for Liam Delap

13:30 , Mike Jones

England Under-21s boss Lee Carsley insists he is not disappointed in Liam Delap’s decision to go to the Club World Cup with Chelsea rather than the European Under-21 Championship.

“I’m definitely not disappointed. I’m delighted for Liam and his family.

“It’s a brilliant thing for an English centre-forward to play in the Premier League at such a prestigious club like Chelsea.

“Hopefully, he’ll do really well there and push for the senior team. We’ll move on. We’ve moved on quite quickly.

“We’ve always known that two or three of the players could move to clubs that were playing in the Club World Cup.”

Reijnders on signing for Man City

13:19 , Mike Jones

Manchester City's new signing Tijjani Reijnders spoke about what it means to play for the club and how it feels to play in the Premier League.

“Everybody knows it’s the biggest competition in the world,” he told Man City's official website.

“If you see last season how many clubs are playing against each other for the top places, the level is incredibly high. It’s a boy’s dream to play in the Premier League.

“Playing in the Premier League and at that intensity, I want to feel the energy.

“I think you have to think even quicker here, especially when you play for Man City the spaces are even smaller. So that’s where I want to develop more and I’m looking forward to it.”

Man City sign Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan in fourth summer transfer

13:09 , Richard Jolly

Tijjani Reijnders has joined Manchester City for an initial €55m (£46m) to give Pep Guardiola four signings this week.

The Netherlands international has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium and joins Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki as the new faces in Guardiola’s squad.

All four were signed in time for the Club World Cup and could make their City debuts in the United States.

Gittens named in Dortmund's Club World Cup squad

12:58 , Mike Jones

Jamie Gittens has been named in Borussia Dortmund's Club World Cup.

Chelsea had been desperately trying to sign the winger before yesterday’s deadline and will now focus on getting a deal done later this summer.

Should the Blues manage to sign Gittens before the end of the tournament in the USA he would still not be able to play for them.

That is because a player cannot be registered for two different clubs in the tournament.

12:46 , Mike Jones

"If you ask me today, yes,” the Three Lions boss replied when asked that question.

He added: "Because I feel I am in the right place. I enjoy where I am at the moment, I love the new challenge, I wanted the new environment.

“I feel the support of the people in the federation, I love the group of players, I want to push them and it just feels right.”

“It's an honour to be English head coach. I know what is coming after (the World Cup) - a huge tournament in England - I will always be tempted.

“I can tell you that even after the disappointing result yesterday."

12:14 , Mike Jones

Reports from CNN Portugal and Record claim that Arsenal’s higher ups met with Viktor Gyokeres’ representative, Hasan Cetinkaya, on Wednesday.

Now an official offer for the forward is set to come in which could hurt Manchester United’s chances of signing him.

12:11 , Mike Jones

Italy midfielder Jorginho has joined Brazilian side Flamengo ahead of this month's Club World Cup, following a mutual termination of his contract with Arsenal, both clubs said.

Jorginho, whose Arsenal deal was set to expire at the end of the month, has joined Flamengo on a contract until July 2028.

The 33-year-old Brazil-born Italy international moved to North London from Chelsea in January 2023, making 78 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal.

12:11 , Mike Jones

They had previously asked to be kept in the loop of his situatuon this summer but Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has ruled out a move.

He said: "Of course, there's always some kind of contact with Jadon because of the long history we share. But at the moment, Jadon is not a topic for us."

12:05 , Richard Jolly

Andy Robertson has admitted he is unsure what his future at Liverpool holds as the Premier League champions try to sign Milos Kerkez, but revealed he has been in talks with the club about his own situation.

Liverpool are interested in the Hungary international left-back, who Bournemouth value at £45m, as they continue their summer rebuilding

Where the Club World Cup will be won and lost – and why it matters more than you thin

12:03 , Miguel Delaney

It was on a call with Fifa and Club World Cup rivals that Manchester City’s Ferran Soriano was willing to reveal some of the team’s inner workings.

As long ago as August, City’s chief executive revealed how Pep Guardiola’s staff had been working on their physical programme to ensure the squad would be ready for the tournament in the United States.

Such changes might have been a factor in City’s underwhelming season, but the Club World Cup might change perceptions. An entire year may have been building to this.

Joao Felix heading out of Chelsea

11:49 , Mike Jones

Joao Felix's second spell at Chelsea seems destined for disappointment fter the Portugal international saw his squad number given to new arrival Dario Essugo.

The club are expecting quite a few exits this summer and Felix is likely to be near the top of the list after a tough loan at Milan.

De Bruyne heading to Napoli

11:40 , Mike Jones

Sky Sports’ Italian correspondents say that former Manchester City captain, Kevin De Bruyne, will be in Italy on Thursday to finalise his free transfer to Napoli.

The 33-year-old will undergo a medical and sign for the Serie A champions.

De Bruyne was vocal about his desire to remain at the top level of European football and will battle for the Italian and Champions League titles next season.

The Belgium captain scored the winner in a 4-3 victory over Wales on Monday proving his abilities have not waned too much with age and he will bring a wealth of winning experience to the Italian side.

De Bruyne has touched down in Rome and will undergo a medical later today.

A year ago, England finished their season a few minutes from going to extra time in the Euro 2024 final, agonisingly close to the second major trophy in their history.

A year and a day before the 2026 World Cup begins, and Thomas Tuchel’s time in charge will come to both its climax and end, their 2024-25 campaign finished with demoralising defeat to Senegal.

Justin Cochrane is Brentford's first choice

10:59 , Miguel Delaney

Justin Cochrane is Brentford’s first choice to replace Thomas Frank as head coach should the Dane sign a deal to move to Tottenham.

Cochrane is currently the Head of Coaching at Brentford and makes up part of Frank’s backroom staff.

Frank would like Cochrane to go with him should he depart for Spurs but the Bees board are also hopeful he will remain on.

Ipswich Town manager, Keiran McKenna, is also on the shortlist and there is hope a deal could be done here should Cochrane not work out. McKenna may hold aspirations to move to a bigger club however.

Newcastle and Burnley disagree on Trafford value

10:48 , Mike Jones

Newcastle are interested in signing Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, but an official deal is not close due to differing views on the goalie’s value.

The Daily Mail have reported that the Clarets have offered an initial asking price of £40 million, a value too high for the Magpies.

The 22-year-old keeper said he would be willing to join the North-East side side last summer, and with Nick Pope entering the final year of his contract, Eddie Howe is on the hunt for a new stopper.

It is hoped that a compromise will eventually be reached, but the transfer could take a long time to be finalised.

Billing to return to Bournemouth

10:40 , Mike Jones

Napoli are expected to reject the buy option in Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing's loan.

Antonio Conte's side are set to sign Yunus Musah as a replacement after verbally agreeing a deal worth around £21m (€25m) with AC Milan.

Billing joined Napoli on loan in January with an option to buy for £9m, but will return to the Cherries for their pre-season.

He has two years left on his contract with the Premier League club.

How Infantino embraced Trump and the Club World Cup as a political football

10:32 , Miguel Delaney

As Fifa put in final preparations for the big show to try and dazzle America, something is increasingly being said behind closed doors.

Figures within the federation openly talk about how the new Club World Cup will quickly become a biannual tournament, rather than every four years.

Despite sources telling TheIndependent that this is an “open secret”, Uefa is adamant it will stay at four. They state they have an agreement.

It is not, crucially, a legal agreement.

Liverpool name Darwin Nunez asking price

10:23 , Mike Jones

Liverpool are hoping to secure a fee of at least £59m to offload striker Darwin Nunez this summer.

The Uruguayan scored five goals in 30 matches this season and has underperformed since signing from Benfica for £85m in 2022.

The Reds are now prepared to take a £26m loss on their initial investment according to reports from TalkSPORT.

Their valuation is said to be based on a January bid received from Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, who offered £59m and is the minimum value they will accept to sell Nunez.

Modric heading to Milan

10:06 , Mike Jones

Luka Modric will be leaving Real Madrid at the conclusion of the Club World Cup and will be hoping to end his time at the Spanish giants in style.

Transfer insider, Fabrizio Romano, says that he will then make the move to Serie A and join up with AC Milan.

Chelsea walk away from Maignan deal

09:18 , Mike Jones

Chelsea will not be making a deal for Mike Maignan.

They were offered the goalkeeper from AC Milan and valued him at between €10m and €15m.

There was no official bid for the player but negotiations did not go well with the Blues never considering to pay more than their valuation.

They are happy with the goalkeepers in their squad and would have taken Maignan as a financially sound deal but are now looking to strengthen elsewhere.

Could Spurs join Bryan Mbeumo chase?

09:09 , Mike Jones

Bryan Mbeumo has already been the subject of a bid from Manchester United this summer - but could Tottenham emerge as suitors for the Brentford forward?

With Thomas Frank seemingly the top choice at Spurs to succeed Ange Postecoglou, the Mirror suggest that the manager may be keen to take Mbeumo with him across London if appointed.

Manchester United are considering making a second offer for Bryan Mbeumo but will have to raise their bid significantly to tempt Brentford to sell the forward.

United made a first approach of £45m plus a further £10m in add-ons for the 25-year-old, but it was not close to Brentford’s valuation of the attacker, who is priced in excess of £60m.

Thomas Tuchel says Jude Bellingham can be ‘repulsive’ and ‘intimidating’ in extraordinary comments

09:00 , Lawrence Ostlere

Thomas Tuchel has said Jude Bellingham’s behaviour can be “repulsive” during extraordinary comments made about his star player in a radio interview.

Speaking with talkSport in a wide-ranging conversation at St George’s Park, in the wake of a disappointing 3-1 defeat by Senegal in which Bellingham came on as a second-half substitute, Tuchel was asked whether he could understand why some fans think England would be better off without the 21-year-old in the team.

Dortmund reject Chelsea offers for Jamie Gittens

08:50 , Mike Jones

Borussia Dortmund have rejected Chelsea’s offer for winger Jamie Gittens.

According to a Sky Sports report, the Blues bid an initial €35m (£29.5m) which was rejected by Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund instead want closer to €50-60m (£42-£50m) for the 20-year-old.

The Blues are preparing to increase their initial bid but are in no rush no that the Club World Cup deadline has passed.

Grealish to move abroad?

08:42 , Mike Jones

Jack Grealish’s time as a Manchester City player looks to be coming to an end this summer.

There are rumours, substantial ones at that, that the winger will not be included in City’s squad for the Club World Cup. His game time has dropped as well this season and these are all signs he could be on the way out.

With Grealish keen to push for a place in England’s World Cup squad he wants regular time on the pitch and may need to leave the Premier League to get some.

The Sun report that Bayer Leverkusen are interested in bringing in the 29-year-old as a potential replacement for Florian Wirtz.

Wirtz seems sure to move to Liverpool once those negotiations are finalised and new Leverkusen boss, Erik ten Hag, is keen on Grealish.

According to the report, Man City would be asking just £40m for Grealish and Grealish is said to be open to moving on from City.

Arsenal have their man!

At least according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein who reports that Martin Zubimendi will be heading to the Emirates in time for pre-season after the Gunners and Real Sociedad have completed, and signed, a deal for his transfer.

There were rumours about Real Madrid possibly hijacking the move at the last minute but Ornstein says they were never actively pursuing a move for the midfielder.

Confirmation is still yet to come but this one looks very likely.

Inter explore £40m Hojlund transfer

If Viktor Gyokeres were to arrive at Old Trafford, United will need to offload one of their strikers – most likely Rasmus Hojlund.

The forward is reported to be frustrated with his season, which yielded only 10 goals from 52 appearances, and is thought to be interested in a return to Serie A after leaving Atalanta two years ago.

Inter have made serious enquiries for the 22-year-old in a transfer expected to worth around £40m to United.

Bournemouth agree deal for Truffert

08:17 , Mike Jones

Sky Sports News say that Bournemouth are prepared for life after Milos Kerkez should the defender leave the club this summer.

The Cherries have verbally agreed a deal with Rennes for left-back Adrien Truffert.

The fee is understood to be £10.1m, rising to £14.3m with add-ons.

But, the deal would only happen should Kerkez depart with Premier League champions Liverpool seen as the likeliest destination at this stage.

Truffert is expectated to undergo a medical to happen in the next few days but this one seems well placed.

Kerkez out, Truffert in.

Dortmund monitoring Jadon Sancho

07:52 , Mike Jones

Borussia Dortmund have asked to be kept in the loop regarding the future of Jadon Sancho.

Sancho has returned to Manchester United following his loan spell with Chelsea. The Blues decided not to take up their obligation to sign him permanently instead paying United £5m as a fee for refusing that option.

As such Sancho is back at Old Trafford for the time being but looks set to leave before the end of the window with Germany one of the more realistic options.

Sky Sports News’ Mark McAdam said: "Borussia Dortmund have asked to be kept in the loop with regards to Jadon Sancho.

“He had a very successful time at Dortmund before making the move to Man United, he also had a loan spell where he got to the Champions League final.

“We get the feeling his days at Old Trafford are coming to an end."

'Cherki can match Ozil'

07:44 , Mike Jones

Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry believes Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki can reach the same level as Mesut Ozil.

"This season, he has managed to raise his level," Henry said.

"I would put [Mesut] Ozil in a different category, but with time, Rayan can get close to him."

Where will Semenyo land?

It seems highly likely that Antoine Semenyo will be leaving Bournemouth in this window as their are plenty of clubs interested in taking him.

The latest are Tottenham with talkSPORT saying the north London side have been told it will take £70m to get a deal done.

The former Bristol City man has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United in recent months after a fine season on the south coast.

Man Utd dealt Gyokeres blow

07:29 , Mike Jones

Manchester United will not be able to purchase Viktor Gyokeres for £59m (€70m) after claims from Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas.

Previous rumours had seemingly revealed that Gyokeres had a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with the club that he would be allowed to leave this summer for a price lower than his £85m (€100m) release clause.

But, Varandas has squashed those rumours and with it probably Manchester United’s interest in signing the forward.

“I can guarantee that Viktor Gyokeres will not leave for €60m plus €10m because I never promised that,” Varandas said.

“To this day Sporting has not had an offer for Gyokeres — neither today nor last season.”

Man Utd considering swap deal for Osimhen

Manchester United have cast their eyes on Napoli outcast Victor Osimhen as they look to rebuild their forward line this summer.

Napoli want €70m (£63.5m) to sell the forward but United hope to reduce that figure.

They are reportedly willing to offer Joshua Zirkzee as a part exchange and the Serie A champions are apparently open to the idea.

Osimhen has rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in favour of playing in the Premier League and if the clubs can negotiate a compromise this could happen.

Liverpool 'plan' Wirtz medical

07:25 , Mike Jones

The Standard claim that Liverpool are planning a medical for Bayer Leverkusen winger Florian Wirtz and that it could happen this week.

The Reds have seen three bids for the attacker turned down already with a fourth, and reportedly final, offer worth £118m and possible rising to £127m being prepared.

Sky Germany report say things could move “very quickly”, with a full agreement “very close” and a medical possible.
