Mbeumo will not be sold cheaply

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has warned clubs wanting to sign Bryan Mbeumo that a summer transfer will not come cheap.

Mbeumo enjoyed a stunning season for the Bees, scoring 20 Premier League goals from the wing, along with a further seven assists, and is expected to be the subject of transfer interest this summer.

Sky in Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has delivered an update on Florian Wirtz and it’s very positive for Liverpool

He said: "Bayer Leverkusen are optimistic to get the deal done very quickly.

"It is the ambition of both clubs and i expect a total agreement between both clubs on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

"There are also still talks regarding a potential player from Liverpool, combined with a transfer fee of around €120m to €140m.

"Both teams are close, the atmosphere is very positive and Florian Wirtz is waiting for the green light to pass his medical."

'Positive' Sane talks

Leroy Sane has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham said to be interested in a free transfer.

However, it would appear the winger is likely to stay at Bayern Munich.

According to reports, Wednesday’s meeting between Sane’s representative Pini Zahavi and Bayern Director of Sport Max Eberl has been described as “positive”.

Whilst there isn’t yet an agreement over a new contract, it is understood Bayern are hopeful a deal can be struck.

They don’t have much time to secure Sane’s signature as his current deal runs out on June 30.

First Bayer Leverkusen with Florian Wirtz and now, Bruno Fernandes has decided to confuse Manchester United supporters with a post on social media.

According to reports in Spain, Gabriel Martinelli is on Barcelona’s shortlist this summer.

Plymouth have announced boss Miron Muslic has left the club to take over at German second-tier side Schalke.

Argyle "reluctantly allowed" Muslic to begin talks to leave earlier this week and the manager has now taken over the seven-time German champions, who were relegated two years ago.

Muslic replaced Wayne Rooney at Home Park in January but could not save Plymouth from suffering relegation to League One.

A Plymouth statement read: "Miron Muslic has departed the club to join 2. Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04.

"Muslic joined Argyle in January, overseeing 23 matches, including the memorable victory against Liverpool in the Emirates FA Cup. Despite his best efforts, he could not stave off relegation with Argyle dropping to Sky Bet League One on the final day of the season.

Rashford ready to take pay cut to join Barcelona

More details have emerged from Barcelona's meeting with Marcus Rashford representatives earlier this week.

Sport journalist Toni Juanmarti, who broke the news of the meeting yesterday, reports today that Rashford is willing to accept a pay cut to join Barcelona on a straight loan deal.

Rashford currently earns more than £300,000 a week at Manchester United, who would want a loan fee to part ways with their former talisman.

The report adds that Barcelona see signing Rashford on those terms as as "a very low-risk operation", which has seen the player move ahead of Luis Diaz on the list of transfer priorities.

Manchester City are expected to listen to offers for James McAtee this summer.

The young midfielder has been allowed to join England’s Under-21s squad for the summer Euros, and Manchester Evening News report that signals a likely end to his time with City.

Guardiola has been clear in his belief that his squad must be together for the Club World Cup, and MEN report that McAtee’s sanctioned exit underlines the player’s lowly squad status.

News out of France ahead of the Champions League final claims that Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has agreed to become Al-Hilal head coach.

Inzaghi was asked about his future at the pre-match press conference, to which he said: "I’m happy here at Inter. I feel good and I’ve everything to do important things at this club."

But Foot Mercato claims that a verbal agreement between Al-Hilal and Inzaghi has been struck, and the Italian will move to Saudi Arabia ahead of the Club World Cup.

Walker joined in January and initially made a strong impact, but after a couple of small injuries saw him fall out of favour.

Spurs confirm five exits as Danso joins permanently

Tottenham have confirmed the exits of Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilon, Alfie Whiteman and Timo Werner.

Spurs have also confirmed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s loan move to Marseille has been made permanent, understood to be for a fee of around £17m.

Kevin Danso, who joined Spurs on loan from Lens in January, has also made his move permanent for around £21m.

Ronaldo uncertainty continues

Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from Al-Nassr was expected to be announced this week, but there are now reports he could stay at the club.

Ronaldo looked set to leave Saudi Arabia after two and a half years, 99 goals and no major trophies. He has been linked with moves to MLS, Brazil, Turkey and former club Sporting Lisbon.

But FIFA president Gianni Infantino is desperate to have him involved in the Club World Cup, which launches a newly expanded version in two weeks' time.

The Athletic report that negotiations are ongoing and there is a belief a deal will be struck.

Bruno Fernandes leaving Manchester United means Kobbie Mainoo stays put this summer, despite Ruben Amorim not being wholly convinced by the player.

Fernandes is increasingly likely to move to Saudi Arabia in an £80million deal, and the club knows Mainoo also departing could lead to, as the I Paper put it, "all-out rebellion."

According to Teamnewsandtrix, the Gunners have moved quickly to reach an agreement with the striker amid ongoing talks over a transfer fee with RB Leipzig.

According to Sky Germany, Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta met with Leipzig counterpart Marcel Schafer in London earlier this week.

Sesko has a release clause worth at least €80million (£67.5m), and there is no guarantee the Gunners will match those fees but talks over payment structure have begun.

Suitors line up for Luis Diaz

Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have reportedly named Liverpool winger Luis Diaz as a top target in the summer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona also hold an interest, but their limited finances mean the possibility of a move will come down to the price set by Liverpool.

Diaz could be set to replace Ronaldo at Al Nassr should the Portugal legend take his leave from the club this summer, with reports from the Spanish press claiming he is interested in signing a short term deal to compete at the Club World Cup this summer. Chelsea ask Delap to prioritise Club World Cup

Chelsea’s extended pursuit of Liam Delap may soon come to a close, as they have reportedly paid his £30million release clause and have a medical booked in for Monday.

But another wrinkle has emerged, as The Telegraph report Chelsea have asked Delap to skip the U21 Euros this summer.

Delap, 22, had been expected to start the opening match of the U21 Euros in June, against Czech Republic, but the Blues hope he will opt instead to play the Club World Cup in the United States, where they will face ES Tunis, Flamengo, and a third unconfirmed team in the group stage.

Delap is said to be ‘desperate’ to play for England.

Man United great extends Serie A stay

David De Gea has signed a three-year contract extension with Serie A side Fiorentina amid interest from Bayern Munich and Monaco.

The Spaniard moved to Tuscany in 2024 after leaving United as a free agent, after which he spent the full 2023-24 season looking for a new club.

Now 34, he is back to form, making 34 league appearances as Fiorentina finished sixth in Serie A and reached the UEFA Conference League semi-finals, where they lost to Real Betis.

Liverpool confirm Frimpong signing

Liverpool have wasted no time in replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, today confirming the signing of Dutch full-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

The deal, reportedly worth around £30million, was completed today, mere hours after the announcement that Alexander-Arnold would join Real Madrid ahead of the Club World Cup.

Frimpong won the Bundesliga with Leverkusen in 2023-24, playing under the tutelage of Liverpool legend Xabi Alonso.

Amorim predicts Fernandes will stay at United

Ruben Amorim has made his feelings towards Bruno Fernandes clear, saying the forward needs to stay in Manchester.

The Portuguese is reportedly weighing up an £80million move to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

United beat Hong Kong 3-1 in a post-season friendly this afternoon, and Amorim said after the match that it would not be Fernandes’ last United match.

“I don’t know for sure, nobody knows, but I don’t think so,” he said.

“I think he’s seeing us taking some actions to change all the things and I think it’s all that he asks.

“I think he wants to stay, he’s saying no to a lot of things. It shows that he wants to win. I think he’s really young, he’s really good. He needs to be in the best league in the world.”

Liverpool are the latest Premier League club to court Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, according to Sky Germany.

Arne Slot is reported to be keen on the player as he looks to replace Darwin Nunez, who is set to leave Anfield this summer, with Atletico Madrid emerging as a potential destination.

Chelsea and Arsenal are also keen on Ekitike, and Frankfurt will demand €100 million for his services.

Ekitike, a two-time Ligue 1 champion with Paris Saint-Germain, played 48 times for Frankfurt this season, scoring 22 goals and assisting a further 12. Frankfurt finished third in the Bundesliga.

AC Milan sack Conceicao as Allegri appointment prepared

AC Milan have sacked coach Sergio Conceicao after just five months in charge.

Milan have endured a disappointing season in which they finished ninth in Serie A and missed out on European competition for the first time since 2019.

"The Club would like to thank Sergio and his staff for their commitment, professionalism and dedication shown during their time leading the team over the past few months," Milan said in a statement.

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to return as head coach, 11 years after his first spell and a year after leaving Juventus.

Conceicao was appointed in December as a replacement for Paulo Fonseca and got off to an impressive start as he led Milan to victory in the Italian Super Cup in his second match in charge.

However, results in the league did not improve under the Portuguese and they were also eliminated from the Champions League in a playoff loss to Dutch side Feyenoord in February.

Milan's last hope of salvaging the season ended earlier in May with a bitter 1-0 loss to Bologna in the Coppa Italia final.

Conceicao was not on the touchline for the season's final match against Monza at San Siro, having received a one-match ban after being sent off in the defeat by AS Roma last weekend, a result that ended Milan's last hope of securing a European spot.

Man Utd will move for Osimhen if Fernandes and Rashford leave

Manchester United could launch a bid to sign Victor Osimhen once Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are sold.

Fernandes is in talks over a move to Saudi Arabia, while Rashford is hoping to join Barcelona after a mixed loan spell at Aston Villa.

Osimhen is in need of a new club after being frozen out by Napoli and sending the season with Galatasaray. Foot Mercato report that United remain interested but are currently unable to match the player's wage demands.

Getting both Fernandes and Rashford off the books will significant help that cause, but Saudi clubs are ready to blow any United package for Osimhen out of the water.

The report adds that Al Hilal - who also want Fernandes - have an agreement with Osimhen on a three-year deal worth four times his current Napoli wage.

Atletico president Miguel Angel Gilis is set to contact Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over signing Cristian Romero.

It had been widely expected that Romero would join the Spanish giants this summer, but Tottenham's Europa League win - and subsequent Champions League qualification - has thrown doubt on a deal.

Atletico were also not willing to spend much more than €50million, which would almost match what Spurs paid for the player three years ago, in which time he has won the World Cup, Copa America and most recently named man of the match in the Europa League final.

Rashford willing to take pay cut to join Barcelona

More details have emerged from Barcelona's meeting with Marcus Rashford representatives earlier this week.

Sport journalist Toni Juanmarti, who broke the news of the meeting yesterday, reports today that Rashford is willing to accept a pay cut to join Barcelona on a straight loan deal.

Rashford currently earns more than £300,000 a week at Manchester United, who would want a loan fee to part ways with their former talisman.

The report adds that Barcelona see signing Rashford on those terms as as "a very low-risk operation", which has seen the player move ahead of Luis Diaz on the list of transfer priorities.

Arsenal have been permitted to book a medical for Martin Zubimendi, but fans should not hold their breath.

Endo breaks silence on Liverpool future

Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo says he is happy to stay at the club as speculation regarding his future grows.

Manchester United head coach Amorim was happy to reflect on his side’s shock friendly loss to ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday afternoon.

Deal announced

Burnley are continuing to make moves ahead of their return to the Premier League.

After announcing the arrivals of Bashir Humphreys and Marcus Edwards over the past week, it has now been confirmed that Zian Flemming has signed a four-year deal with the club.

Flemming joined the Clarets on loan from Championship rivals Millwall last summer and has now made the switch to Turf Moor permanent.

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak says the club will make a number of signings this summer and hope to have many in place before the Club World Cup starts in two weeks’ time.

Ronaldo to confirm Al-Nassr exit today

Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from Al-Nassr will be announced today amid ongoing speculation over his future move.

Liverpool have poached scout Tika Musonda from Tottenham.

The Mail reports that Musonda, brother of former Chelsea youth star Charly, has joined the Reds as a global talent scout.

Musonda leaves Spurs after three and a half years, having previously spent two years with Chelsea.

Tottenham to let four players leave

Tottenham are set to let four players leave the club following the expiry of their contracts.

Goalkeepers Fraser Forster and Alfie Whiteman will depart alongside left-back Sergio Reguilon, who has only made six appearances for the club in the last three years.

Veteran defender Ben Davies is also out of contract in June, but Spurs hold the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months and a decision is expected by next week.

Tottenham will not trigger the option in Timo Werner's loan, with the ex-Chelsea forward to return to RB Leipzig after a poor second spell.

A call is also required on the option to turn Mathys Tel's loan from Bayern Munich into a permanent deal.

Tel scored three times in 20 appearances for Spurs and while there is a deadline to trigger the option, no decision is expected before the early summer transfer window of June 1 to 10.
