Barcelona are in pole position to sign Joao Garcia, despite Arsenal’s interest in the Spanish goalkeeper.

However, while it has been expected that the club would wrap up a deal for the Espanyol star, with speculation over Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s future at Barcelona, he has now insisted that he is not leaving the club this summer.

"Nobody has spoken to me," Ter Stegen said. "I know I'll be in Barcelona next year. Barca is one of the biggest clubs, and competition is normal.

"For me, the situation isn't changing. I'm extremely excited about next season with a team that's very young, dynamic, and hungry."

Brentford and Liverpool agree £18m Kelleher deal

It was said that Brentford would not agree to the sale of Mark Flekken unless they had a replacement lined up and ready to go, and that seems to be the case.

The Caoimhin Kelleher story is developing quickly this afternoon after news emerged that Bayer Leverkusen had agreed to sign current Bees No1 Flekken for €10m (£8.4m).

Brentford look to have now swiftly struck a deal for Kelleher, the long-term deputy to Alisson Becker at Anfield.

According to Fabrizio Romano and others, the two clubs have agreed an £18m package for the Republic of Ireland international including add-ons.

Brentford in advanced talks with Liverpool over Caoimhin Kelleher

As expected, Brentford are now believed to be pursuing a deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

The Bees have been strongly linked with the Republic of Ireland international in the event that they sold current No1 Mark Flekken amid interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

Earlier today it was reported that Flekken would undergo a medical at the BayArena after a deal worth €10m (£8.4m) was agreed with Leverkusen.

According to Sky Sports, talks between Brentford and Liverpool over Kelleher have already reached an advanced stage, with a fee of approximately £18m mooted.

Man Utd confirm Matheus Cunha deal

He was spotted outside The Lowry Hotel in Manchester earlier today and Matheus Cunha’s move to United has now been officially confirmed.

The Red Devils just announced in a statement that they have reached an agreement with Wolves to sign the Brazilian forward, who is believed to have penned a five-year contract at Old Trafford.

United triggered the £62.5m release clause in a four-and-a-half year contract extension only signed by Cunha at Molineux back in February, agreeing to Wolves’ demands that it be paid in three instalments over the next two seasons as per that deal, rather than spread over five years.

United said the transfer would be subject to visa and registration.

Wolves have also confirmed what is a club-record deal for them, writing: “Everyone at Wolves would like to thank Matheus for his contributions in old gold and wish he and his family the best of luck for the future.”

Chelsea lead Liverpool in Hugo Ekitike race

Chelsea are currently leading Liverpool in the race for Hugo Ekitike, according to the latest reports.

Both Premier League clubs are said to be keen on a deal for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, who has bounced back in the Bundesliga following a frustrating spell at PSG that came after his breakthrough at Reims.

Chelsea evidently want to strengthen their squad for a return to the Champions League with more than one striker as Ipswich’s Liam Delap prepares to undergo a medical, while Liverpool want further attacking reinforcements on top of Florian Wirtz with the Anfield futures of the likes of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez in doubt.

According to BILD and CaughtOffside, Arsenal are no longer in the race for Ekitike, with Chelsea ahead of Liverpool as things stand after opening talks with the player’s representatives.

Manchester City are closing in on a huge double deal with the signings of Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.

The deposed Premier League champions are keen to take advantage of the opening of the first - early - summer transfer window to bolster their ranks ahead of the Club World Cup this month.

Having pulled out of the race for Liverpool target Florian Wirtz, City have instead been focused on pursuing AC Milan midfielder Reijnders and Lyon winger Cherki.

According to Fabrizio Romano, having been negotiating over Reijnders, they are now in talks over a deal for Cherki that is expected to cost €30m (£25.2m).

Romano says City are confident with quick progress expected in the coming days, aiming to welcome both Cherki and Reijnders this week.

Matheus Cunha spotted in Manchester before United move

It looks like Matheus Cunha’s move to Manchester United is now edging closer.

The Brazilian forward has been pictured outside the city’s Lowry Hotel this morning as he looks to complete a high-profile switch to Old Trafford.

United are believed to have reached an agreement with Wolves earlier this week that will see them pay Cunha’s £62.5m release clause at Molineux in three instalments over the next two seasons.

Wolves apparently rejected United’s opening bid to spread the payments over five years, instead insisting that the clause be honoured exactly as it’s written in a contract extension that was only signed back in February.

Cunha is said to have already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils and is expected to undergo a medical soon.

Brentford have reportedly agreed the sale of goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

The Dutch international has attracted strong interest from Bayer Leverkusen, where he would join compatriot and new boss Erik ten Hag.

According to Sky Germany, a €10m (£8.4m) deal to take Flekken to the BayArena is now considered as done and he will undergo a medical soon.

Arsenal are said to be in pole position to beat Manchester United to a deal for Giovanni Leoni.

The teenage defender has been making quite an impression around Europe this season with his mature performances for Parma in Serie A.

Leoni appears to have firm admirers in the Premier League, including both Arsenal and Manchester United.

Arsenal and Tottenham both in Leroy Sane talks

Arsenal and Tottenham are both in talks over a potential deal for Leroy Sane, reports claim.

The former Manchester City forward is out of contract at Bayern Munich later this month and has yet to agree an extension despite the Bundesliga champions reportedly hoping to seal a new agreement lasting until 2028.

Sane is being heavily linked with a return to the Premier League and Christian Falk of BILD - per CaughtOffside - claims that agent Pini Zahavi has been in discussions with both Arsenal and Tottenham.

Man Utd choose Bruno Fernandes replacement

Manchester United are said to have chosen their potential successor to Bruno Fernandes.

The previously unthinkable prospect of the influential captain potentially leaving Old Trafford this summer now looks to be a real possibility after it emerged on Friday before their final post-season friendly in Hong Kong that he was “seriously considering” a lucrative final offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal rumoured to be worth £180m over three years plus a £100m transfer fee.

Fernandes has supposedly been given another week to decide his future, but United seem to be making contingency plans.

According to the Sunday Mirror, they have identified his Portugal team-mate Pedro Goncalves as a possible successor, with Fernandes’ former club Sporting Lisbon expected to demand around £70m for the 26-year-old.

United are also said to retain a strong interest in fellow Sporting star Viktor Gyokeres of course.

Chelsea book Liam Delap medical

Liam Delap will undergo a medical at Chelsea on Monday.

In what will be considered quite a transfer coup at Stamford Bridge, the Ipswich striker has chosen the Conference League winners despite plenty of rival interest from the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Champions League football was said to be a crucial factor for Delap, who scored 12 times at Portman Road this season but could not save the Tractor Boys from being immediately relegated from the Premier League.

Chelsea activated Delap’s £30m release clause at Ipswich earlier this week and The Athletic now report that the former Manchester City forward will undergo a medical with the club on Monday as he prepares to reunite with Enzo Maresca and Cole Palmer.

Florian Wirtz to Liverpool latest

Liverpool are expected to swiftly wrap up the signing of Florian Wirtz.

Arne Slot’s reigning Premier League champions have been chasing a blockbuster deal for the highly-rated German forward since agreeing a £29.5m switch for his Bayer Leverkusen team-mate Jeremie Frimpong, which was officially announced on Friday.

Liverpool have made two bids for Wirtz so far, the second of which came on Friday and was said to total up to £109m.

According to Florian Plettenberg, that latest offer was not accepted by Leverkusen, who remain in negotiations with the Reds and could still get a player in return for Wirtz in part-exchange.

However, he says an agreement is now considered just days away, with Wirtz with the Germany squad as he waits to get permission to undergo a medical with Liverpool.

Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal update

Arsenal are clearly ramping up their move to sign Benjamin Sesko with the early summer transfer window now open for business.

The Slovenian striker has long been heavily linked with a high-profile switch to north London, though it appeared for quite a while like prolific Sporting Lisbon frontman Viktor Gyokeres had replaced him as their No1 striker target.

However, reports in recent days suggest that Sesko - said to be the preferred option of manager Mikel Arteta - has now been chosen as Arsenal’s priority option, with new sporting director Andrea Berta said to have held “secret talks” over a deal with RB Leipzig chief Marcel Schafer.

Sky Germany claim that the Gunners would have to pay almost £70m for Sesko, with negotiations said to be ongoing between the clubs regarding the exact terms and payment structure.

They add that Gyokeres remains very much an option for Arsenal as things stand despite talks over Sesko.

Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio will join Al-Ain on a short-term contract for the Club World Cup.

The club announced: "Al-Ain has signed Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio to participate with the team in the 2025 Club World Cup.

"Patricio will arrive to the United Arab Emirates tomorrow evening to undergo medical tests and join the first-team training," Al-Ain added.

This week has seen Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso issue an hands-off warning over Rodrygo amid links to Arsenal.

Leroy Sane has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham said to be interested in a free transfer.

However, it would appear the winger is likely to stay at Bayern Munich.

Muslic leaves Plymouth for Schalke

Plymouth have announced boss Miron Muslic has left the club to take over at German second-tier side Schalke.

Argyle "reluctantly allowed" Muslic to begin talks to leave earlier this week and the manager has now taken over the seven-time German champions, who were relegated two years ago.

Muslic replaced Wayne Rooney at Home Park in January but could not save Plymouth from suffering relegation to League One.

A Plymouth statement read: "Miron Muslic has departed the club to join 2. Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04.

"Muslic joined Argyle in January, overseeing 23 matches, including the memorable victory against Liverpool in the Emirates FA Cup. Despite his best efforts, he could not stave off relegation with Argyle dropping to Sky Bet League One on the final day of the season.

Rashford ready to take pay cut to join Barcelona

More details have emerged from Barcelona's meeting with Marcus Rashford representatives earlier this week.

Sport journalist Toni Juanmarti, who broke the news of the meeting yesterday, reports today that Rashford is willing to accept a pay cut to join Barcelona on a straight loan deal.

Rashford currently earns more than £300,000 a week at Manchester United, who would want a loan fee to part ways with their former talisman.

The report adds that Barcelona see signing Rashford on those terms as as "a very low-risk operation", which has seen the player move ahead of Luis Diaz on the list of transfer priorities.

Manchester City are expected to listen to offers for James McAtee this summer.

The young midfielder has been allowed to join England’s Under-21s squad for the summer Euros, and Manchester Evening News report that signals a likely end to his time with City.

News out of France ahead of the Champions League final claims that Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has agreed to become Al-Hilal head coach.

Inzaghi was asked about his future at the pre-match press conference, to which he said: "I’m happy here at Inter. I feel good and I’ve everything to do important things at this club."

AC Milan have sacked coach Sergio Conceicao after just five months in charge.

Chelsea set conditions for Sancho deal

Chelsea have opened talks with Jadon Sancho's representatives about new contract terms.

Sky Sports claim that Chelsea would like Sancho to stay - but only if they can agree on contract terms which fit in with the wage structure at the club.

Sancho joined the Blues on loan from Manchester United last summer and now have a £25m obligation to buy.

However, they can pay United a £5m penalty to get out of the obligation to buy.
