Rashford could be set for another loan

Manchester United would be open to sending Marcus Rashford out on loan again next season.

The forward is not in Ruben Amorim’s plans and, after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, is on the hunt for a new club.

The Manchester Evening News report that although United want to sell Rashford, he is unwilling to take a wage cut on his current £325,000-a-week salary.

That is limiting options for a permanent sale and so United are preparing for another loan exit.

Update on Liverpool interest in Isak

There has been a lot of talk in recent days about Liverpool making a huge move for Alexander Isak.

With Florian Wirtz’s arrival likely to be announced today, the Reds are turning their focus to other targets and want to sign a striker.

However, The Telegraph report that Newcastle still have no interest in selling Isak.

It’s claimed that a bid of more than £150m would be required to even start negotiations, with the Magpies expected to demand close to the world record £200m that PSG paid for Neymar.

Four Man United players to be left out of tour

Ruben Amorim will leave Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony out of Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States as they look for moves away from Old Trafford.

The Portuguese is facing a comprehensive overhaul of his squad after a challenging campaign saw them finish 15th in the Premier League and lose to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

He has wasted little time in deciding which players will be cut out of his long-term plans, targeting a new look attack as he placed Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, and Antony up for sale.

According to reports in The Sun, United hope to sell the quartet early in the summer, and they will be left to train individually at the Carrington training ground should they fail to find a move before the Red Devils fly out for preseason.

Maresca responds to Madueke rumours

Enzo Maresca says Chelsea have no intention of selling Noni Madueke this summer.

Arsenal were yesterday linked with a surprise move for Madueke as the club continues to scour the transfer market for upgrades to their attacking line-up.

Madueke has reportedly been looked at as a summer window opportunity but, when asked for an update on the player's future, Maresca dismissed talk of an exit.

Maresca told reporters: "Noni is our player, you can read a lot of speculation at the moment but we consider Noni our player for the coming season."

Arsenal sent Zaire-Emery message

Arsenal have shown interest in PSG midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.

According to TBR Football, the Gunners have made an enquiry and are pondering a move for the 19-year-old.

However, they have been told that PSG currently have no plans to let Zaire-Emery leave.

Zubimendi arrives in London

Martin Zubimendi has arrived in London to finalise his move to Arsenal.

The Real Sociedad midfielder will join the Gunners, who activated his release clause of around £51m.

There had been talk of Real Madrid trying to hijack the deal, but Arsenal look set to finally secure the Spaniard’s signature.

Quansah to complete Leverkusen move

Bayer Leverkusen are close to wrapping up the signing of Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah.

The Bundesliga club have agreed a final fee of around £30m plus £5m in add-ons, with talks between the clubs in the final stages.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Quansah has given the green light to the move and it is likely to be completed in the next 48 hours.

Chelsea could make a big-money move for Brighton star Joao Pedro.

The Brazilian is a key target for Newcastle, who have been in talks over a £60m deal and hoped to complete a deal.

However, The Sun report that Chelsea also have real interest in Pedro and could now rival the Magpies, with both having Champions League football to offer.

Kehl reveals Gittens 'conversations'

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl is confident Jamie Gittens will remain “professional” as speculation continues over his future.

Chelsea pushed to sign the winger before the start of the Club World Cup and had a £42million bid rejected by the Bundesliga club.

The second transfer window of the summer is open and the Blues remain determined to sign Gittens, having agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old.

Chelsea are expected to return with an improved offer, though it remains to be seen if it will meet Dortmund’s valuation of around £50m.

“We’ve had one or two conversations with Jamie in the last few days,” Kehl said of Gittens.

“He’s professional enough to know he has to perform. That’s also in his nature. Jamie will still be very important for us in this tournament. We’ll see what happens after that.

“But I don’t have a negative opinion of him.”

Tottenham make Kudus approach

Tottenham have enquired about the possibility of signing Mohammed Kudus.

West Ham are said to be open to selling the 24-year-old for the right price, to enable the squad to be rebuilt under Graham Potter.

EXWHUEmployee reports that Spurs have made a £50m approach, but that will not be accepted.

Kudus has an £85m release clause and West Ham are holding out for closer to that figure.

Gyokeres makes transfer decision

Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly told friends and family he will join Arsenal this summer.

The Sporting striker was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United to join up with former boss Ruben Amorim.

However, talkSPORT claim that Gyokeres expects to make the move to the Gunners, even though a fee has not yet been agreed.

While Gyokeres had hoped Sporting would accept around £60m, it’s believed they want closer to £80m for the 27-year-old.

Manchester United are looking to offer a player-plus-cash deal for Hugo Ekitike, with Joshua Zirkzee tipped to be involved.

Frankfurt are demanding a fee of around £85m, with Chelsea known to be interested.

Cash-strapped United, though, could look to trim that fee down with the inclusion of Zirkzee, whom they signed from Bologna for £36.5m last summer.

They also remain in conversations for Viktor Gyokeres.

Tottenham target Eze as Son replacement

It could be a double blow for Crystal Palace, with Tottenham keen on a deal for Eberechi Eze this summer.

The England midfielder has been linked with Spurs plenty in the past, but the trail had gone somewhat cold over recent months.

Liverpool are expected to make a big move for Marc Gueh as Jarell Quansah heads to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Telegraph report that the Reds are now firmly in pole position to sign the Crystal Palace centre-back, despite rival interest from Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle.

Spurs failed wtih a bid worth £70million in January, of which £55m was guaranteed, but Palace are not in as strong a position six months on as Guehi enters the final year of his contract.

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.

According to Florence newspaper Corriere Fiorentino, via Sport Witness, United are assessing options to bolster their attack and Kean is now of interest.

Kean has a €52m (£44.5m) release clause in his contract, which makes him significantly cheaper than Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres, and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal have taken a look at Madueke's situation as they scan the market for opportunities on the wing, having seen key target Nico Williams prefer a move to Barcelona or Bayern Munich.

Chelsea's interest in Jamie Gittens, which is expected to be revived, would push Madueke further down the pecking order.

Man Utd increase Mbeumo bid as forward has change of heart

Manchester United have reportedly improved their bid for Bryan Mbeumo, who is said to be leaning towards a move to Tottenham.

United saw an opening bid of £45million, plus £10m in add-ons, rejected by the Bees earlier in June, with the west London club looking for closer to £70m to sell the 25-year-old.

Thomas Frank's move across London to Tottenham saw Spurs enter the race for a player who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

Journalist Duncan Castles reports that United have now moved to wrap up a deal for Mbeumo by offering a deal worth in excess of £60m.

Mbeumo has previously been thought to prefer a move to United over rival bidders, but Castles adds that it is in fact Spurs who could now be the more attractive option.

Everton in Branthwaite talks

Everton have opened contract talks with Jarrad Branthwaite as David Moyes looks to tie his future to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Scot reportedly hopes to build his squad around Branthwaite and hopes to tempt him to stay with an improved contract.

Reports in Corriere dello Sport claim that Inter Milan are willing to ‘do everything’ to land Rasmus Hojlund this summer.

He is seen as a suitable replacement for Angel Correa and Marko Arnautovic, both of whom will depart this summer.

Chelsea’s sister club RC Strasbourg have appointed Gregory Thil as head of recruitment.

He will join from RC Lens on July 15.

He will be tasked with scouting fresh talent to bring into the BlueCo network, many of whom could follow the likes of Andrey Santos and Mamadou Sarr in joining Chelsea.

As a player, Thil became Boulogne’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Chelsea’s Caleb Wiley is set to spend the 2025-26 season on loan at Watford.

The USMNT midfielder spent the back half of the 2024-25 season at Vicarage Road, making 10 Championship appearances.

According to reports in The Athletic, both clubs hope to see the player get a year of consistent playing time under his belt in the Championship.

Wiley moved to Chelsea from Atlanta United in July 2024.

Jarrell Quansah is of interest to Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen and Liverpool have done plenty of business together this summer, with Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz already making the move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.

Federico Chiesa told to find new challenge

Newly appointed Italy head coach Gennaro Gattuso told Federico Chiesa that he must be playing regular football if he wants to return to the national camp.

Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in August 2024 but failed to impress Arne Slot. The forgettable campaign has seen him heavily linked with a move away from Anfield, with Napoli emerging as a likely destination.

Speaking at his managerial unveiling, Gattuso instructed Chiesa to find consistent playing time as he chases another call-up ahead of the World Cup.

“In these days, I called 35 players [who did not make the squad], I spoke to everyone,” he said. “Even Chiesa, whom I told to play consistently. There are players who have been out but who can lend a hand. The pitch speaks: if you do things well, the doors of the national team are open.”

Thomas Partey set for Arsenal exit

It looks like Thomas Partey will indeed be leaving Arsenal this month.

Earlier we brought you those reports that talks between the club and their Ghanaian midfielder over an extension to his expiring contract were not advancing.

Now ESPN claim that, with negotiations at a “standstill”, Partey is not expected to re-sign and that he is expected to leave Arsenal when his deal runs out on June 30.

The 32-year-old is said to have interest from Barcelona and clubs in Turkey.

Chelsea in talks over Gittens, Pedro and Kudus

Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens is intent on joining Chelsea this summer and is expected to move to Stamford Bridge if the two clubs can agree a transfer fee, writes Dom Smith.

Gittens has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but a move was not finalised during the first summer transfer window after Dortmund rejected the Blues’ £42million bid.

Thomas Partey could well be leaving Arsenal this month.

The Ghanaian midfielder is out of contract in north London at the end of June and has yet to agree an extension.

Nico Williams agrees Barcelona deal

It looks like Arsenal have lost out to Barcelona on Nico Williams.

The Athletic Club and Spain star had been among the top targets for the Gunners as they seek a new winger as well as a striker this summer.

However, it was reported last week that Barcelona and Bayern Munich had become more likely next destinations for Williams if he were to leave San Mames in this window.

Florian Wirtz to undergo Liverpool medical today

It’s Florian Wirtz day for Liverpool at long last.

The Reds have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the German forward after finally clinching a deal with Bayer Leverkusen last week that could be worth a British record £116m.

Wirtz has been on holiday since Germany’s recent appearance in the Nations League finals on home soil, pictured earlier this week with fellow Liverpool recruit from Leverkusen Jeremie Frimpong.

Sky Germany report that the 22-year-old will arrive on Merseyside today to undergo the first part of his medical, with the second stage to come on Friday.

He will sign a five-year contract until 2030 worth a cool £17.1m gross per season.

Chelsea in talks over Joao Pedro, Gittens and Kudus deals

Chelsea have their eye on all of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Mohammed Kudus with the summer transfer window now back open, reports claim.

The Blues failed to close a deal with Borussia Dortmund for England Under-21 winger Gittens before last week’s initial pre-Club World Cup deadline, while they have also been strongly linked to West Ham forward Kudus and Pedro at Brighton.

News of Chelsea making contact over Pedro - strongly courted by Newcastle for around £60m - comes from Fabrizio Romano, while The Guardian claim that they are prioritising Gittens as their top target but have also held further talks over Kudus and Pedro.

Sesko transfer twist as Arsenal sent new message

Another day, another new twist on the Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal transfer front.

The Gunners have been pushing for weeks now to strike a deal with RB Leipzig for the Slovenian striker and yesterday it was suggested that they had agreed personal terms.

It has since been claimed that Sesko’s camp are trying to force Leipzig into lowering their asking price this summer - an accusation strongly refuted by the player’s agent.

“This is far from truth,” Elvis Basanovic told GiveMeSport.

“We respect RB Leipzig and I am 100 per cent convinced RB Leipzig will also respect our decision for the next step when we decide to do it.

“Even if there may be – or will be – a strong desire of the player to move to a certain club, we will never force or blackmail RB Leipzig.

“I believe this is not the right way, because the way you actually exit from the club shows your values. Values that you are bringing into a new club

“I can understand in very big transfers, there are a lot of different interests but no matter what, I believe in football world should be more respect.

“So that’s why we do things in the right way or we don’t do them. It’s very simple, even maybe in the media it looks very complicated.”

He added that Sesko would only move when they “recognise a special club, a special project with a special coach”, insisting that a transfer could happen “next week… or next year, or in three years.”

Chris Wilder has been sacked by Sheffield United.

The Championship club confirmed on Wednesday that Wilder, who returned to the club for a second stint two years ago, has been relieved of his duties at Bramall Lane after he failed to get the Blades promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is said to be holding out for a transfer to Manchester United despite heavy interest coming from Tottenham.

The Cameroon striker was reported to have reached an agreement with United early in the window, but since has fielded offers from Spurs, now home to Thomas Frank, as well as Arsenal and Newcastle.

Robertson decides to leave Liverpool

Andy Robertson has decided to leave Liverpool, according to reports.

The Scot has proven one of the best bargains in Premier League history, winning eight major honours since joining from Hull City for just £8m in 2017.

But he is ready to call time on his Liverpool career, with the Spanish press reporting that he has informed his agents that he would like to join Atletico Madrid.

He is out of contract at the end of next season, and does not want to play for another Premier League side out of respect for Liverpool and its supporters.

Igor Thiago is set to trade Brentford for Besiktas this summer, according to reports in the Turkish media.

Ajansspor claim that the club have agreed terms with both the player and with the Bees, with the deal soon to be confirmed.

Man City women have confirmed the signing of Jade Rose from Harvard University on a four-year deal.

The Canada international joins on a four-year deal, and will wear the No4 shirt. She will officially join up on July 1.

The 22-year-old defender was first scouted by Harvard coaches three years before she joined the university, and has picked up a litany of personal accolades throughout her collegiate career.

Edin Dzeko is set to join Fiorentina this week as a free agent after his Fenerbahce contract expired.

Liverpool’s quest to replace Darwin Nunez with a world-class striker could see them smash the British transfer record for the second time this summer.

Premier League fixtures have now been released for the 2025-26 season.

Liverpool will kick off the campaign, hosting Bournemouth, while Arsenal face a nightmare opening run, facing Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle at home.

Nottingham Forest pick new target

Nottingham Forest are eyeing more South American talent, now targeting Palmeiras’ midfielder Richard Rios.

The 23-cap Colombia international would command a fee of at least £85m.

Guardiola confirms brace of City exits

Both Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker will leave Man City this summer, Pep Guardiola has now confirmed.

The two players’ moves had long been rumoured, as Walker requested a transfer in January and Grealish struggled to crack the City lineup this season.

Guardiola has now provided an update on Grealish’s situation, saying he was an ‘exceptional’ player.

“It was a conversation between [Grealish] and the club and they decide. Jack is an exceptional player, the only reason why he didn’t play last season is of course my decisions, and we decide that he has to play - and the club was honest, he was honest.

Arsenal will not make a second bid for key striker target Viktor Gyokeres, according to reports in the Portuguese press.

They have reportedly decided that he is too expensive, as Sporting continue to demand a fee in the region of £68m for the 27-year-old.

Their initial offer of £47m with £8.5m in add-ons will not be improved upon, with Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins tipped as alternative targets.

Neymar reveals potential switch ahead of Club World Cup

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain legend Neymar has revealed that he was offered a move to a Club World Cup side ahead of the tournament.

He is currently plying his trade at Brazilian side Santos, where he began his career.
