Real Madrid reject Gyokeres opportunity

The Sporting striker is said to have rejected Manchester United's interest to prioritise a move to Arsenal. However, a reported dispute between the player and Sporting has threatened any deal.

This leaves Juventus as a potential darkhorse, whilst Real Madrid were offered the chance to sign Gyokeres.

Madrid are in the market for a new striker to act as backup to Kylian Mbappe and someone who offers an aerial threat.

As reported by the Athletic, while the Swede may be liked by some at the Bernabeu, he is simply too expensive for what they want, therefore turning down the opportunity.

Grealish has to play

Pep Guardiola has overnight all but confirmed that Jack Grealish will leave Manchester City.

Speaking at a press conference in the United States ahead of their Club World Cup opener, which Grealish will not play, Guardiola said: “He had a conversation with the club and [we] decided [what was for] the best. Jack is an exceptional player. The only reason why he didn’t play last season is of course my decision.

“We decide that he has to play. The club was honest, he was honest. Incredible love and respect [for him] and we decide the best is to stay [behind] and have a place [at home] that he can feel like he can come back to be the player like he was in the year of the treble or all his career in Aston Villa.

“He has to come back to play and have the butterflies in his stomach that he can play every three days and show again the quality he has.”

Guardiola added: “If we don’t find [another solution], he’s a player for Man City and he will be back.”

Arsenal coach on the move

Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta is set to take charge as Parma’s new manager.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, with it claimed that the 29-year-old is on the verge of completing the move to Serie A club.

Talks with Arsenal are said to be at the final stages, with it expected that the Gunners will give the green light.

Aston Villa hold firm on Rogers

Aston Villa have no plans to sell Morgan Rogers this summer.

There had been speculation that the Englishman could be on the move, with Villa in a potentially difficult position with PSR.

Milos Kerkez to Liverpool is finally happening, folks.

The Reds have been locked in talks for weeks now over a deal for their ideal long-term left-back successor to Andy Robertson, who could yet be on his way to Atletico Madrid.

The two clubs have struggled to reach an accord over the fee, but talkSPORT claim this evening that a £40m deal will be finalised next week after the completion of a few remaining minor details.

Wirtz on holiday with Frimpong before Liverpool medical

Florian Wirtz has been on holiday with Jeremie Frimpong as he prepares to seal a huge transfer to Liverpool.

Wirtz is expected to fly in for a medical on Merseyside on Friday after a mammoth deal was finally struck with Bayer Leverkusen worth an initial guaranteed £100m plus a further potential £16m in add-ons, which if met would make it the most expensive signing in the history of British football.

Wirtz has been on holiday since Germany’s Nations League finals campaign on home soil last week, having already agreed personal terms with Liverpool as he prepares to finalise the move.

Frimpong has now posted a picture of the pair on vacation on a boat, with the Dutch defender having already sealed his own £29.5m switch from Leverkusen to Anfield as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s long-term right-back replacement.

Manchester United make positive progress on Mbeumo deal

Manchester United have made positive progress on a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, reports claim.

The Red Devils have already seen an offer for Brentford’s Cameroon forward rejected this summer, while Tottenham also appeared to enter the race last week after appointing Bees boss Thomas Frank as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement.

However, Mbeumo is still said to have a preference to move to Old Trafford, with Rudy Galetti reporting that there have been more positive talks held between United and Brentford, now said to be just a few million pounds apart in terms of a compromise on fee.

He says personal terms have already been agreed, with Mbeumo only interested in joining United despite Frank heading to Spurs.

Nico Williams open to Barcelona deal in Arsenal blow

Barcelona have emerged as the front-runners to sign Nico Williams in a blow to Arsenal.

The Gunners had been known to hold a long-standing interest in the Spain winger, who looks set to leave Athletic Club this summer.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich looked to have edged ahead in the transfer race over recent days, with journalist Ben Jacobs reporting that Williams is open to moving to the Camp Nou on a six-year contract worth a cool €12m per season.

However, Athletic are also said to remain eager to agree an extension with the 22-year-old, who remains under contract at San Mames until 2027.

Jamie Gittens holding out for Chelsea move

Jamie Gittens only has eyes for Chelsea this summer it appears.

The Blues last week saw an opening bid for Borussia Dortmund’s England Under-21 winger rejected ahead of the first transfer deadline before the Club World Cup.

However, Chelsea have not given up on a deal that could reportedly yet cost them in the region of £50m, having already agreed a seven-year contract with Gittens.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old is not entertaining any other approaches while talks continue between the Conference League winners and Dortmund.

Arsenal 'admire' Anthony Gordon amid Rodrygo concern

Anthony Gordon is a player reportedly “admired” by Arsenal as they seek a new winger this summer.

The Gunners want to add a wideman to their squad in this window as well as a top-level striker and have been linked with a host of players including Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal do have interest in Rodrygo but a deal for the Brazil international is likely to be very expensive indeed.

They add that Newcastle and England winger Gordon is a player they admire domestically, but he certainly wouldn’t come cheap either.

Bayern ponder Eze swoop

Bayern Munich are pondering a swoop for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.

Vincent Kompany’s side are reportedly keen on adding the England attacking midfielder to their ranks, having already bought Michael Olise from Palace last summer.

Bayern even tried to poach Oliver Glasner from the south Londoners before they hired Kompany.

Reports claim that Eze is on Bayern’s shortlist after they missed out on Florian Wirtz, who is Liverpool-bound, with Eze having a £68million release clause in his Palace contract.

Milan and Maignan set for showdown

AC Milan will try and convince Mike Maignan to sign a new contract after talks with Chelsea collapsed.

The goalkeeper's current deal expires next summer and he was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League side.

Liverpool in line for Nunez cash injection

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is attracting interest from AC Milan and Napoli, according to reports.

The Uruguay international has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot since joining from Benfica in the summer of 2022.

Having turned down an approach from a Saudi Arabia side in January, an Anfield exit in the next couple of months seems likely with Milan and Napoli both vying for his signature.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Reds have set Nunez's asking price at £51m.

Gareth Southgate in line for shock management return

Former England manager Gareth Southgate has applied to become the new head coach of Poland’s national team, reports claim.

The 54-year-old has been out of a job since he stepped down as England manager last July following his side’s defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

Southgate led England to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals, the Euro 2020 final, the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals, and the Euro 2024 final.

Southgate was also considered a potential candidate for the Manchester United job in 2024 following Erik ten Hag's underwhelming start to the 2024-25 campaign.

Man Utd join race for Gabriel Sara

Manchester United have joined the race for Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara.

The Brazilian only signed for the Super Lig champions from Norwich last summer, but is said to be courting interest from Premier League clubs, including Manchester City.

However, according to Fotomac, Man Utd are monitoring the situation with Sara as they look to add to their midfield.

That said, the Turkish media outlet report Sara won’t come cheap and that Galatasaray will only listen to offers in the region of €30m (£25.5m).

Frank loses one of his closest allies

One of Thomas Frank’s closest allies will not be joining him at Tottenham.

Claus Norgaard was Frank’s assistant at Brentford and it was announced on Monday that he was leaving the Bees.

But Norgaard will not be following Frank from Brentford to Spurs like Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam and Joe Newton.

Explaining why he will not be moving to Spurs, Norgaard told Danish outlet Bold: “There were several things that came into play when Thomas moved to Tottenham. Personally, I couldn’t make it fit in that well.

There has been an update regarding Manchester United's reported pursuit of Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

Over the weekend, it emerged that the Italian is one of the names being considered by the Red Devils should they replace Andre Onana.

Brighton have strengthened again!

Italy international Diego Coppola becomes the club's second major signing of the summer window as he joins from Serie A club Hellas Verona on a five-year deal.

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler said, “Diego is an exciting addition for the club.

“Although he is still young, he is tall, strong and mobile and he will give us a real physical presence.

Al-Hilal have not given up hope of signing Victor Osimhen.

Having missed out on a deal to bring the Nigeria to the club before pre-Club World Cup deadline passed, reports claim they are considering an improved offer.

Calafiori: I'm happy at Arsenal

Riccardo Calafiori has insisted that he is happy at Arsenal.

The Italian has been linked with a move back to the Serie A despite only joining the Gunners last year.

He had an injury-laden season last term, making 19 appearances in his first campaign in north London, but he told Di Marzio that he was content with where he was.

"At Arsenal, I'm very happy,” he said.

"I always feel good in any position I play in order to help the team. What was missing last season was consistency and I'll look to find that consistency next season.

"When I felt good, I always played and made a difference in the team. So the goal next season is to be in form for the whole season."

Liverpool enter Fofana race

Liverpool are also in the race to sign Lyon’s Malick Fofana.

On Monday, it was revealed that Chelsea made informal contact with the Ligue 1 side for the 20-year-old.

But according to L’Equipe, Liverpool are looking at him too.

Fofana has only been at Lyon since January 2024 but he established himself as a regular last season, scoring 11 goals and claiming six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

Having invested €19.5m (£16.6m) to buy Fofana from Gent, Lyon are said to be demanding over €50m (£42.6m) to let him leave.

Simons to leave Leipzig

Big news coming out of Germany!

The Athletic are reporting that Xavi Simons has told RB Leipzig that he wishes to leave the club this summer.

The midfielder has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, so this news may alert the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Any interested party will have to stump up the cash as Leipzig are said to be determined to resist offers below €70m (£59m).

Milos Kerkez 'announces' Liverpool move

Milos Kerkez has jumped the gun and seemingly announced his move to Liverpool.

The Bournemouth left-back is expected to leave Bournemouth for Anfield in the coming days in a deal, with both clubs in talks over a deal worth at least £40million.

Talks between the two clubs are reportedly at an advanced stage, and there is a hope an agreement over a deal will be reached this week. But, at this stage, Kerkez remains a Cherries player.

But that has not stopped him greeting his soon-to-be-new fans. Speaking on a live stream with a Serbia-based Liverpool supporters group, the Bournemouth full-back reportedly said: "Hi! Greetings to all Liverpool fans."

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has publicly admitted his interest in Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero.

The Argentine has previously said that he would like to play in La Liga at some point in his career, opening the door to a potential departure from north London.

Chelsea great extends at Lazio

Pedro has extended his stay at Lazio.

Now 37, the Spaniard has enjoyed a highly decorated career. With Chelsea he picked up one Premier League, one FA Cup, and one Europa League. He was at Barcelona beforehand, where he became a five-time La Liga champion and three-time Champions League winner.

He moved to Lazio in 2021 after a brief stint at Roma, and has now signed a one-year extension with the club, where he has scored 24 goals in 131 league appearances.

Ter Stegen rejects Galatasaray

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has turned down an offer from Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey.

The Super Lig side are looking to splash the cash this summer to add to their marquee signing of Leroy Sane, and they’re targeting a new goalkeeper.

It was previously reported that they had approached Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson over a potential move, but the Brazilian turned them down, and they have had a similar result with Barcelona shot-stopper ter Stegen.

Real in Diaz talks

Real Madrid are looking to extend Brahim Diaz’s contract.

The Spaniard, who spent three years on loan at AC Milan, came into the first-team fold at the Bernabeu properly last season, playing 31 games and scoring four and assisting twice.

Onana tells Mbeumo to join Man Utd

Andre Onana has tried to persuade Bryan Mbeumo to sign for Manchester United.

The pair are international team-mates with Cameroon, and Onana, the current United goalkeeper, is looking to play intermediary to make a move happen with the Brentford forward.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Onana tried speaking to Mbeumo to convince him to move to the north-west while on international duty, with United now rumoured to be rivalled by Tottenham for Mbeumo’s signature.

MIlan open talks for Zinchenko

AC Milan are interested in signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal.

The Serie A side have opened talks with the Gunners over the Ukrainian, who can play at left-back or in midfield.

Reports in Italy claim that Zinchenko could be available for as little as £10million.

Mbeumo 'accepts' speculation

Bryan Mbeumo has said that the speculation around his future is “new” to him, but that he “needs to accept it”.

The Brentford forward has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Tottenham this summer, and is expected to leave the Gtech Community Stadium in this transfer window.

Speaking to Sky at the Canadian Grand Prix, Mbeumo said: "It [transfer speculation] is a bit new for me I would say!

"I think it can be the life of a footballer and you need to accept it."

Pedro pens new Lazio deal

Pedro has signed a new contract at Lazio.

The former Chelsea winger, now 37, will extend his deal at the Rome club for one more year, having played 30 times in Serie A last term, scoring 10 goals.

Andrews no1 target to replace Frank

Keith Andrews is the no1 target to replace Thomas Frank as manager of Brentford.

The Bees have a history of internal appointments, with Frank himself an assistant to Dean Smith before taking over at the helm.

Now, the west Londoners have the tricky task of replacing the Dane, who has moved to Tottenham.

Andrews, a first-team coach last term, is now regarded as the favourite to succeed Frank, although his appointment is not a formality as of yet, with other candidates, like Burnley’s Scott Parker, also being considered.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has publicly admitted his interest in Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero.

The Argentine has previously said that he would like to play in La Liga at some point in his career, opening the door to a potential departure from north London.

Al-Hilal are ‘insisting’ on signing Victor Osimhen.

Fabirizio Romano reports that, even though the Napoli striker rejected the Saudi side’s proposal 10 days ago, Hilal are still trying to convince the Nigerian to sign for them.

Galatasaray, where Osimhen spent last season on loan, are trying to sign him permanently, while a few Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are still in the race for his signature.

Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick has had ‘multiple enquiries’ from a range of clubs.

Enzo Maresca has confirmed Chelsea want to sign a new winger this summer.

The Blues are light on attacking options out wide after deciding not to turn Jadon Sancho’s loan move from Manchester United into a permanent deal.

Chelsea are also without Mykhailo Mudryk following his provisional ban for allegedly testing positive for a banned substance.

Having missed out on a deal to bring the Nigeria to the club before pre-Club World Cup deadline passed, reports claim they are considering an improved offer.

Reports claim that Al-Hilal hope to entice Osimhen with a stunning £42.6million (€50m) per year offer.

Manchester United will be watching developments closely amid claims of Osimhen being a high-profile target of theirs.

Arsenal make Williams offer

The future of Nico Williams has been discussed in today's edition of Sport - the Spanish publication.

The winger has been linked with a move to Arsenal, but is said to be keen to join Barcelona instead.

Even though the Spain international is aware Liverpool’s Luis Díaz is the priority target for the La Liga champions, he is reportedly willing to do everything possible, including taking a pay cut, to move to Barcelona.

However, Sport state ‘Arsenal are bidding hard’ for the Williams and add that they have made a decisive move to try and secure his services by offering him a net annual salary of €9m (£7.6m), which neither Barca nor Athletic club can match.

That said, the newspaper states Williams has ‘asked for time’ and wants to exhaust all options of joining Barcelona before considering other clubs.

AC Milan set Maignan meeting

AC Milan will try and convince Mike Maignan to sign a new contract after talks with Chelsea collapsed.

The goalkeeper's current deal expires next summer and he was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League side.

However, after Chelsea failed to reach an agreement with Milan in time for the Club World Cup, the Rossoneri have an opportunity to secure Maignan's future.

Calciomercato claim new manager Max Allegri and new director of sport Igli Tare will have meetings with Maignan next week.

The plan is to sit the France international down and try to convince him that this is a project worth sticking with.

SIGNING CONFIRMED

Leeds have made their first summer signing as they gear up for a return to the Premier League.

Lukas Nmecha has arrived at Elland Road on a free transfer after his contract expired at Wolfsburg.

The 26-year-old forward will officially become a Leeds player on July 1.

Napoli eye Grealish swoop

Napoli have already recruited one player from the Premier League this summer, and they seem to be on the market for another.

According to reports, the Serie A champions are targeting Man City outcast Jack Grealish and Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Leyton Orient have rejected a £1.5million bid from Charlton for Ethan Galbraith.

Galbraith starred for Orient in League One last season and is attracting interest from several Championship sides, with at least three other clubs expected to bid for the 24-year-old this week.

Charlton are targeting Galbraith ahead of their return to the Championship next season, having just tied down manager Nathan Jones to a new five-year contract.

Orient are reluctant to lose any of the key players of their team that lost in the League One play-off final to Charlton at Wembley last month.

Tottenham are weighing up an approach for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

This is according to the Mail who claim Spurs' interest, which could be formalised as soon as this week, comes despite the Toffees telling suitors that Branthwaite is not for sale this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are planning to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the striker's future by hijacking a potential move to Arsenal or Manchester United and bring him to Turin instead.

Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested in the player’s services, and the Blues came close to securing his services ahead of the Club World Cup but failed to reach an agreement.

Frankfurt value the player at £85.1m.

Interest in Jhon Duran

Napoli and Fenerbahce have made bids for Jhon Duran.

That’s according to reports in Turkey, that suggest that the former Aston Villa striker could depart the Saudi Pro League just five months into his spell in the Middle East.

Duran joined Al-Nassr in January 2025, and has played 13 times in the SPL, scoring eight goals.

Barcelona shot stopper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has reportedly agreed personal terms with Galatasaray ahead of a potential summer move.

The German fell out of favour at Barcelona this summer as he struggled with injury. Currently their longest serving player, now with 11 years at the Camp Nou, he endured a tough campaign as Barcelona won the domestic double last season.
